Generalized Polarizabilities of the Nucleon in Chiral Effective Theories

Using the techniques of chiral effective field theories we evaluate the so called generalized polarizabilities of the nucleon, which characterize the structure dependent components in virtual Compton scattering (VCS) as probed in the electron scattering reaction e N \to e' N gamma. Results are given for both spin-dependent and spin-independent structure effects to O(p^3) in SU(2) Heavy Baryon Chiral Perturbation Theory and to O(epsilon^3) in the SU(2) Small Scale Expansion. Was sind Netzprodukte? Eigenschaften, Definition und Systematisierung von Netzprodukten

In diesem Beitrag wird eine Definition des Begriffes 'Netzprodukt' erarbeitet und damit der zunehmenden Bedeutung dieser Produktgattung in Theorie und Praxis Rechnung getragen. Die Herleitung der Definition wird auf drei Wegen beschritten: Erstens werden explizite Definitionen aufgefuehrt, zweitens wird der Begriff durch eine induktive Ableitung aus dem Wortstamm 'Netz' konkretisiert, und drittens werden die in der bisherigen Forschung benutzten impliziten Definitionen anhand der Eigenschaften von Netzprodukten erlaeutert. Daraus wird schliesslich eine eigenstaendige explizite Definition formuliert. Sie bildet die Basis fuer eine Systematisierung der verschiedenen Netzproduktarten und fuer die Unterscheidung zweier theoretischer Stroemungen in der Literatur ueber Netzprodukte. (HH)'With respect to the growing importance of this type of good, the present article develops a definition of the term 'network good'. The definition is derived in three ways: first explicit definitions as can be found in the literature are presented, second etymology helps to understand the term, and third implicit definitions are drawn out from the existing literature by looking at the specific properties that economic research has found so far. This is the basis for a new explicit definition. It is applied to find a systematization of network goods and to divide two theoretical frameworks in the literature.' 'This paper analyzes the German venture capital market on the assumption that an improvement of the financial structure of enterprises will have a positive effect on the labor market. Financing problems are often responsible for the failure of - especially young -technology enterprises, however, a decline in earnings decreases equity capitalization and so increases the business risk to established enterprises. The paper points to problems hindering efficient borrowing and investment of venture capital. Next to tax disadvantages there are several problems located on the supply and demand side of the market. For an access of small and medium-sized firms to the capital market the creation of a special market is suggested, which would make venture capital available to young enterprises at the growth stage. The paper concludes with an overview of the actual German venture capital market.' (autor's abstract)Im Zentrum der Analyse steht die Frage, wie ein Kapitalmarkt fuer Risikokapital in Deutschland beschaffen sein koennte, der auch zu Beschaeftigungsgewinnen fuehrt. Die Autoren gehen von der These aus, dass durch eine Verbesserung der Finanzstruktur von Unternehmen positive Effekte fuer den Arbeitsmarkt zu erwarten sind. Finanzierungsprobleme sind haeufig Ursache fuer das Scheitern insbesondere junger Technologieunternehmen, aber der Verfall der Renditen fuehrt auch bei etablierten Unternehmen zu einer verringerten Ausstattung mit Eigenkapital und damit zu einer Erhoehung des Unternehmensrisikos. Die Studie weist auf Probleme hin, welche bisher eine effiziente Aufnahme und Anlage von Risikokapital verhindern. Neben den steuerlichen Nachteilen besteht eine Reihe von Problemen, die sich auf der Angebots- wie auf der Nachfrageseite des Marktes ergeben. Fuer den Zugang von mittelstaendischen Unternehmen zum Kapitalmarkt wird die Schaffung eines Spezialmarktes fuer die Bereitstellung von Risikokapital fuer junge Unternehmen in der Expansionsphase vorgeschlagen. Die Untersuchung schliesst mit einer Uebersicht zur Situation des deutschen Risikokapitalmarktes. Technological advancements in sport psychology

Sport technology has become increasingly important for recording, analyzing, and optimizing athletic performances. This chapter provides an overview of technological advancements in sport psychology, and highlights their key characteristics and useful applications. We describe techniques that enrich the physical environment of athletes, such as virtual, augmented, and mixed realities. Then we explain attentional, auditory, and brain-related technologies such as eye tracking, sonification, and EEG that can help to improve the cognitive processes of athletes, and serve as diagnostic and training tools.
