Регіональний туризм у Польській республіці в міжвоєнний період: Волинське воєводство (Regional Tourism in the Polish Republic in the Interbellum: Wołyń Voivodeship)
(The origins and the evolution of tourism in Wołyń Voivodeship in the interbellum is researched in the dissertation. It is mentioned that state institutions as well as Polish tourist and regional natural history societies and organizations used different methods in order to promote tourism which was one of the means of colonization and integration of the Ukrainian lands into the Polish Republic. This was the main reason why tourism was paid a significant attention to.
It is proved that Wołyń Voivodeship had a well established tourist infrastructure. Based on the available tourist resources and facilities, tourism has been classified as culture-historical, religious, health-related, educational and sport one
Saturation effect for dependence of the electrical conductivity of planar oriented nematic liquid crystal 6CB on the concentration of Cu7PS6 nanoparticles
The influence of Cu7PS6 nanoparticles with the average size 117 nm on the dielectric properties of planar oriented nematic liquid crystal 6CB has been investigated within the frequency range 10(1) ...10(6) Hz and at the temperature 293 K. It has been shown that when changing the concentration of nanoparticles within the range 0 to 1 wt.%, the conductivity of the liquid crystal changes stronger than its dielectric permittivity. It has been shown that the electrical conductivity increases monotonously with increasing the concentration of nanoparticles. However, for this dependence a saturation effect is observed. The mechanism of this effect was proposed.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Heart rate variability characteristics in children with cardiac syncope
Summary. The imbalance of autonomic nervous system is one of the main pathophysiological mechanism of syncope. At the heart of their development of any genesis is to reduce systemic blood pressure, causing a decrease in total cerebral blood flow current and leads to loss of consciousness. It is proved that the sudden cessation of cerebral blood flow on 6–8 s causes loss of consciousness. The aim of the study – to learn the features of time and frequency domain parameters of heart rate variability in children with cardiac syncope. Materials and Methods. 19 patients with cardiac syncope and 41 healthy children aged 8–17 years were examined. The European Society of Cardiology Guidelines (2018) was used in the diagnosis of cardiac syncope. Time (SDANN, RMSSD, pNN50) and frequency domain (TP, VLF, LF, HF, LF/HF) parameters of heart rate variability were studied using a 3-Channel Digital ECG Holter Recorder SDM3 (Ukraine). Serum 25(OH)D level was determined by colorimetric enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using the Monobind test system (USA). Results. Heart rate variability parameters SDANN, RMSSD, pNN50 and LF/HF did not differ in patients of the main and control groups (p>0.05). However, there were high values of TP (12751.64±2060.01) ms2, (5482.44±396.87) ms2; p = 0.00005), VLF (6615.17±819.89) ms2; (3906.29±269.09) ms2; p = 0.003), LF (5194.583±797.16) ms2; (2379.22±172.60) ms2; p = 0.0015), and HF (4049.14±774.07) ms2; (2446.54±316.16) ms2; p = 0.028) in patients with cardiac syncope compared with healthy children. A direct correlation between the vitamin 25(OH)D level and pNN50 (r = 0.49; p = 0.04) was found which indicates the possible influence of vitamin D deficiency to the development of dysautonomia in children with syncope. The obtained results can be useful for using of heart rate variability analysis as independent criteria to monitoring of a patient with cardiac syncope and assessment of treatment effectiveness. Conclusions. The functional state of autonomic nervous system in children with cardiac syncope is characterized by a balanced autonomic influence on cardiac activity. At the same time stress of regulatory systems on the background of increased activity of sympathetic and parasympathetic links of regulation, and a high level of central mechanisms activity of heart rate regulation are observe

Crucial Role for Early Growth Response-1 in the Transcriptional Regulation of miR-20b in Breast Cancer
Transcriptional regulation of miRNAs that control the pathogenesis of breast cancer remains largely unknown. Here, we showed that ionizing radiation, a known breast carcinogen, triggered the differential expression of miR-20b in mammary tissues. We identified several GC-rich consensus binding motifs for the zinc finger transcription factor early growth response-1 (EGR1) in miR-20b promoter. miR-20b was upregulated by IR and its upregulation correlated with EGR1 expression in the breast cancer cell line HCC1806. Therefore, we used HCC1806 cells as a model system to explore the role of EGR1 in miR-20b transcription. siRNA knockdown of EGR1 attenuated miR-20b expression. Luciferase assays showed that whereas EGR1 stimulated luciferase activity driven by the wild-type miR-20b promoter, this induction was abolished in the mutant miR-20 promoter construct. We noted significant enrichment of EGR1 at miR-20b promoter in HCC1806 cells compared with normal human mammary epithelial cells. Suppression of miR-20b significantly inhibited HCC1806 cell proliferation and migration, and led to G 0/G 1 and S phase arrest. In vitro RNA-pull down assays indicated that miR-20b targets numerous tumor suppressors, including PTEN and BRCA1, which were downregulated in HCC1806. Conversely, suppression of miR-20b increased PTEN and BRCA1 levels. Moreover, immunohistochemical and FISH analyses showed that the miR-20b expression correlated significantly with EGR1 levels in breast cancer tissues. Our findings thus demonstrate for the first time that EGR1 is a key player in the transcriptional control of miR-20b, and miR-20b may in turn function as an oncogene by contributing to breast tumorigenesis via tumor suppressor targeting
