This paper examines the degree of pass-through and adjustment speed of retail interest rates in response to changes in monetary policy rates in commercial banks of Viet Nam during the period 07/2004 to 06/2014. The results show that the degree of pass-through of retail interest rates is incomplete but high (0.7-0.93). The adjustment speed of money market rates & retail interest rates is relatively slow. It takes from 3 to 6 months for money market rates & retail interest rates to be adjusted to long-term equilibrium, except 1 month VNIBOR. 1 month VNIBOR is sensitive to changes of discount rate & refinancing rate in short-term, contrary to 3 month VNIBOR . The degree of pass-through from market rates to retail interest rates is fairly high in the long-term but low in the short-term. The degree of pass-through is different between various retail interest rates. Specifically, the degree of pass-through of deposit rates is higher than that of lending rates both in the short-term & long-term

Using appropriate research methods and adhering to the research objectives helped us complete the article and clarifythe necessary content. The document research method helped us build a theoretical basis for the article. The content of thetheoretical basis presented in the article includes Organizational Commitment and the three-component commitment model(affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment) which is the basis and foundation for the analysisand proposed solutions. Using the random sampling method to ensure objectivity, 240 valid surveys were used to analyze andevaluate the commitment of employees working at Vietnamese insurance enterprises. Data analysis results show that thecommitment factor is rated at a low average level. The surveyed employees stated that their commitment to their organization isnot high, which means that the possibility of leaving the job is very high. To increase attachment and commitment to the business,we have proposed a number of solutions such as building corporate culture, developing serious recruitment regulations and alwayshaving supportive interactions between employees in the work environmen

Purpose: The Newly-Escaped-Poverty-List householders (NEPLH) in Vietnam served as the survey subjects for this study, which sought to determine the impact of "Personal Financial Literacy" on "The Probability of Using Lending Services of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (P_VBSP)" and "The Probability of Using Informal Private Lending Services (P_ILC)".   Design/methodology/approach: Survey data were collected from 186 respondents, by structured online questionnaire with convenient non-probability sampling technique.  Aspects of personal financial literacy (FLi) such as personal financial knowledge (FL1), personal financial skills (FL2), personal financial attitude (FL3), and personal financial behavior (FL4) are measured. When respondents were divided into groups based on subgroup criteria (CVj), such as gender, age, marital status, role in the family, career, education level, religion, and number of years since being removed from the list of poor households, ANOVA techniques were used to examine differences in various aspects of personal financial literacy. The impact of FLi and subgroup variables (CVj) on P_VBSP and P_ILC was assessed using the binary logistic regression analysis technique.   Findings: Research results show that  there is a statistical difference in the average score of FL1, FL2, FL3 and FL4. The research findings also show that FL2, FL4, and "Career Status – CAR" have a positive impact on P_VBSP, while "Aged group - AGE", "Education level - EDU", and "Number of years since being removed from the list of poor households - YEAR" have a negative impact on P_VBSP. Meanwhile, the P_ILC is positive influenced by the AGE factor and moves in the opposite direction of FL2, FL4, EDU, and YEAR.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The research findings provide the basis for governance implications as well as policy recommendations to promote financial literacy among the NEPLH in Vietnam, encouraging them access policy lending services from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, and at the same time help them stay away from informal private lending services, thereby helping them to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable economic development family.   Originality/value: A theoretical framework for personal finance literacy, including (i) financial knowledge, (ii) financial attitude, (iii) financial skills, and (iv) financial behavior, has been developed by the authors after reviewing earlier studies. At the same time, it is more significant to measure financial literacy by objective assessment than relying on the subjective self-assessment of each respondent in the context of actual study in Vietnam. In the model analyzing the influence of personal financial literacy on the decision of Newly-Escaped-Poverty-List householders in choosing the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies or Informal Private Credit Channels, the authors also took into account additional factors including gender, age group, marital status, role in the family, career, education level, religion, and number of years since being removed from the list of poor households

