As far as construction sector is concerned, the construction industry is the most important for the Indian economy and it is growing at rapid pace. Hence it is necessary to give proper attention not only toward the economy but also towards environmental aspects of rapid construction which are ignored in many cases, leading to uncomfortable habitat and increased maintenance and energy requirement causing threat to environment. Hence it is necessary to find the solution to overcome environmental problem caused by rapid construction which is affordable and acceptable by the people. To overcome such environmental problem caused by rapid construction concept of sustainable development come in flash. Low Carbon Building is one of technique of sustainable development. Low Carbon Buildings is nothing but it is one of technique of ―Green Building‖ in which attempt is made to reduce emission of carbon by using low carbon emission material and low carbon emission techniques for construction. This type of construction of buildings is must for environmental aspects in future. So it is required to adopt proper methods of construction and latest technology which will help to achieve economy, quality, safety and better output. In short the numbers of key elements are responsible for the success of this type of environmental friendly construction; so it is required to study the various aspects of these low carbon content buildings like materials used, various techniques used for construction, economy etc

Background: Substance abuse is a common health problem which affects individual and takes a toll on not only person consuming it rather all members of society related to that person. Aim & Objective: The purpose of study was to determine the prevalence of substance use among females & to know the reasons for same and association of socio-demographic profile and substance use. Settings and Design: Cross-sectional study was conducted among females attending OPD at rural health training centre of a medical college for 6months duration. Total 500 females were interviewed for same by convenience sampling. Methods and Material: After taking informed consent from participants all the information was collected on predesigned and pretested oral questionnaire. Statistical analysis used: Qualitative Data was presented in the form of numbers and percentages. Test of significance such as chi-square was applied. Statistical analysis was done using MedCalc version 19.1 and Epi-info7. Results: Prevalence of substance use was found very high as 74%. Most common form of substance use was tobacco chewing at 77.03%. Abuse was maximum among females educated up to primary level (82.3%). Near about 72.7% were using substance out of curiosity. 84.32% were interested in quitting abuse. Conclusions: Substance use prevalence was very high affecting health of females adversely

Lost foam casting (LFC) as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly casting process.Theenergy conservation and emission reduction in foundry industry should take casting quality and technology improvements as core mission. Lost foam casting is a casting method with the use of patterns, which are not removed from the mouldbut remain in it and are gasified under the action of the heat energy of a metal being poured into the mould. It has become one of the most important casting processesfor ferrous and nonferrous metals, particularly for the automotive industry. LFC is regarded as the representative of the 21st century casting new technology

916-920A series of substituted chromones and pyrazole derivatives have been synthesized from esterification of acid 1 with 2-hydroxy acetophenones 2 to give compounds 3 which is in turn converted in to β-diketones 4 in presence of excess of KOH by Baker-Venkatraman transformation. Acid catalysed cyclisation of β-diketones 4 yield a series of 2-substituted chromones 5. 2-Substituted chromones 5 have been used to synthesise substituted pyrazole derivatives 6. All the synthesised compounds have been characterised by spectral and analytical data. Chromones and pyrazoles have been evaluated for their antibacterial and antifungal activities

101-107Various developments that have taken place in the ecofriendly dyeing of sulphur and vat dyes have been briefly discussed. A good degree of progress in this direction has been made by the successful use of products like hydrol in sulphur dyeing and zinc sulphoxylate formaldehyde in vat dyeing. However, the efforts to improve the dyeing technology of sulphur and vat dyes on cotton are still required
