Direct Photons at RHIC
The PHENIX experiment has measured direct photons in
GeV Au+Au collisions and p+p collisions. The fraction of photons due to direct
production in Au+Au collisions is shown as a function of and centrality.
This measurement is compared with expectation from pQCD calculations. Other
possible sources of direct photons are discussed.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures, presented at Hot Quarks 2004, Taos, N
Sudakov Resummation Effects in Prompt-Photon Hadroproduction
We compute the effects of soft-gluon resummation, at the
next-to-leading-logarithmic level, in the fixed-target hadroproduction cross
section for prompt photons. We find in general that the corrections to the
fixed next-to-leading-order results are large for large renormalization scales,
and small for small scales. This leads to a significant reduction of the scale
dependence of the results for most experimental configurations of interest. We
compare our results to the recent measurements by the E706 and UA6
collaborations.Comment: 30 pages, Latex, epsfig, amssymb, 17 figures. Submitted to JHE
Standard Model Higgs boson production in association with a top anti-top pair at NLO with parton showering
We present predictions for the production cross section of a Standard Model
Higgs boson in association with a top-antitop pair at next-to-leading order
accuracy using matrix elements obtained from the HELAC-Oneloop package. The NLO
prediction was interfaced to the PYTHIA and HERWIG shower Monte Carlo programs
with the help of POWHEG-Box, allowing for decays of massive particles,
showering and hadronization, thus leading to final results at the hadron level.Comment: 14 pages, 9 figure
PGB pair production at LHC and ILC as a probe of the topcolor-assisted technicolor models
The topcolor-assisted technicolor (TC2) model predicts some light pseudo
goldstone bosons (PGBs), which may be accessible at the LHC or ILC. In this
work we study the pair productions of the charged or neutral PGBs at the LHC
and ILC. For the productions at the LHC we consider the processes proceeding
through gluon-gluon fusion and quark-antiquark annihilation, while for the
productions at the ILC we consider both the electron-positron collision and the
photon-photon collision. We find that in a large part of parameter space the
production cross sections at both colliders can be quite large compared with
the low standard model backgrounds. Therefore, in future experiments these
productions may be detectable and allow for probing TC2 model.Comment: 26 pages, 16 figures. slight changes in the text; notations for

Les Houches 2015: Physics at TeV Colliders Standard Model Working Group Report
This Report summarizes the proceedings of the 2015 Les Houches workshop on
Physics at TeV Colliders. Session 1 dealt with (I) new developments relevant
for high precision Standard Model calculations, (II) the new PDF4LHC parton
distributions, (III) issues in the theoretical description of the production of
Standard Model Higgs bosons and how to relate experimental measurements, (IV) a
host of phenomenological studies essential for comparing LHC data from Run I
with theoretical predictions and projections for future measurements in Run II,
and (V) new developments in Monte Carlo event generators.Comment: Proceedings of the Standard Model Working Group of the 2015 Les

Les Houches 2013: Physics at TeV Colliders: Standard Model Working Group Report
This Report summarizes the proceedings of the 2013 Les Houches workshop on
Physics at TeV Colliders. Session 1 dealt primarily with (1) the techniques for
calculating standard model multi-leg NLO and NNLO QCD and NLO EW cross sections
and (2) the comparison of those cross sections with LHC data from Run 1, and
projections for future measurements in Run 2.Comment: Proceedings of the Standard Model Working Group of the 2013 Les
