Retrospective Analysis and Current State of Experimental Models of Blast-induced Trauma

Combat pathology, particularly mine-blast injury is the main cause of military casualties. In our country, as a factor of destabilization, are widely used terrorist attacks using explosive devices of different capacities. Blast injury over 60% is cause of military casualties during armed conflicts. It is known that the condition for the formation of air-shock wave is creating waves of pressure, which is distributed at supersonic speed as possible with pulsed gas explosion and expansion of compression ambient air. The brain, chest, abdomen, and bladder are the most sensitive parts of the human body to blast. But the pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of post-traumatic explosion-induced disorders, namely, neurodegenerative complications psychosomatic, cognitive impairment, currently not fully understood and are not clear enough for an adequate therapy. The purpose of the study was to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of experimental models of blast-induced injury and to improve method and compressed air-driven shock tube. Material and methods. We used the following methods: analysis and evaluation of experimental models of explosion-induced injury by scientific publications, monographs and invention obtained in stages patent information search in the library collection of the State institution “Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” (October 2019), a retrospective search of the literature database PubMed (February 2020). Results and discussion. A retrospective analysis of the number of literary sources on the experimental reproduction of explosive trauma has shown a high interest of a large circle of scientists in the last decade. A qualitative study of scientific publications has shown a wide range of physical characteristics of an experimental shock wave, methods and devices for simulating an explosive injury. The absence of a standardized model of explosive injury with characteristics as close as possible to real circumstances creates conditions for the implementation of our own proposals. Conclusion. This work presents a tested modified experimental model for reproducing an air shock wave under laboratory conditions, which makes it possible to study the features of the course of an explosive injury of various organs and organ systems at various periods after injury

Skin melanoma is a malignant tumor originating in the cells of the melanocytic system, which is characterized by an aggressive clinical course, significant metastatic potential and unfavorable prognosis. These features of the tumor stipulate the need to improve measures to optimize early diagnosis of tumors. The article presents cases of pigmented skin melanoma to demonstrate the variability of clinical manifestations of this tumor requiring dermatologist skills in the differential diagnostics of neoplasms.Меланома кожи - злокачественное новообразование, происходящее из клеток меланоцитарной системы, характеризуется агрессивным клиническим течением, значительным метастатическим потенциалом, неблагоприятным прогнозом. The work attempts a literary ‘portrait’ of the contemporary writer and scenarist A. Kozlova. The author charts the evolution of Kozlova’s work, from the early ‘ultra-shock’ stories and the novel Whazzup, Winner [Preved pobeditelyu] (2006), a transparent satire of the fat years of the 2000s, to Ryurik (2019), a novel structured as a multilevel psychological quest. In addition, the critic describes the writer’s language as sharp, full of irony and in sync with contemporary culture and the modern Russian language. The critic notes that Kozlova’s works are highly context-dependent: one book picks up where the previous one left off, and together they form a confession and a journal of personal growth and development. According to Zhuchkova, the writer’s biggest achievement is that Kozlova managed to rise above the constrictions of the 1990s’ ‘ultra-shock literature’ and harness the format of autopsychological prose, which in Russian literature originates in E. Material selection for prosthetics of defects of dentitions at patients with functional and inflammatory bowel diseases

Objective: To study clinical-morphological characteristics of parodontal diseases, markers of density of bone tissue and to define rational approaches to prosthetics of defects of dentitions in patients with colon diseases. Materials and methods: 55 patients with ulcerative colitis, even 80 with the syndrome of the irritable bowel syndrome with defects of dentitions, have been applied metallic, cement prostheses and having prostheses on the intraosseous of implants. Markers of bone metabolism in the blood serum and in the oral liquid, the proliferating activity of the epitheliocytes of periodontium have been evaluated according to the morphometric indices of the markers of the proliferation of ki-67, cyclein D1, the inhibitor of apoptosis of bcl-2 have been inspected. Results: Connection of intensity of periodontitis with the stage of colon disease has been stated. Metallic dental prostheses have been served as additional risk factors of development of parodontal diseases in patients with ulcerative colitis. Conclusion: The diagnostic value of the markers of proliferation has been determined in diagnostics of parodontal disease during the application of prostheses from different materials

COMPOSITION AND MICROSTRUCTURE INVESTIGATION FOR THE MODELING AND CLASSIFICATION OF DIETARY FIBER DERIVED FROM PLANTS

Investigation of the composition and microstructure of dietary fiber derived from plants showed that the stabilizers investigated differ with regard to size and shape of the particles and the density of particle distribution. The composition and microstructure of dietary fiber derived from plants have been studied using electron microscopy. Spectrometric profiles of chemical composition have been obtained, and the content of the predominant chemical elements in food microstructure stabilizers has been determined. Some similarity concerning the content of certain chemical elements and the ratio of the contents of different elements has been detected upon the analysis of food structure stabilizers of the same type (carboxymethylcellulose, gum, and sodium pyrophosphate). Mathematical processing of photomicrographs of structure stabilizer samples has been performed, and masks for the assessment of the content of microcavities in the particles of the structure stabilizers investigated have been created

The article shows the importance of safe functioning standards for insurance organizations. The methodology on calculation of standards is presented. An analysis of the implementation of safe functioning standards by insurance organizations operating in the Republic of Belarus has been carried out.
