Intellectual Capital in Enterprises and a Model Study in an Industrial Zone
Intellectual Capital in Enterprises and a Model Study in an Industrial Zone AbstractThe study mainly consists of two parts. The first part includes theoretical knowledge, the second part includes application-oriented information. In the theoretical part of the study, intellectual capital and SMEs are emphasized in general. In the application-oriented part of the study, a field research will be done for Corum SME. In this study, the demographic structure of Corum SMEs, intellectual capital structure and financial performance of this structure will be evaluated. The resulting data will be analyzed in this context. The businesses operating in the Organized Industrial Zone of Corum and those matching the definition of SME will be considered within the research scope. Surveys will be applied by interviewers face to face and each survey will be evaluated individually. After the evaluation, a model will be proposed. The aim of our study is to investigate the relationship between components of intellectual capital in SMEs and business performance. For this reason, a survey will be conducted for SMEs. Since the results of the study will be shared with scientific circles and the public, they will prove to be guiding for Çorum SMEs.
Heart Rate Variability in Children with Tricyclic Antidepressant Intoxication
The aim of this study was to evaluate HRV in children requiring intensive care unit stays due to TCA poisoning between March 2009 and July 2010. In the time-domain nonspectral evaluation, the SDNN (P<0.001), SDNNi (P<0.05), RMSDD (P<0.01), and pNN50 (P<0.01) were found to be significantly lower in the TCA intoxication group. The spectral analysis of the data recorded during the first 5 minutes after intensive care unit admission showed that the values of the nLF (P<0.05) and the LF/HF ratio (P=0.001) were significantly higher in the TCA intoxication group, while the nHF (P=0.001) values were significantly lower. The frequency-domain spectral analysis of the data recorded during the last 5 minutes showed a lower nHF (P=0.001) in the TCA intoxication group than in the controls, and the LF/HF ratio was significantly higher (P<0.05) in the intoxication group. The LF/HF ratio was higher in the seven children with seizures (P<0.001). These findings provided us with a starting point for the value of HRV analysis in determining the risk of arrhythmia and convulsion in TCA poisoning patients. HRV can be used as a noninvasive testing method in determining the treatment and prognosis of TCA poisoning patients
The Use Of The Midas Questionnaire To Assess Migraine And Tension Type Headache In Adolescents
Objective: Headache is the most common type of pain that children and adolescents complain as well as being the most common neurological symptom. Among all school-age children, 15-20% experience headache and 3-5% of these are migraine. To determine the grade of disability caused by migraine, a specific scale, the Migraine Disability Assessment (MIDAS) questionnaire has been developed. Our objective was to gain information about the evaluation of different types of headaches in adolescents by using the Turkish version of the MIDAS, and to investigate its reliability for differentiation of migraine and tension type headaches. Material and Methods: Eighty two adolescents between the ages of 10 and 16 years were asked questions about the characteristics of their headaches and then the MIDAS questionnaire was administered. The type of headache was then determined according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders Criteria-II (ICHD-II). Results: In 45 patients (54.9%) tension type, in 20 patients (24.4%) migraine, in 10 patients (12.2%) psychogenic type and in seven (8.5%) patients a mixed or nonspecific headache was found. It was found that patients with tension type headaches were more likely to have a grade 1score (48.9%) whereas migraine type headache was more common in grade 4 (45%). Conclusion: We believe that modification of the MIDAS questionnaire to meet the needs of adolescent patients will help in the differentiation between different types of headaches.WoSScopu

A genetic probe into the ancient and medieval history of Southern Europe and West Asia
Literary and archaeological sources have preserved a rich history of Southern Europe and West Asia since the Bronze Age that can be complemented by genetics. Mycenaean period elites in Greece did not differ from the general population and included both people with some steppe ancestry and others, like the Griffin Warrior, without it. Similarly, people in the central area of the Urartian Kingdom around Lake Van lacked the steppe ancestry characteristic of the kingdom’s northern provinces. Anatolia exhibited extraordinary continuity down to the Roman and Byzantine periods, with its people serving as the demographic core of much of the Roman Empire, including the city of Rome itself. During medieval times, migrations associated with Slavic and Turkic speakers profoundly affected the region
