Comparative efficiency of different surfaces for drying fish

    Get PDF
The efficiency of four different drying surfaces, namely, cement platform, palmyrah leaf mat, aluminum tray and stretched net for drying fish were studied using sciaenids, mullet and perch. All the drying surfaces were found to be equally efficient. The cheaper and locally available palmyrah leaf mat or stretched net can replace costly cement platform and aluminium tray for efficient drying of fish

Quality of dry fish from markets in Andhra Pradesh

    Get PDF
Dry fish samples were procured from different fish markets and subjected to biochemical and bacteriological evaluation for assessing quality. The quality of market samples was compared with the samples dried in laboratory and in the mechanical drier [sic]. Most of the market samples had high moisture and sand contents. TVN values of market samples were high showing poor quality of the finished product

Utilisation of blood clam Anadara granosa

    Get PDF
Blood clam (Anadara granosa) forms a fishery of considerable magnitude in the Kakinada Bay where an estimated 20001 are landed annually. Ini addition culture technology for blood clam has been standardised In India, throwing open the possibility of large scale farming of this species. Presently clam meat is burnt along with shell to produce lime. In order to optimise the utilisation Of blood clam as against the existing gross under utilisation Kakinada Research Centre of CIFT has developed the technologies for Icing, freezing and canning of the clam. A pickled product and sausage are the other products developed by the Centre. The paper describes the technologies developed for utilisation of blood clam

Abstract: 1-Phenyl-4-(2'-hydroxyphenyl-1-yl)di-imino azine, {1P-4-(2' HPDA)} 1, 4(2'-hydroxyphenyl-1-yl)di-imino azine, {1, 4-(2' HPDA)} are derived from benzophenone hydrozone with different aldehydes in presence of few drops of concentrated hydrochloric acid in alcoholic medium. Metal(II) complexes have been prepared by salts of CoCl 2 , CuCl 2 , NiCl 2 and CdCl 2 reacting with azine ligands dissolved in alcohol in the molar ratio of (1:2). The prepared complexes were characterized by using various physical methods viz. elemental, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, IR, NMR, XRD and UV-Visible. Conductivity of the powder samples were measured by two probe method. Measured electrical conductivities of Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) complexes of azines are reported in this paper. It is found that at room temperature these complexes show insulator behavior. At higher temperature conductivity increases linearly, showing semi conducting behavior

Smart X-Ray Interpreter for Predicting Epoch of Healthcare Using Machine Learning

This paper provides a complete overview of our work in providing a well-designed and accurate X ray scanner accessible to everyone and features applications that include radiology research and sharp X Rays. The use of Artificial intelligence (AI) has been rapidly advancing in medicine, especially in radiology. Artificial intelligence has in addition been a source of amazing development and alarming research in recent years. In addition to the risks and problems of quality assurance related to Artificial intelligence (AI), it offers large open doors to change the way radio sensible management is delivered. In addition, it is possible that AI could become a strong, persistent companion of a radiologist, in addition to being an important tool for preparing radiologist students. This model explores and validates the opportunity to innovate in providing the essential X Ray Scanner

Brain Tumor Identification and Classification System Using Convolutional Neural Network

The production of extra cells often results in the formation of clusters tissue, which means growth or tumor. Brain tumor has two types: Benign Non-Cancer and Malignant Cancer and Leading bad human condition. Brain tumor has various dimensions as well shapes and comes from different places. It is very important to find the type it grows at its beginning. Separation, acquisition and acquisition of the location of the infected tumor from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is primary anxiety but a tedious and time-consuming task done by a radiologist or clinic doctor professionals and their accuracy is based solely on their experience. So use computer technology required. So feeding ahead of performance. A neural network called the Convolution neural network (CNN) is used for measurement the complexity of the tumor in the brain that provides accurate results

Out of 21 samples screened for bacteriological studies, 17 samples have shown the presence of enterobacters , 12 samples contained Pseudomonas and proleus was found in two samples. Salmonella and shigella were absent in these Samples. The edible muscle of frozen and thawed samples was analysed for moisture, protein, fat, ash and nutritive minerals like calcium, phosphorous and iron. The total protein content of the muscle of different fishes studied varied from 1625 to 20.88 per cent on wet weight basis. The fat content is found to be more in deep sea fishes namely black ruff (6.074 per cent ) and psenes (3.796 per cent ) than in other common varieties of inshore fishes analysed. Not Availabl

A Single Inductor Multi-Port Power Converter for Electric Vehicle Applications

    No full text
This research presents a non-isolated multi-port power converter feasible to hybridize energy alternatives in electric vehicles. Due to the hybridization of the various input sources, there are several advantages in load power distribution in the system. Flexible control of discharging as well as the charging process concerning the energy sources can be achieved. The developed converter can able to boost the voltage levels with dual inputs such as a renewable solar PV and the other input as a battery and provides dual outputs with various voltage levels, which can able to suit the converter fed for several loads like motor drive and the low-rated loads like lighting and other auxiliary supplies in electric vehicles. Also, as the various voltages appear at the output, this converter can be interfaced with multilevel inverters fed electric vehicle drivetrain. The utilization of multilevel inverters reduces the total harmonic distortion and torque ripples in motor drives in electric vehicles. The proposed converter consists of less number of components making the circuit simple and cost-effective. With one inductor, two various modes are obtained for charging and discharging states concerning the energy storage units. A state-space analysis is designed for all the converter operating modes along with its control design. The proposed multi-port DC-DC converter is designed in MATLAB/Simulink and tested in a laboratory environment with a hardware setup. 2013 IEEE.Open Access funding provided by the Qatar National Library.Scopu

Not AvailableThree batches of fermented silage (FS) were made using silver bellies along with Lactobacillus plantarum (5%), sodium benzoate and molasses. The result indicated that 10% molasses with Lb. plantarum and sodium benzoate yielded a stable silage with desirable pH of <4.5, whereas molasses at 6 or 8% did not produce stable silage and had high levels of H2S producing bacteria and total Enterobacteriaceae counts. The minimum pH attained was 4.0, 4.7 and 5.0 in 10, 8 and 6% molasses, respectively. Experiments were carried out to use material from previous FS as starter inoculum for converting fresh fish mince to silage using 1 colon 1, 1 colon 2, 1 colon 4, 1 colon 5 and 1 colon 10 ratios. Stable FS was added to fresh fish mince, to which the required amount of molasses (10%) and sodium benzoate (0.5%) were added. The results suggested that 14-day old FS can be used as starter culture at 1:5 ratio effectively to produce stable FS.Not Availabl
