Information Education in Italy: Projects and Activities in Academic Environment

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o problematice informačního vzdělávání v Itálii a zaměřuje se především na informačně-vzdělávací projekty a aktivity v akademickém prostředí. V úvodní kapitole je formulováno několik tezí, týkajících se italského prostředí ve vztahu k informačnímu vzdělávání a informační gramotnosti. V druhé kapitole je stručně přiblížena řada aspektů a výzev informačního vzdělávání v Itálii - systém legislativní snahy na cestě vstříc informační společnosti, charakteristika současného stavu vyššího vzdělávání a informačního vzdělávání na univerzitách, výklad a terminologická úskalí pojmů informační gramotnost a informační vzdělávání, charakteristika nástrojů umožňujících a podporujících informační vzdělávání, otázka plagiátorství. Třetí kapitola popisuje několik významných italských iniciativ (včetně jedné evropské, sídlící v Itálii) z jiné než akademické sféry. Ve čtvrté kapitole je pojednáno o postavení knihoven a knihovníků v italském státě a o roli, kterou hrají ve vzdělávacím procesu. Pátá kapitola je věnována analýze konkrétních informačně-vzdělávacích aktivit na vybraných italských univerzitách. Závěr práce shrnuje získané informace a potvrzuje či vyvrací v úvodu formulované hypotézy.This thesis deals with the issue of information education in Italy and focuses primarily on projects and activities in the academic environment. This thesis deals with the issue of Information Education in Italy and focuses primarily on Projects and Activities in the Academic Environment. In the introductory chapter several theses are formulated, regarding Italian environment in relation to Information Literacy and Information Education. In the second chapter many aspects and challenges of Information Education in Italy are briefly zoomed - a system of legislative efforts on the path towards the Information Society, a characteristics of the current state of Higher Education and Information Education at universities, the interpretation of terms Information Literacy and Information Education and their terminological pitfalls in Italian, characteristics and tools supporting Information Education, the issue of Plagiarism. The third chapter discusses several major Italian initiatives (including one European, based in Italy) from a non academic sphere. The fourth chapter discusses the status of libraries and librarians in Italy and their role in the educational process. The fifth chapter is devoted to analysis of specific Information Literacy Projects in selected Italian universities. Hope and Meaning of Human Existence: Comparing the Approach to Human Existence of Gabriel Marcel and Albert Camus

73 Abstract The first part of my dissertation deals with the philosophy of Gabriel Marcel. It begins with the basic information about the philosopher as well as with his thinking placed within the context of the philosophy's history. Next step is Mr. Marcel's ideas about the feeling of the essence of life which is significant to experience in one man's life in order to set off the journey of englightenment. The feeling of the essence of life is unfortunately being silenced in nowadays people. After that I introduce the philosopher's conception of the imprisonment of a human being. This imprisonment is the cornerstone of his explanation of the metaphysics of hope. At the end of the first part I submit the power and the importance of hope in a human's state of mind which can be so stable that even the death of the beloved doesn't mean the end of hope. As mentioned before, the second part begins with the information about Mr. Albert Camus and I also put his philosophy in the context of the history. The most important step is to introduce his feeling of the futility without which the philosophy of Mr. Camus cannot be understood. 72 Abstrakt První část práce se zabývá filosofií Gabriela Marcela. Tato část začíná úvodním medailonem o autorovi, včetně zasazení jeho myšlení v kontextu dějin filosofie. Dále je přiblížen pocit bytí, který člověk, dle autora, potřebuje v sobě zacítit, aby tak mohl vstoupit na cestu prozření. Pocit bytí je ale bohužel u dnešního člověka často ztlumený. Poté je představeno autorovo pojetí stavu zajetí člověka. Zajetí je podkladem pro následné hluboké vysvětlení autorovy metafyziky naděje. V závěru této části je síla a důležitost naděje vykreslena na stavu člověka, pro kterého ani smrt jemu milované bytosti neznamená její zaniknutí. Druhá část práce je věnovaná filosofii Alberta Camuse, který je též v úvodu stručně představen, včetně jeho zasazení filosofického systému. Poté je představen pocit absurdna, bez kterého filosofii tohoto autora nelze pochopit. Dále je autorova základní filosofie otevřena výchozí otázkou, tedy otázkou po sebevraždě, kterou se autor ptá, zda lidský život má cenu takovou, aby byl žit. Tato výchozí otázka je také odrazovým bodem Camusovy ústřední myšlenky, která je následně plně znázorněna na Mýtu o Sisyfovi. Téma naděje a smyslu člověka v podobě Camusovy revolty je osvětleno v poslední části, věnované tomuto filosofovi.
