Space-time organization of Y. Makyuen's novel "black Dogs"
Artistic time and space create a unique world of a book and remain one of the most relevant topics for study in literary criticism. The change of literary movements introduces some changes in the organization of works. Space and time, as structure developing categories are capable of transmitting not only the attitude of heroes, but also reflect the philosophical views of a writer. They reflect an ideological and a thematic content of the works. The article deals with the problem of spatial and temporal organization within the novel "Black Dogs" written by Ian McEwan (Ian McEwan), one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary British postmodernism. This novel is a demonstration of the writer's spacetime concept. The authors make a comprehensive analysis of the artistic space and time in the novel, highlight the most significant chronotopes and trace their function. The categories of space and time allow to define the features of the writer's creative method, which includes the features of postmodern and realism. The form of a memoir novel, allows to expand the boundaries of time and space in the work. The action is similar to a journey in time and space. Such space-time organization is the basis of the causes study for the writer that gave rise to the current state of the world

British and North-American literature about animalS: History and traditions
This research studies the functioning of animal images in literature from the middle of the XIXth to the early XXIst century. Literature about animals is an integral part of literary process in Great Britain and North America. Authors analyze different genre formsin search of common and different in diachronic approach. Authors create a certain timeline of development of literature about animals. The starting point is the golden age of British fairy tale, during this period numerous fairy tales about animals appeared. Then authors turn to the creativity of Jack London and Ernest Thompson Seton with their impressive animal images. The next stage of development of literature about animals is connected with the rise of non-fiction genres in the second half of the XXth century. Analyzing different genre forms authors of the research come to the conclusion that animals often become the center of narration and are characterized in the same way as human personalities. Through the animal images the authors show different conflicts, common for the literature of the XIXth-XXth century. Animal characters serve to attract reader's attention to different social and environmental problems

Problems in using ICT in professional education
ICT in professional education become important with the new requirements of state educational standards. Having numerous advantages these technologies help to solve innovative tasks in teaching and learning. However there are some obstacles reducing the effectiveness of ICTusing in education; they are – insufficient availability of technology, inadequate level of teachers’ and students’ IT competency, excessive unreasonable ICT applicationС введением ФГОС III использование ИКТ в профессиональном образовании становится еще более важным.
Stability of Triple Star Systems with Highly Inclined Orbits
It is well established that certain detached eclipsing binary stars exhibit
apsidal motions whose value is in disagreement with with calculated deviations
from Keplerian motion based on tidal effects and the general theory of
relativity. Although many theoretical senarios have been demonstrated to bring
calculations into line with observations, all have seemed unlikely for various
reasons. In particular, it has been established that the hypothesis of a third
star in an orbit almost perpendicular to the orbital plane of the close binary
system can explain the anomalous motion in at least some cases. The stability
of triple star systems with highly inclined orbits has been in doubt, however.
We have found conditions which allow the long term stability of such systems
so that the third body hypothesis now seems a likely resolution of the apsidal
motion problem. We apply our stability criteria to the cases of AS Cam and DI
Her and recommend observations at the new Keck interferometer which should be
able to directly observe the third bodies in these systems.Comment: edited to match published versio
Psychological Factors Shaping Public Responses to COVID-19 Digital Contact Tracing Technologies in Germany
The COVID-19 pandemic has seen one of the first large-scale uses of digital contact tracing to track a chain of infection and contain the spread of a virus. The new technology has posed challenges both for governments aiming at high and effective uptake and for citizens weighing its benefits (e.g., protecting others’ health) against the potential risks (e.g., loss of data privacy). Our cross-sectional survey with repeated measures across four samples in Germany ([Formula: see text] ) focused on psychological factors contributing to the public adoption of digital contact tracing. We found that public acceptance of privacy-encroaching measures (e.g., granting the government emergency access to people’s medical records or location tracking data) decreased over the course of the pandemic. Intentions to use contact tracing apps—hypothetical ones or the Corona-Warn-App launched in Germany in June 2020—were high. Users and non-users of the Corona-Warn-App differed in their assessment of its risks and benefits, in their knowledge of the underlying technology, and in their reasons to download or not to download the app. Trust in the app’s perceived security and belief in its effectiveness emerged as psychological factors playing a key role in its adoption. We incorporate our findings into a behavioral framework for digital contact tracing and provide policy recommendations
