The possibility of Z(4430) resonance structure description in πψ′\pi\psi' reaction

The possible description of Z(4430) as a pseudoresonance structure in πψ′\pi \psi' reaction, is considered. The analysis is performed with single-scattering contribution to πψ′\pi \psi' elastic scattering via D∗D1(2420)D^*D_1(2420) intermediate energy.Comment: 3 pages, 4 figure

    The non-perturbative corrections to the Bˉ→Xsγ\bar B \to X_s\gamma photon spectrum in a parton-like model

We derive a new parton-like formula, which establishes a simple connection between the electroweak decay rate Γ(Bˉ→Xsγ\Gamma (\bar B \to X_s\gamma) and the rate of a free b-quark decay. The main features of our approach are the treatment of the b-quark as an on-mass-shell particle and the inclusion of the effects arising from the b-quark transverse motion in the Bˉ\bar B-meson. Using various b-quark light-front (LF) distribution functions, both phenomenological one and the ones derived from current constituent quark models, and neglecting perturbative corrections we compute the photon energy spectra and the moments of the shape function. It is shown that the parton-like approach is fully consistent with the Heavy Quark Effective Theory (HQET) provided the b-quark constituent mass is redefined in the way similar to that used in HQET to define the pole mass of the b quark. In this way the correction to first order in 1/mb1/m_b can be eliminated from the total width in agreement with the general statement of HQET. We have also found that the photon energy spectra calculated in the LF approach agree well with the ones obtained in the ACM model, provided the same distribution function is used as input in both cases. In spite of the simplicity of the model our results show a fair good agreement both with the HQET predictions and available experimental data.Comment: 14 pages, LaTeX, 3 ps figure

Search for the gamma-ray fluxes with energies above 10915) eV from various objects

Considerable interest has developed in the search for local sources of superhigh-energy gamma-rays. The experimental data obtained with the extensive air showers (EAS) array of the Moscow State University are analyzed with a view to searching for the superhigh-energy gamma-rays from various objects and regions of the Galaxy

Studying microstructure of heat resistant steel deoxidized by barium ferrosilicon

    Get PDF
The paper examined the nature and distribution of non-metallic inclusions in the heat-resistant steel 12H1MF (0,12 % С, 1 % Сr, 0,5 - 0,6 Mo, 0,5 % V), ferrosilicobarim. As a reference, used by steel, deoxidized silicon. Melting was carried out in a laboratory, research-metallic inclusions, their shape and distribution, pollution index were studied according to conventional methods. Studies have shown that ferrosilicobarim deoxidation in an amount of 0,1 - 0,2 %, reduce the overall pollution index of non-metallic inclusions and change the nature of their distribution

Using high-chromium iron as material for production of the equipping components of mine shafts

    Get PDF
This paper deals with service conditions of shaft equipment, in particular, inserts of sliding bearings for the purpose of increasing service life due to material substitution and wear resistance increase. As a new material high-chromium irons are offered. Studies are conducted on a microstructure and wear resistance of prototypes is measured. Experimental data are treated by methods of mathematical statistics which confirm reliability of results. The results obtained make it possible to suggest using high-chromium irons as the direct material to produce inserts of sliding bearings
