Repositioning of Bulgaria on the European map as a tourist destination offering a competitive tourist product through health tourism (balneo-spa/medical spa, spa and wellness)
The role of health tourism has been growing exponentially in the last years. Health tourism is an emerging, global, complex and rapidly changing segment that needs to be managed with modern management tools in the present era. Health tourism comprises around 5% of general tourism in the EU-28 and contributes approximately 0.3% to the EU economy (8). Health tourism has a much higher domestic share than general tourism does. Increasing the share of health tourism may reduce tourism seasonality, improve sustainability and labor quality, and may help to reduce health costs through prevention measures and decreased pharmaceutical consumption (9). Health tourism is increasing its role as a significant contributor to the development not only of regional but also of national economy (6). Despite certain tendencies in preference for individual tourism, it is expected that health tourism and health tourism destination will continue to increase their influence and take bigger part in the tourism mix in the future. In the National strategy for sustainable development of the tourism on the territory of Bulgaria /2014-2030/ the Ministry of Tourism determines tourism as a leading, structuring national industry. Tourism is a stable factor contributing to the constant optimization of Bulgarian economy through a significant share in the GDP β 12-18%. Strategic aims of Bulgariaβs are: increasing the competitiveness of the destination Bulgaria on the international tourism market by increasing the quality of the tourist product, strong brand of the destination and product specialization and diversification. One of the main priorities of the Ministry of Tourism is increasing the share of the specialized types of tourism β balneo (medical spa), spa and wellness concretely, leading to an year-round and more intensive workload (4).Aim The authors are convinced that Bulgaria has all the necessary conditions and prerequisites to present itself more purposefully and on a larger scale as a year-round tourist destination, offering a quality tourist product, placing the main focus on health tourism (medical spa, spa and wellness), which is successfully combined with all major forms of tourism (sea, mountain, cultural, gourmet, golf/. The authors support the relevant idea of the Ministry of Tourism to adapt and upgrade the existing National Strategy for Sustainable Tourism Development in Bulgaria /with a horizon of 2040 - 2050/ by placing a strong focus on health tourism, especially relevant in the world pandemic of COVID-19, when the role of health tourism (prevention and prophylaxis) in Bulgaria is recognized by all competing European countries

A low vision person is an individual who has a vision of less than 6/18 and a field of vision less than 10 degrees even after treatment and correction. Low vision patients are subject to an interdisciplinary approach. Such an integrated care team can be defined as a group of medical professionals. It would include an ophthalmologist, who is a low vision specialist, optometrist and optician, pediatrician, social worker and psychologist.Aim: The aim of this article is to clarify the main role of the ophthalmologists, who are low vision specialists in the integrated approach of patients with low vision.Tasks: 1. To create a work algorithm for the low vision specialists; 2. To conduct a survey using a questionnaire and summarize the results; 3. To create an integrated approach model for patients with impaired vision.Materials: We have used literary sources, normative documents as well as the results of a conducted survey. Methods: The method used is a combination between quantitative and qualitative methods. Results: A total of 75% to 95% of the low vision patients can be visually rehabilitated with optical correction. In order to begin a visual rehabilitation, it is necessary to take into account the degree of reduction of vision and the visual reserves. All this justifies the need of introducing a work algorithm for the low vision specialist. This algorithm should emphasize on the types of ophthalmic rehabilitation aid as well as determine the required enhancement of the aid devices. Conclusion: One thing is certain if low vision individuals have opportunities for education as sighted persons, they would be able to develop their potential and be useful members of the society. This is the main goal of the interdisciplinary team when working with visually impaired patients. This is the model of an integrated approach a strong connection between individual professionals and a collaboration between institutions

The hospital and pre-hospital healthcare seeks mechanisms and ways for better integration and economization of the activities. In this process, integrated care (IC) is placed between medical and social care. They are provided to people with physical or mental disorders, elderly patients, and others who need help in performing daily activities. The specifics of the rehabilitative care (as part of the integrated care) in hospital, prehospital and home conditions, require the involvement of various medical and non-medical professionals. Their teamwork is aimed at solving the problem of the patient in its holistic integrity. The leading part of the physiotherapist in this team is a prerequisite for timely and adequately conducted rehabilitation, minimizing the risk of disability

Application of the principles of integrated care in department of endocrinology and metabolism diseases at the hospital St. Marina Varna
The article presents the principles of integrated care applied in the treatment of patients with diabetes in the Department of Endocrinology at the University Hospital "St. Marina" Varna. An important point in the treatment of diabetes is customer orientation. The increased life expectancy, the aging population and the cost of treatment of patients with diabetes, both globally and in Bulgaria, prompted the need for the development of integrated care. Integrated care focuses on ensuring continuous care for patients with diabetes by multidisciplinary teams
