This research deals with the effects of exogenous growth regulators on mineral nutrition of the tomato plant (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill, cv. 'Miguel Pereira'). To study the influence on mineral nutrition, (2-chloroethyl) trimethilammonium chloride (CCC), at concentration of 2,000 ppm, succinic acid-2,2-dimethylhydrazide (SADH) (4,000 ppm), gibberellic acid (GA) (100 ppm), (2-chloroethyl) phosphonic acid (CEPA) (200 ppm), indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) (100 ppm), and 6-furfurylamino purine (FAP) (500 ppm) were applied. Higher levels of nitrogen, calcium and magnesium occurred in the stem of plants sprayed with CCC. Treatments with FAP. SADH and CEPA demonstrated an increase in nitrogen levels in the stem. CEPA also increased calcium contents in stems. Growth regulators used did not alter the levels of macronutrients in leaves of tomatoes in relation to check plants.

This research deals with the effects of exogenous growth regulators on development of the tomato cultivar «Miguel Pereira». Observations of tomato plants treated with (2-chloroethyl) trimethylammonium chloride (2,000 ppm) and succinic acid -2,2-d:methyi-hydrazide (3,000 ppm) showed that growth regulators induced little variation in plant height. Gibberellic acid (100 ppm) caused greater variation in height.

We have studied the effect of application of growth regulators, (2-chloroethyl) trimethylammonium chloride (CCC), N,N-dimethylaminosuccinamic acid (SADH), gibberellic acid (GA3) and 3-indoleacetic acid (IAA) on cotton, Gossypium hirsutum L. cv. 'IAC-RM3', in relation to atack of Aphis gossypii Glover, 1876, under greenhouse conditions. Two determinations of infestation levels of the aphids showed differences in degree of infestation among treatments. CCC treated plants showed increasing in aphid colonization in relation to GA3 at 100 ppm treated plants. The application of SADH at 4000 ppm also showed a tendency of increasing aphid colonization in relation to treated plants with GA3 at 100 ppm. Probably growth retardants promote differences in the water status of hostplant; and the aphids preferences to that plants suggest that the increase in the osmotic potential promotes better rates of aphid feeding than GA3 treated plants. In treated plants with GA3 at 100 ppm the infestation decreased, there was water stress during the warmer time of the day and a probable decreasing in the osmotic potential.

Constructing Copoint Graphs of Convex Geometries

We work with copoint graphs of convex geometries. Copoint graphs can be used to study the complex and fairly recent field of convex geometries. Comparing copoints graphs and their convex geometries helps identify properties. We demonstrate that multiple convex geometries have the same underlying copoint graph. All graphs on one to five vertices can be represented as possible copoint graphs of some convex geometry. Furthermore, we construct several infinite classes of copoint graphs including the complete k-partite graph, path graph, centipede graph, ladder graph, comb graph, pom pom graph, shark teeth graph, and broken wheel graph
