Digital Cadastral Surveying is the need of present and future generations. The invention of Computer has revamped the face of the world dynamically. Every day in our life is digitalised and with out computers the world could not perform efficiently. The Computers, Satellite images, Aerial digital images could be efficaciously used in the creation of new experimental methodologies for Cadastral Surveying. Land records are obtained by Cadastral Surveying, which in turn provides the cornerstone for Land Use Planning. Land Use planning is influenced by many factors directly and indirectly. Land encroachment is found to be one of the direct factors affecting Land Use Planning. The Land Encroachments are identified by digitisation and overlaying analysis using standard GIS software, GPS Equipments for obtaining Ground Control Points, with Satellite images and Aerial images combined with conventional land records available with the Government Authority. Disquisition of Land encroachment is undertaken in this paper, to find the encroachment and its types. The problems involved in the encroachments, their detrimental effects on country’s growth are considered while formation of methodology to the serve the purpose of its creation. Pros and Cons of the technology is known from the work and explained. This is a Research application requiring hybridization of technologies to obtain high quality spatial surveying products.

Pharmacological Evaluation of Indian Medicinal Plant Clitoria Ternatea (L) in Experimental Animal

Global resurgence of interest in herbal drugs in the recent past. Though herbal medicines are effective in the treatment of various ailments very often these drugs are unscientifically exploited or improperly used. Therefore, these herbal drugs deserve detailed studies in the light of modern medicine. In spite of synthetic drugs, herbal drugs have their place in therapy. Their effectiveness, low-cost and comparative freedom from serious toxic effects makes these medicines not only popular but also an acceptable mode of treating diseases even in modern times. The anti ulcer activity and laxative activity elucidated by Clitoria ternatea leaf extract could be mainly due to the modulation of defensive factors through an improvement of gastric cytoprotection and partly due to suppression of gastric juice. This may be anticipated inhibition of H2 receptor blockers and by stimulation of prostaglandin synthesis in the gastric mucosal membrane. In the traditional system of Indian medicine, plant formulation and combined extracts of plants are used as drug of choice rather than single drug. In this context, the present studies have been designed to scientifically validate the traditional claims of Clitoria ternateaand formulate a potent antiulcer and laxative herbal formulation

Comparison of normal and weather corrected performance ratio of photovoltaic solar plants in hot and cold climates

Performance Ratio (PR) is one of the best performance metrics used to assess solar power plant performance. PR is also used for commercial acceptance of an installed PV power plants. If the PR is tested in different climatic conditions or seasons, there are bias errors, affecting the contractual acceptance testing. PR is often corrected to the Standard Test Conditions (STC), resulting in higher PR since modules usually operate at higher temperatures. This research work utilizes NREL's advanced methodology to determine weather corrected PR of PV power plants in six different geographical locations and climatic regions. The Solar PV plant performance is simulated to get the normal PR as per IEC 61724-1:2017. Percentage variation of Weather corrected PR with Normal PR is determined for all these six geographical regions and compared. The weather corrected PR of Montana (with the lowest annual average temperature of 1.58 °C.) PV power plant has a maximum variation of 7.64% from the normal PR during the summer and −8.61% variation in December during the winter. The weather corrected PR of Kuzhalmannam (with the highest annual average temperature of 27.28 °C) PV power plant has a maximum variation of only 1.16% from the normal PR during summer and a variation of −0.91% in July during the rainy season. It is concluded that the metric of weather-corrected PR gains paramount importance for colder areas, whereas it has minimal influence for tropical regions