Vitamin D deficiency in the development of pediatric syncope due to orthostatic hypotension
Summary. The existence of a contradictory understanding of the role of vitamin D deficiency in the genesis of orthostatic hypotension, which is based mainly on research in small groups of adults, substantiates the relevance of studying this problem among children. The aim of the study – to investigate the serum vitamin D level in children with syncope due to orthostatic hypotension (OH), as well as its relationship with the indicators of functional cardiovascular system state. Materials and Methods. 24 children with the diagnosis of syncope due to OH and 24 relatively healthy children aged 8–17 years were examined. As an indicator of vitamin D availability, the level of 25(OH)D in serum was determined by enzyme immunoassay method. The calculation of integral indicators of the functional cardiovascular system state was carried out according to the data of the physical examination using empirical formulas. Heart rate variability (HRV) was studied based on the results of Holter monitoring during a 24-hour period of normal functioning. Results. A significantly lower level of vitamin D was recorded in patients with syncope due to OH compared to healthy respondents (19.9±1.4), (30.9±1.2) ng/ml; p=0.000001). A decrease in systolic blood pressure in the supine position and during the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th minutes of active orthostasis was found on the background of a decrease in the serum concentration of vitamin D in the group of syncope due to OH (p0.05). Conclusions. Significantly lower serum 25(OH)D levels were recorded, and the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency was 54.2 % in the group of children with syncope due to OH. The results of this study confirm the close connection of vitamin D deficiency with a decrease in the cardiovascular system adaptive mechanisms. HRV indicators do not depend on the serum level of vitamin D in children with syncope due to O
Modern methods of researching autonomic functions in children with syncope: A literature review
The research of autonomic functions in children with non-cardiogenic syncope allows improving differential diagnosis and treatment tactics in children depending on the pathogenetic mechanisms of syncope development. The purpose of the research was to analyse modern scientific achievements in the field of autonomic functions in children with different types of syncope. The review used the full texts of English-language studies published between January 2018 and December 2022 and published in the PubMed Medline and Scopus databases. It has been established that the active orthostasis test, tilt test, circadian blood pressure rhythms and heart rate variability are the most commonly used functional autonomic tests in paediatric practice. They allow evaluating the spectrum of pathological cardiovascular reactions in a standing position; identifying types of orthostatic hypotension and causes of orthostatic intolerance; diagnosing orthostatic hypertension, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, presyncope or syncope; to differentiating between sympathetic and parasympathetic autonomic dysfunctions and psychogenic transient syncope and epilepsy; to recommend orthostatic training as a method of treatment of syncope with an orthostatic mechanism of development. Despite this, there is no consensus on the definition of autonomic disorders and the methodology for conducting functional autonomic tests in children of different ages, considering their gender, body mass index and time of assessment during the day. Thus, functional autonomic tests are additional methods of physical and instrumental examination of the patient that allow effective assessment of the autonomic nervous system and possible mechanisms of syncope development, differentiation of transient loss of consciousness, stratification of future risks and optimisation of treatment and preventive tactics of the child's management based on an individual patient-centred approac
Patophysiological basis of folate cycle disorders and vitamin D deficiency in the development of syncope in childhood
There are many reports about the role of vitamins B6, B9, B12, and D in the development of cardiovascular diseases. However, most of them relate mainly to the adult population and are limited relative to grades in children with syncope. Understanding the role of these vitamins in the pathogenesis of syncope will help expand the range of therapeutic and preventive care for children. The purpose of the study was to analyse current scientific achievements regarding the role of the folate cycle and vitamin D in the genesis of syncope in childhood. The PubMed Medline and Scopus databases were used and the following search terms were used: “syncope” and “vitamin B”; “syncope” and “homocysteine”; “syncope” and “vitamin D”. The paper summarises the role of vitamin B12 deficiency in delayed myelination and nerve conduction, increased serum norepinephrine levels, and possible pathogenetic mechanisms for the development of noncardiogenic syncope. Scientific facts of the effect of vitamins B1, B6, and B9 on the functioning of the cardiovascular and nervous systems in children are described. The prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in 60-73% of children with vasovagal syncope and its relationship with the symptoms of the disease was established. Probable pathogenetic mechanisms of vitamin D deficiency in the development of syncope, namely a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance, a violation of neuronal conduction of the baroreflective mechanism, and heart muscle dysfunction, are analysed. The findings will allow doctors and researchers to better approach the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of syncope in childhood and can serve as a basis for developing new strategies to manage the condition and improve medical practice
