Social group as a factor activating the city

Background: One of the social groups that influence the activation of the city to the greatest extent are young people, including students. Social spaces dedicated to this group are to embellish the city, have a positive effect on its image, but they are also to be useful. Methods: This paper has been written on the basis of the Author’s study devoted to finding an answer to the question how much a social group that uses a specific space influences the activation of this space. The examined social group were young people, students from two cities: Toronto and Cracow. The spaces used in the study are places separated from school and university buildings, intended for individual study for high school and university students. Results: The results of the study indicate that one of the important factors that according to young people studying in the cities improve the quality of the social space is the existence of legibly marked places intended for individual study, that is places where students can study and spend time after their classes and lectures. Such places animate and activate the space connected with them. Conclusion: The social group of young people who still attend schools and universities constitutes a very important factor of the activation of cities. Influence of recrystallization annealing on the properties and structure of low-carbon ferritic steel if

This paper shows results of researches of a structure and mechanical properties of metal sheets of IF steels subjected to recrystallization annealing. The annealing was held in the scope of the temperature of 600-900 degrees C over 25 min time. The impact of heat treatment on changes of properties and structure of the researches steel has been analysed. During annealing typical processes of rebuilding of the structure deformed as a result of cold deformation in the form of forming new recrystallized grains and their growth were observed. As the temperature of annealing increases the hardness of the material gradually decreases.Web of Science6341961195

Influence of the drece process of severe plastic deformation on the mechanical properties of the ultra-low carbon interstitial free steel

This research paper shows the influence of a repeated SPD (Severe Plastic Deformation) plastic forming with the DRECE technique (Dual Rolls Equal Channel Extrusion) on hardening of low carbon IF steel. The influence of number of passes through the device on change of mechanical properties, such as tensile strength TS and yield stress YS, of tested steel was tested. The developed method is based on equal channel extrusion with dual rolls and uses a repeated plastic forming to refinement of structure and improve mechanical properties of metal bands [1-2]. For the tested steel the increase of strength properties after the DRECE process was confirmed after the first pass in relation to the initial material. The biggest strain hardening is observed after the fourth pass.Web of Science6342100209

W niniejszym artykule zwrócono uwagę na cele i zadania opieki paliatywnej. Mimo, że w Polsce istnieje od ponad 30 lat, to jednak nadal jest błędnie rozumiana. Zrozumienie sytuacji pacjenta i jego rodziny pozwala na dobór odpowiedniej dla niego instytucji. Skupiono się szczególnie na chorych w terminalnej fazie choroby, w której pacjenci odczuwają nasilenie dolegliwości. Główną kwestią poruszaną w artykule jest przede wszystkim zespołowa kontrola i leczenie objawów.In this case described aims and tasks of the palliative care.