Microalgae cultivation in wastewater for many purposes has been investigated recently decade ago. In this study, Chlorella vulgaris was chosen to culture for examination of its influences on microorganisms of seafood wastewater in particular aerobic bacteria, Coliform and E. coli. The microalgae cultivation was realized in Erlenmeyer flasks containing seafood wastewater medium. Another was also grown in original medium called Sueoka medium for control. All experiments were set up until almost all Chlorella vulgaris decanted or flocculated in the bottom of flasks. The changes of bacteria counts including aerobic bacteria, Coliform and E. coli were measured to evaluate the impact of cultivation of Chlorella vulgaris on them in this sewage. Otherwise, the growth of microalgae has been also recorded for evaluating the effect of a new medium on metabolism of Chlorella vulgaris. The results showed that the bacteria counts were significantly reduced after day 3 of microalgae culture. These results have been calculated the efficiency of aerobic bacteria, Coliform and E. coli elimination out of wastewater medium represented approximately 70%, 81% and 90% respectively. These eliminations provided evidences of difficult metabolism of bacteria under the presence of microalgae as like as Chlorella vulgaris. In other words, the symbiosis of microalgae and bacteria in sewage could prevent the raising of bacteria counts

This paper presents the results of this research which utilizes solid waste resources in the environment, namely steel slag, to adsorp and remove arsenic in water. The study conducted empirical processes based on the processes in the experimental conditions affecting arsenic adsorption and removal by steel slag in contaminated water: concentration, steel slag size, steel slag weight, pollution concentration, temperature, symbiotic ions. The research results show: The lower initial solution concentration is, the more easily adsorption equilibrium can achieve, the higher initial concentration is, the longer it takes to reach adsorption equilibrium; the smaller steel slag particle is, the more easily adsorption equilibrium can reach; the larger particle size, the longer the time to reach adsorption equilibrium; the more increasing the number of steel slag particles, the greater the pollutant adsorption, the higher the removal efficiency; initial pH concentration affects As adsorption of steel slag (III); influence of temperature on As adsorption of steel slag (III) is not clear; different ions (NO3-, Cl‑, F-, SO42- and PO43-) intervene in As adsorption of steel slag (III) in solution. Thus, the choice of steel slag as the material to adsorb and remove arsenic in water is the optimal method, bringing economic efficiency, environmental protection and practical application.Bài báo trình bày kết quả nghiên cứu này là tận dụng nguồn chất thải rắn trong môi trường là xỉ thép đưa vào hấp phụ và loại bỏ arsen trong nước. An archetypal metal-organic framework, UiO-6,6, synthesized with the solvo-thermal method, has a large specific surface area of 1071 m2·g–1. This material was modified with NiCl2 in the direct (Nix(tt)/UiO-66) and indirect (Nix(gt)/UiO-66) methods. The two modified materials were characterized by using powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and infrared spectroscopy. Their crystalline and chemical structure is not much different. However, the thermal and porous properties differ from each other.UiO-66 là họ vật liệu khung hữu cơ kim loại tổng hợp bằng phương pháp nhiệt dung môi có diện tích bề mặt riêng lớn (1071 m2·g–1). Vật liệu UiO-66 này được biến tính bằng NiCl2 theo phương pháp trực tiếp (Nix(tt)/UiO-66) và gián tiếp (Niy(gt)/UiO-66). Kết quả đặc trưng hai vật liệu biến tính này bằng nhiễu xạ tia X, hiển vi điện tử quét và phổ hồng ngoại khác nhau không đáng kể. Tuy nhiên, phân tích nhiệt trọng lượng và đẳng nhiệt hấp phụ – khử hấp phụ N2 cho thấy có sự khác nhau giữa các phương pháp tổng hợp

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented damage to the educational system worldwide. Besides the measurable economic impacts in the short-term and long-term, there is intangible destruction within educational institutions. In particular, teachers – the most critical intellectual resources of any schools – have to face various types of financial, physical, and mental struggles due to COVID-19. To capture the current context of more than one million Vietnamese teachers during COVID-19, we distributed an e- survey to more than 2,500 randomly selected teachers from two major teacher communities on Facebook from 6th to 11th April 2020. From over 373 responses, we excluded the observations which violated our cross-check questions and retained 294 observations for further analysis. This dataset includes: (i) Demographics of participants; (ii) Teachers' perspectives regarding the operation of teaching activities during the pandemic; (iii) Teachers' received support from their schools, government bodies, other stakeholders such as teacher unions, and parents' associations; and (iv) teachers' evaluation of school readiness toward digital transformation. Further, the dataset was supplemented with an additional question on the teachers' primary source of professional development activities during the pandemic
