    Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Stenting in a Low Birth Weight Infant Born With Tetralogy of Fallot and Prostaglandin E1 Dependency

    Surgical skill and strategy for the correction of tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) have improved and resulted in satisfactory outcomes. However, prematurity and low birth weight continue to remain risk factors for poor outcomes. We present a case of a 2,150 g neonate born with TOF, in whom palliation was achieved with right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) stenting. Seventy-seven days after the procedure, stenosis of RVOT below the stent was identified. At that time his body weight was 4.9 kg and total corrective surgery was deemed feasible. Eight months following surgical repair, the patient remained well without medical intervention. RVOT stenting may be a viable interim procedure while waiting for a low birth weight neonate born with TOF and prostaglandin E1 dependency to reach optimal weight to undergo corrective surgery

    Di Indonesia terdapat berbagai macam industri yang bergerak di bidangnya. termasuk industri bahan kimia yang mengembangkan berbagai proses, baik pada produk maupun sistem yang digunakan agar memiliki mutu yang berkualitas, salah satu hal terpenting yang mempengaruhi kualitas produk adalah kadar pH. Maka dari itu penulis mengajukan judul “Implementasi Kontrol PI Pada Proses Netralisasi Cairan Di Industri Kimia” Dalam proyek akhir ini penulis membuat Rancang Bangun yang memungkinkan sistem bekerja menggunakan mikrokontroler. Cairan yang digunakan adalah asam asetat yang mengalir secara konstan dan caustic soda yang alirannya di kendalikan dengan kontroler yang memberikan sinyal elektrik berupa PWM ke modul h-bridge sehingga pompa 12V DC dapat bekerja 0 hingga 100% duty cycle. Pada proyek akhir ini, melakukan percobaan menggunakan kontrol P, PI, PD, dan PID dengan metode tuning Cohen Coon sehingga parameter yang didapat untuk kontrol P adalah P=0.33, parameter kontrol PI adalah P=0.12, dan I= 14.03. Parameter yang didapat untuk kontrol PD adalah P=0.12, dan D=19.51. Serta parameter yang didapat untuk kontrol PID adalah P=0.28, I= 52.36 dan D=5.76, performasi paling rendah overshoot-nya adalah kontrol PID sebesar 0.17 %, performasi paling rendah settling time dan error steady state-nya adalah kontrol PI sebesar 152 detik dan 0,024% ==================================================================================================== In Indonesia there are various kinds of industries engaged in their fields. including the chemical industry that develops various processes, both on products and systems used in order to have quality quality, one of the most important things that affect product quality is the pH level. Therefore, the author proposes the title " Implementation of PI Control in the Liquid Neutralization Process in the Chemical Industry" In this final project the author makes a Design that allows the system to work using a microcontroller. The liquid used is acetic acid which flows constantly and caustic soda whose flow is controlled by a 12V pump. In this final project, conducting experiments using P, PI, PD, and PID controls with the Cohen Coon tuning method. the parameters obtained for P control are P=0.33, PI control parameters are P=0.12, and I= 14.03. The parameters obtained for the PD control were P=0.12, and D=19.51.     RANCANG BANGUN PENGENDALI MASSRATE DALAM SISTEM CONVEYOR BERBASIS MIKROKONTROLER (BAGIAN I)

    Salah satu faktor yang menentukan kualitas industri adalah pengendalian aliran material (massrate) produksi yang didasari dengan beban dan juga kecepatan aliran material, fokus dalam tugas akhir ini adalah aliran material yang melewati conveyor. Selama ini pengendali massrate digunakan dalam industri besar dengan memakan biaya yang sangat besar, sehubungan dengan permasalahan tersebut diperlukan pengendali massrate yang dapat menekan biaya dan juga dapat digunakan di industri kecil maupun besar. Dalam tugas akhir ini penulis menyusun rancang bangun pengendali massrate berbasis mikrokontroler menggunakan sensor berat (Strain Gauge) untuk menimbang material yang dialirkan conveyor, dan sensor kecepatan (speed sensor) untuk mengetahui kecepatan motor pada conveyor. Dari input beban dan kecepatan yang diterima lalu dirumuskan menjadi rata-rata berat material yang melewati conveyor. Selain dapat menampilkan massrate alat ini juga dapat mengatur massrate dengan cara merubah kecepatan motor dengan otomatis sehingga massrate mendekati dengan setpoint. Dengan adanya alat ini mampu mendukung bidang perindustrian. Dengan rancangan mekanik yang menjadi suatu pengendali massrate pada conveyor yang lebih menekan biaya produksi dan mengahasilkan tingkat akurasi alat sebesar 94,07

    Percutaneous coronary intervention with everolimus-eluting stents (Xience V): Systematic review and direct-indirect comparison meta-analyses with paclitaxel-eluting stents (Taxus) and sirolimus-eluting stents (Cypher)

    First-generation drug-eluting stents (DES) have brought major improvements in results of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). However, there is currently debate on the safety of these first-generation DES, given the potential for late stent thrombosis, especially after discontinuation of dual antiplatelet therapy. Second-generation DES, such as zotarolimus- (Endeavor) and everolimus-eluting stents (Xience V), have recently become available in the USA and/or Europe. Indeed, the Xience V stent holds the promise of superior anti-restenotic efficacy as well as long-term safety, yet there is uncertainty on its risk-benefit balance. Authors conducted a systematic review of basic science and clinical evidence on the Xience V, by thoroughly searching PubMed and online databases (updated September 2007). They also compared the clinical results of Xience V vs paclitaxel-eluting stents (Taxus) and sirolimus-eluting stents (Cypher) by means of direct and indirect comparison meta-analysis. A total of three clinical studies has been retrieved focusing on Xience V, however both most recent and important trials were still unpublished. The first trial compared Xience V vs bare-metal stents, whereas the other two randomized trials compared Xience V vs Taxus. Direct meta-analysis of Xience V vs Taxus showed that Xience V was significantly superior to Taxus in preventing binary angiographic restenosis and target lesion revascularization (P<0.05 for both). Indirect comparison between Xience V and Cypher, exploiting a recent 16-trial large meta-analysis, showed that Xience V was at least as effective as Cypher in preventing target lesion revascularization (P=0.12). Everolimus-eluting stents (Xience V) appear as a major breakthrough in coronary interventions, and superior efficacy has already been demonstrated in comparison to paclitaxel-eluting stents (Taxus). Data available to date also suggest that Xience V is at least as effective as sirolimus-eluting stents (Cypher). Whether long-term results and direct comparison to Cypher will also be favorable remains to be established by future clinical trials
