The relation of directional distribution of bird population in winter on the airfield of the airport "Tomsk" with the presence of bird feeders on the territory of the adjoining residential complex were found out. It is shown that the concentration of feeding places of birds emerging near the feeders in the residential complex are kept mostly here as well as contribute birds redistribution from the territory of the airfield on its periphery thus contributing to reduce ornithological stress near the air strip. This distribution is characteristic not for all species but only for those who can use man-made elements of the environment to live in winter. Reporting to minimum of variety of birds at the airport these kinds are the majority. The formation of stable feeding clusters in the residential compound become by means of the high environmental culture of its inhabitants who help birds, providing them food in the unfavorable period of the year

Anthropogenic objects which load the urban environment negatively affects the human psyche. The alternative is attracting elements of the natural environment into urban environment, of which some of the most frequently identified are birds. Attracting birds in the city is possible by means of feeders and artificial nests, however, both must be harmonious. The aim of this study is to analyze the essential functions of the feeders, and their integration into the environmental design and development of the city. On this basis an original feeder which is convenient for use by birds and attracts people's attention is developed. In this paper we apply comparative analysis of different types of feeders encountered in Tomsk, bird watching, and evaluate usability of different types of feeders from the position of their convenience both for birds and human beings. Historical-cultural analysis for determining features of the architectural and environmental design of Tomsk is carried out, the method allows us to solve engineering problems. In this study the feeder convenient for bird use is designed which blends harmoniously with the architectural design of Tomsk

In this research the design in hardening of aesthetically valuable objects against vandalism is analyzed. There are two distinguished forms of vandalism: meaningless and meaningful ones. The purpose of this research is to develop design methods that enhance protection of aesthetically valuable objects against vandals. The harmonious development of the society is the main goal of culture. Actions that prevent movement to the harmonious development of society are treated as vandalism in this study, in a broad sense of the word. Meaningful vandalism is aimed at the destruction or desecration of objects with aesthetic or cultural value. The counteraction against the meaningful vandalism cannot be realized through the design. The research of vandalism motivation shows that meaningless vandalism does not have a pronounced goal. The main characteristic of meaningless vandalism is a destruction of the most at the lowest cost. It is shown in the study, how to resist the meaningless vandalism by using the objects of design. The relationship of design and mindless vandalism is not linear. Inharmonious design can provoke this type of vandalism. It is important to avoid stress and attention concentrators, when designing aesthetically valuable objects. Aimless (mindless) production is a kind of meaningless vandalism. Trash is the lower border of mindless vandalism and the upper border is meaningful vandalism. Violation of physical and spiritual ecology is the main source of mindless vandalism

Modern man is cut off from the natural conditions. He is experiencing emotional hunger associated with a limited number of visual impressions. In the light of this videoecology's requirements are relevant, and they calling attention of designers, philosophers and psychologists to the formation and creation of visually comfortable environment. Relevance of the work is due to the need of theoretical and practical studies of design objects’ perception features that providing maximal emotional comfort. Purpose of the work is to study features of creating objects that form a positive emotional response. In this paper we applied the methods of cultural and historical analysis, comparative methods and methods of semiotic systems’ analysis and modelling. Due to the fact that the greatest emotional comfort provided by high aesthetic level of design objects in the work are discussed features of art design, aimed at the creation of objects in which artistic and aesthetic principles dominates over utilitarian and pragmatic principles. During research of object's shape perception in the design was revealed the mechanism of emotional response formation. It was associated with semantic capacity of design object and specificity of its visual organization. The ability to create emotional space is determined by quality of shape which generating particular psychological reaction in form of emotions. On the base of visual perception researches was proposed model of visual images’ perception, which comprises the steps of recognizing, comparing, and dialogue. The result of this study is scientifically based recommendations, which takes into account specifics of visual perception and aimed at the achievement of emotional comfort by means of design

Topicality of the work is conditioned by the necessity to research meanings’ translation mechanisms of different cultures in the modern design's forms and images, and the need to create harmonious and data-intensive visual objects that are in demand in various spheres of modern life (advertising, Internet, design, etc.). The purpose of the work is to study translation's peculiarities of ethnic cultures’ meanings and their connection with the specifics of shaping. In the research was used methods of analysis and semiotic systems’ simulation, methods of historical-cultural analysis, methods of comparative linguistics and system analysis. In modern culture there is a mixture of styles, space and birth date of which determines ideographic identity of different ethnic groups. Ethno-design was born in the Age of Modernism and manifested primarily in following the tradition of shaping, which is based on specific ethnographic material. By studying the artefacts ‘organization features, the designer seeks to identify the main (dominant) ideas that underlie them and which are the conductors in the world of ethno- cultures’ meanings. Thus, the relevance of ethno-design development besides the aesthetic and artistic value is due to unique ability to “include” into the world historical experiences and sensations caused by an appeal to ethnic images. Design working practices with ethnographic material suggests studying particular culture's characteristics such as visual patterns organization. In contrast to historical, archaeological, cultural and other studies, the designer seeks primarily to identify the formation features, which describe construction methods of ethno-cultural sample. The result of the research is the discovery of cultural meanings’ transmission mechanisms in the ethno-design objects, as well as their impact on formation peculiarities

The research data on the shaping principles in the self-developing natural systems are taken as a basis for creation of a computer-aided system of a specific surface type modeling being the natural system with a common classical, measured structure. The aim is to automate the process of obtaining surfaces and use them to create visual comfortable environments and aesthetic design objects. There have been identified the organization principles of self-developing natural structures on the basis of the mathematical functions. The options of integration between the mathematical representation of the system and its design realization by solid modeling are recommended and based thereon the versions of the design objects are designed. There set up the principles of the visual evaluation of the produced objects
