We have developed a system that allows a piano to perform automatically. In order to play music in the manner of a live pianist, we must add expression to the piano’s performance. Therefore, we have developed an interactive musical editing system that utilizes a database to edit music more efficiently. The 2021 International Conference on Artificial Life and Robotics (ICAROB 2021), January 21-24, 2021, Higashi-Hiroshima (オンライン開催に変更

The glucosinolate-myrosinase system is a well-known defense system that has been shown to induce stomatal closure in Brassicales. Isothiocyanates are highly reactive hydrolysates of glucosinolates, and an isothiocyanate, allyl isothiocyanate (AITC), induces stomatal closure accompanied by elevation of free cytosolic Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+](cyt)) in Arabidopsis. It remains unknown whether AITC inhibits light-induced stomatal opening. This study investigated the role of Ca2+ in AITC-induced stomatal closure and inhibition of light-induced stomatal opening. AITC induced stomatal closure and inhibited light-induced stomatal opening in a dose-dependent manner. A Ca2+ channel inhibitor, La3+, a Ca(2+)chelator, EGTA, and an inhibitor of Ca2+ release from internal stores, nicotinamide, inhibited AITC-induced [Ca2+](cyt) elevation and stomatal closure, but did not affect inhibition of light-induced stomatal opening. AITC activated non-selective Ca2+-permeable cation channels and inhibited inward-rectifying K+ (K-in(+)) channels in a Ca2+-independent manner. AITC also inhibited stomatal opening induced by fusicoccin, a plasma membrane H+-ATPase activator, but had no significant effect on fusicoccin-induced phosphorylation of the penultimate threonine of H+-ATPase. Taken together, these results suggest that AITC induces Ca2+ influx and Ca2+ release to elevate [Ca2+](cyt), which is essential for AITC-induced stomatal closure but not for inhibition of K-in(+) channels and light-induced stomatal opening

How can the research trends in Japanese family sociology of the past two decades be described from the perspectives of social research? The author tries to explore the trends, if any, by reviewing the related articles in Japanese Journal of Family Sociology and Annals of Family Studies, focusing on the data collecting methods and the objects of the analysis. This review shows that qualitative studies are on the wax and quantitative studies are, on the other hand, on the wane in number. In qualitative studies, articles using interview methods have increased remarkably. The main objects of the interview are women such as wife and mother, while new objects like care-workers and non-heterosexuals have recently emerged. In quantitative studies, articles using first hand data have decreased and those using secondary analysis have increased. The objects of the analysis are inclined to concentrate on the member of the nuclear family", especially wives and mothers. The author suggests that the research target should include men\u27s experience in family life, so that the qualitative and quantitative studies can be more correlated, leading to leveling up the quality of the articles using quantitative approaches

At present, Romantic Love became an ordinary event for anyone. We are surrounded by various discourse about Love. In such a situation, What variation will a point of view about Love have? This paper is a preliminary study of the variation of view about Love. The data depends on the investigation which implemented the students of Momoyama Gakuin University in the autumn of 1993. In the analysis, first, it tries the classification of view about Love by the analysis searching, factor analysis, and cluster analysis. And then, We examined the relation between the attribute, the view of matrimony and clusters of view about Love. As the results of analysis, View about Love was divided into 4 factors and composed 6 clusters. Also, the clusters of view about Love differed with sex. Finally, We considered the change of the meaning of Love in today

With increase of importance of family consciousness studies need to pay off existing family consciousness studies occurs, too. I discussed this paper about a problem of measurement in "ie" Idology studies as a part of work that rethinking development of family consciousness studies. Primarily, in this paper, a list uped question sentence used by studies as before. Second, I tried rearranging about problems of case of measurement

Doppler ultrasound findings correlate with tissue vascularity and inflammation in surgical pathology specimens from patients with small intestinal Crohn’s disease

BACKGROUND: Crohn’s disease (CD) is routinely evaluated using clinical symptoms, laboratory variables, and the CD activity index (CDAI). However, clinical parameters are often nonspecific and do not precisely reflect the actual activity of CD small-intestinal lesions. The purposes of this prospective study were to compare color Doppler ultrasound (US) findings with histological findings from surgically resected specimens and confirm the hypothesis that color Doppler US can distinguish tissue inflammation and fibrosis. METHODS: Among 1764 consecutive patients who underwent color Doppler US examinations, 10 patients with CD (12 small-intestinal CD lesions) who underwent US examinations before elective small-intestine resection were evaluated in the present study. Areas of thickened intestinal walls were evaluated in terms of blood flow using color Doppler US imaging. The blood flow was semiquantitatively classified as “hyper-flow” and “hypo-flow” according to the Limberg score. Resected lesions were macroscopically and histopathologically processed. Inflammatory cell infiltration, fibrosis and vascularity were evaluated by myeloperoxidase (granulocytes), CD163 (macrophages), CD79a (B cells), CD3 (T cells), Masson’s trichrome (fibrosis), and factor VIII staining (vascular walls). All histopathological images were entered into virtual slide equipment and quantified using a quantitative microscopy integrated system (TissueMorph™). RESULTS: There were no significant differences in disease features or laboratory findings between “hypo-flow” lesions (n = 4) and “hyper-flow” lesions (n = 8). Histopathologically, “hyper-flow” lesions showed significantly greater bowel wall vascularity (factor VIII) (p = 0.047) and inflammatory cell infiltration, including CD163 macrophages (p = 0.008), CD3 T cells, and CD79a B cells (p = 0.043), than did “hypo-flow” lesions. There was no apparent association between the blood flow and CDAI. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, active CD lesions were macroscopically visible in surgical specimens of patients with increased blood flow on preoperative color Doppler US imaging. Additionally, these CD lesions exhibited significantly greater vascularity and numbers of inflammatory leukocytes microscopically. Color Doppler US may predict tissue inflammation and fibrosis in small-intenstinal CD lesions
