Agent Based E-Market: Framework, Design, and Implementation

    Get PDF
Attempt has been made to design and develop a complete adoptive Multi Agent System pertaining to merchant brokering stage of Customer Buying Behaviour Model with the intent of appropriate framework. Intelligent agents are autonomous entity which observe and act upon an environment. In general, they are software robots and vitally used in variety of e-Business applications. This paper focuses on the discussions on electronic markets and the adoptive role, which agents can play in information transformation for automating e-market transactions. It is proposed to develop a framework for agent-based electronic markets for buyers and sellers totally with the assistance of software agents.Agent Oriented e-Business, Agent Oriented e-Markets, Buyer/Seller Agents, Java, Multi Agent Systems

Role of Visibility in Supply Chain Management

    Get PDF
It is substantial for manufacturing industries to enforce and seek out new strategies regarding supply chain management to endure within the current competitive and capricious business climate which is critical. We try to underlie a policy for manufacturers to connect all operational issues related to the supply chain. This chapter suggests a concept of visibility that represents a beneficial role among business partners such as manufacturers, supplier, and customers. The categorization of several types for uncertainties in the supply chain such as demand, quality, broader variety, time, and customization of a product are related to the decision-maker. Management of uncertainties applicable with the help of sharing the information creates visibility among supply chain partners. Implementing supply chain visibility becomes easier just because of passing information about products globally which is more a matter of priorities and investment, which is not the case when sharing “official data” about people. As social technologies become more prominent, this may change over time. So, supply chain visibility is beneficial for supply chain partners

Multimodal Speech Enhancement Using Burst Propagation

This paper proposes the MBURST, a novel multimodal solution for audio-visual speech enhancements that consider the most recent neurological discoveries regarding pyramidal cells of the prefrontal cortex and other brain regions. The so-called burst propagation implements several criteria to address the credit assignment problem in a more biologically plausible manner: steering the sign and magnitude of plasticity through feedback, multiplexing the feedback and feedforward information across layers through different weight connections, approximating feedback and feedforward connections, and linearizing the feedback signals. MBURST benefits from such capabilities to learn correlations between the noisy signal and the visual stimuli, thus attributing meaning to the speech by amplifying relevant information and suppressing noise. Experiments conducted over a Grid Corpus and CHiME3-based dataset show that MBURST can reproduce similar mask reconstructions to the multimodal backpropagation-based baseline while demonstrating outstanding energy efficiency management, reducing the neuron firing rates to values up to \textbf{70%70\%} lower. Such a feature implies more sustainable implementations, suitable and desirable for hearing aids or any other similar embedded systems

Evaluation of Fractal Dimension and Topographic Surface Roughness (Vertical Dissection) in Astore-Deosai-Skardu Region in GIS Environment Using ASTER GDEM

Fractal investigation is a valuable technique to model and quantify the composite patterns of natural similarobjects. This study investigates Neotectonics using ASTER-GDEM. Fractal technique for extraction of topographicfractal dimension (Dtopo) and vertical dissection (Rtopo-surf) were used to assess the Neotectonics deformation.Geomorphological regions can be demarcated by using above mentioned procedures as they reveal the topographicevolutionary stages as an evaluation of topographic textures. The idea is to recognize the zones that are stronglyinfluenced by Neotectonics. Astore-Deosai-Skardu (ADS) region in Gilgit-Baltistan was selected for this purpose as itlies between MKT and MMT which is experiencing surface topographic deformation (STD) caused by anti-clock-wiseprogression and subduction of Indian plate beneath Eurasia. The results obtained illustrates that Dtopo and Rtopo-surf showanomalies in the ADS region that clearly represent a robust control of nearby MMT, MKT and KkF and highlights theirsignificance to describe regions vulnerable to Neotectonics and related deadly events threatening precious human livesand infrastructure damages

Moderating Role of Consumer’s Demographics on the Relationship between Consumers’ Shopping Orientation and Behavior

The present plans to comprehension methods of web shopping conduct among young adults can empower online sellers to outline more powerful and effective advertising procedures. The target of present research is to quantify the consumer conduct in the web-shopping of general items in Pakistan. The research investigates the relationship between shopping tendency (entertainment inclination, experiential incline, quality orientation as well as convenience) and internet shopping conduct of consumers as far as recurrence and experience in light of the fact that the principle question in our research is the manner by which consumer acts during web shopping. Primary data were gathered through questionnaire survey from 252 students of the university and affiliated colleges. The relationship between shopping trends and recurrence of internet purchasing uncovers that trial online customers are more stimulation situated than their regular partners. The study is geographically constrained in light of the fact that information was gathered from different graduates and postgraduates students of University of Sargodha and affiliated colleges in Sargodha only

Object Caching Model for Cell Phone Mobile Database

Abstract- Inherent limitations of mobile computing environment such as limited bandwidth, limited resourced mobile phones, and instability of wireless environment require summarized mobile database at mobile phones. Therefore the critical database summarization is done through an adoptive model incorporating object accessibility pattern in database queries by making optimal use of exponentially weighted moving averages. The database will keep only most frequently access objects at mobile phone to improve performance and provide high data availability for disconnected operations. Mathematical model and summarization scheme is proposed, along with simulation study, which identifies most frequently accessed objects to ensure high data availability for small memory mobile phones
