A Modified X-Torus Topology for Interconnection Network

    Get PDF
The interconnection network is the key components for the communication. The X-Torus topology has been designed in the past. It has been found in the previous design, that the router is not being utilized to their maximum and still there is the scope for adding more links in the topology. In this paper, a new topology has been introduced, based on X-Torus topology by adding extra links with a limited degree of the 6. The performance of the topology has been analyzed using the five traffic patterns that are random, neighbor, bit complements, and hot spot traffic over the factors end to end delay, sink bandwidth and average hop count. An improvement of 62% in terms of latency and 15% in terms of throughput has been observed in the proposed topology. This modified X-Torus topology proves to be a better substitute for X-Torus topology

The milky white latex of plant Calotropis procera produces inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes on accidental exposure. It produces edema on local administration due to the release of histamine and prostaglandins and is associated with hyperalgesia. In the present study we have evaluated the antiedematous and analgesic activity of antiinflammatory drugs against inflammatory response induced by dried latex (DL) of C procera in rat paw edema model. An aqueous extract of DL of C procera was injected into the subplantar surface of the rat paw and the paw volume was measured by a plethysmometer at 0, 1, 2, 6, 12, and 24 hours. Concomitantly the hyperalgesic response was also evaluated by motility test, stair climbing ability test, dorsal flexion pain test, compression test, and observing the grooming behavior. The inhibitory effect of diclofenac and rofecoxib on edema formation and hyperalgesic response was compared with cyproheptadine (CPH). DL-induced edema formation was maximum at 2 hours that was associated with decreased pain threshold, functional impairment, and grooming. Treatment with antiinflammatory drugs and CPH significantly attenuated the edematous response and grooming, increased the pain threshold, and improved functional parameters. Both antiinflammatory and antiserotonergic drugs significantly inhibited the hyperalgesia associated with DL-induced paw edema. Rofecoxib was found to be superior than diclofenac and was as effective as CPH in ameliorating the hyperalgesia. However, it was found to be less effective than CPH in attenuating edema formation

The paper presents the performance analysis of routing techniques on 3x3 mesh NOC topology. The effect of load variation in delay and total network energy for different types of routing is observed. The simulation is performed on the NOXIM network on chip simulator under random traffic conditions. The research involves developing of the classification model based on support vector machine for the performance analysis of both deterministic and adaptive routing schemes. The quality parameters provided as input to the model against the performance of routing algorithms based on Network-onChip platform are minimum delay, minimum energy and maximum throughput

In this contribution, a compact 13 GHz notched band Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna is accessible for Ultra-Wide Band/broadband communication in metric linear unit wave band. The antenna structure has been designed on one substrate of FR-4 of thickness 1.6 mm.Two symmetrical microstrip patch antenna elements positioned in vertical direction to realised better diversity performance. The antenna elements are made up of a rectangular patch with microstrip feed line, operatingon the frequency of 28 GHz for Ultra-wide band applications. The result of designed structure has been computed numerical by FEM based solver HFSS v 13. Fromthe simulation results, it is clear that the proposed MIMO antenna structure covers 24.048 GHz to 37.04 GHzwith impedance bandwidth of 13 GHz (S11 better than -10dB) and also the isolation is found better than -20 dB in full wideband application. The gain of proposed MIMO antennadesigned structure has found approximately 2.11 dB

Muzzafarnagar Medical College (MMC), Muzzafarnagar was declared a designated covid hospital by the Uttar Pradesh State Government. A Covid Control Room (CCR) was hence established to manage the disaster.  Aims & Objectives: The CCR worked as the operational brain of MMC. Study Setting: Muzzafarnagar Medical College, Muzzafarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. Study Design: A hospital record based observational study. Material Methods: A total of 1132 admitted covid positive patients in three months constituted the study population. The CCTV cameras were installed inside the isolation wards, and the ICUs with 24/7 video coverage. The DGME (Uttar Pradesh) developed the Patient Information System (PIS) wherein information was uploaded in a database   and WhatsApp messages were sent to the relatives twice daily. Results: The CCR received on an average 200 calls per day. A total of 12,622 calls were received in two months. With, PIS in function the no. of calls received in CCR reduced drastically. 100% coverage of the patients’ information was achieved. Conclusion: The scope of the control room has expanded considerably to address various aspects of the covid-19 pandemic crisis. These findings will be helpful as a reference for future. It is one of the first studies and unique in nature

Objective: This study was designed and conducted to establish the relationship of biomarker CA 15-3 levels with tumor load in cases of carcinoma breast. Methods: Fifty female patients with confirmed diagnosis of breast malignancy were included in the study. CA 15-3 levels were measured before surgery and after surgery. Results: It was found that levels of the biomarker were increased in all the cases; the rise was higher in advance cases of carcinoma. Levels decreased after the surgery and this decrease was statistically significant. Conclusions: It was concluded that levels of CA 15-3 increase in cases of carcinoma breast; higher levels indicate advanced stage and that decrease in levels indicate effective treatment

Impact of Climate Change on Northeast Monsoon System of India - Role of Siberian Teleconnection

    Get PDF
The Northeast monsoon (NEM) precipitation has undergone a significant change in pattern over the last half century. The changing pattern of climatic variables over the moisture source (i.e. west Pacific High) and the heat sink (Siberian High) of the winter monsoon dynamics over time has caused a shift in the pattern of NEM precipitation over the southern peninsular region of India. There is no significant trend in NEM precipitation in the Indian region whereas the surface temperature has a significantly increasing trend over India during the NEM season. There is no significant trend in outgoing long wave radiation (OLR) of Siberian High (SH) while the west Pacific High (WPH) has a significantly increasing trend in OLR. Surface pressure of both the SH & WPH has no significant trend for the last 59 years (1948-2006). Surface temperature over SH & WPH has a significantly increasing trend for the last 59 years (1948-2006).There is a high correlation of NEM precipitation with El Nino & Southern Oscillation (ENSO), Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD) and OLR of WPH during the period 1970-2000. It signifies that convectional activity in the moisture source region of the NEM, warm SST in the western Indian Ocean and the ENSO have a deep bearing on the NEM precipitation during the three decades 1970-2000. The correlation of NEM precipitation with ENSO, IOD during the last period 2000-2006 has undergone changes where the NEM precipitation has shown a shift that is negatively correlated with ENSO & IOD. The change is much more in IOD than ENSO which signifies that the conventional trend of bearing of warm or cold SST of West Indian ocean on NEM precipitation has decreased during this period of 2000-2006. The correlation of NEM precipitation with the convectional activity of the moisture sink region of the NEM has been gradually decreasing since the 1970s and the moisture source of NEM has a significantly decreasing convectional activity trend. The correlation of NEM precipitation with all three variables (OLR, surface pressure & surface temperature) has shown a comparatively higher value for the heat sink regions (Siberian High) than for the moisture source region (West Pacific High) during the period 2000-2006. Thus the NEM precipitation over India has faced a deep bearing by the role of Siberian High interference
