New double column system for heteroazeotropic batch distillation
A new double column system (DCS) operated in closed mode is suggested for heterogeneous batch distillation. This configuration is investigated by feasibility studies based on the assumption of maximal separation and is compared with the traditional batch rectifier (BR). We study the configurations also by dynamic simulation based on a detailed model using a professional simulator. For the new configuration the minimal duration of the process is determined. The influence of the most important operational parameters is studied. The calculations and the simulations are performed for a binary (n-butanol–water) and for a ternary heteroazeotropic mixture (isopropanol–water + benzene as entrainer). One of the advantages of the DCS is that distillation of binary and ternary systems is performed in only one step. Furthermore the recovery of components is usually higher and the amount of byproducts is lower

heteroazeotropic distillation configuration we investigated this configuration also by rigorous simulation using
the dynamic simulator of CHEMCAD (program CC-DCOLUMN). The column sections were modelled by the
module DYNAMIC COLUMN, the reboilers and decanter by the DYNAMIC VESSEL, respectively (Fig. 1).
The following simplifying assumptions were applied:
- theoretical trays,
- constant volumetric liquid holdup on the trays,
- negligible vapour holdup,
- negligible duration of pumping of the distillate from the product tank to the reboiler between the two
steps (BR).
We compared the performance of the new configuration with that of the conventional batch rectifier (BR). The
total number of trays and and the total heat duty of the two columns of the new configuration was taken equal to
those of the BR. For the new configuration we determined the minimal operational time (in the case where both
products reach the purity prescribed at the same time). We varied the division of the total number of trays, total
amount of feed, total heat duty, as well as the amount of the entrainer (in the case of the ternary mixture).
The simulations were performed for a binary (n-butanol - water) and for a ternary heteroazeotropic mixture
(isopropyl-alcohol – water + benzene). By the binary mixture we investigated the cases when the mixture
contains one of the components in such amount that the mixture is homogeneous and also the heterogeneous
case. In Fig. 2 the evolution of liquid compositions in the reboilers is shown for both configurations for the
ternary mixture.
The new configuration – in accordance with the results of feasibility studies – proved competitive with the
BR: it gave slightly better results for the ternary mixture and similar results for the binary mixture, respectively
Batch heteroazeotropic distillation in a new Generalised Double-Column System
We study the separation of the minimum homoazeotrope isopropanol - water by applying cyclohexane and n-hexane as entrainer in a new Generalised Double-Column batch heteroazeotropic distillation System (GDCS). First its feasibility is studied by a simplified method then we do sensitivity analysis by rigorous simulation. The minimum duration is determined for the GDCS and for the original DCS, and their performances are compared. Due to its higher number of degrees of freedom the GDCS provides a more flexible operation than the DCS. In each case we obtained shorter process durations and lower energy demands by the GDCS than by the DCS
Két nemi szerep kérdőív magyar nyelvű adaptálása : a Multikulturális Maszkulinitás Ideológia Skála és a Femininitás Ideológia Skála
Gender roles that men and women perform are largely dependent on a given society’s social system as well as the expectations of its members. There are several questionnaires available in the literature that measure individuals’ endorsement of the roles generally expected of their sex and how their behavior enacts ideologies of gender. However, their validity is limited to a narrow geographical and temporal scope. Therefore, our aim was to develop gender role questionnaires that can be used in current Hungarian research by adapting two existing measurement tools to a Hungarian sample. Using online data, we developed the Hungarian versions of the Multicultural Masculinity Ideology Scale and the Femininity Ideology Scale using principal component analyses. Both questionnaires consist of several subscales with adequate reliability coefficients. The combined use of the two measurements provides a reliable way of measuring the relationship between masculinity and femininity ideology

Hazai fafajok fotoszintézisválaszai és fotoprotektív mechanizmusai stresszkörülmények közt = Photosynthetic responses and photoprotective mechanisms of tree species under stress conditions
Erdőalkotó fafajainkon laboratóriumi és szabadföldi körülmények közt azt vizsgáltuk, hogyan változtatja meg a stressz minősége, erőssége, illetve a növény fejlettségi állapota a fotoszintézissel kapcsolatos stresszvédő mechanizmusokat. A kis dózisú nehézfémstressz a citokinin szint növelésével stimulálta a fotoszintézist. A közepes nehézfém (Cd) dózis hatásait kiváltó legfontosabb tényezők a Fe hiány (a tünetek a vastáplálás emelésével megszüntethetők) és a fotoszintézisgátlás okozta relatív fényfelesleg. A fényfelesleg miatt megjelenő oxidatív stressz a kezelés folyamán mérséklődött. A kifejlett levelekben a CO2-megkötés sztómazáródás miatti gátlását elsősorban a fotorespiráció erősödése védte ki, míg a fejlődő levelekben fotokémiai (víz-víz ciklus) és nem-fotokémiai kioltó folyamatok, amihez a violaxantin ciklus aktivitás és az antenna (Lhc) összetétel transzkripciós szinten szabályozott változásai is hozzájárulhattak, egyaránt szerepet játszottak. Termőhelyi/szabadföldi körülmények közt a tölgy és bükk a levélnövekedés kezdeti időszakában volt a legérzékenyebb a fotoinhibícióra. A megemelt UV-B sugárzás fokozta a fotoinhibiciós érzékenységet. A védelemben a nem-fotokémiai disszipáló mechanizmusok voltak a legfontosabbak, szoros összefüggésben a xantofill-, illetve a tölgyfajoknál újonnan kimutatott lutein-epoxid ciklus működésével. Emellett, a Cd stesszt is beleértve, fontos szerepe volt a különleges fényvédő vegyületek (flavonoidok és még nem azonosított vegyületek) felhalmozódásának. | In laboratory and field experiments, effects of stresses (heavy metals, UV-B) of different strength were studied on photosynthesis and related protective mechanisms in leaves of forest-tree species being in different developmental stage. Photosynthesis was stimulated by low-dose heavy metal treatments due to the elevated level of cytokinins in leaves. The most important impacts of moderate heavy metal (Cd) doses on photosynthesis were the Cd-induced iron deficiency (symptoms could be eliminated by increased Fe supply) and the relative light excess due to the inhibition of photosynthesis. Light excess induced oxidative stress was diminished during the treatment. Inhibition of CO2 fixation due to Cd-induced decrease in stomatal conductance was counterbalanced by the increased activity of photorespiration in leaves treated in photosynthetically competent stage, while both photochemical (water-water cycle) and non-photochemical mechanisms, which included violaxanthin cycle activity and changes in the antenna composition regulated at transcriptional level, contributed to the protection of newly emerging leaves. In field experiments, oak and beech species showed the highest sensitivity to photoinhibition at the beginning of leaf development, and the sensitivity was enhanced under elevated UV-B. Non-photochemical quenching connected with the activities of xanthophyll cycle and the newly discovered lutein-epoxid cycle was the protective mechanisms of utmost importance. Accumulation of light-protective substances such as flavonoids and yet unidentified ones (Cd stress) was also important
