Digital Breast Tomosynthesis for Dense Breasts

Digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), also referred to as three-dimensional digital mammography provides a new technique that can aid in dense breast imaging. Mammography is the process of creating images of the breast for screening and diagnostic purposes by using low dose radiation. Screening mammograms are performed once a patient is age forty and then annually after that. It is used to provide an earlier detection of breast cancer for a better chance of survival. Diagnostic mammograms are performed when a patient has a strong family history of breast cancer or clinical evidence, such as, a breast lump. Most cancerous lesions found in the breast have irregular boarders that appear spiculated and as architectural distortions. Dense breast tissue can mask these spiculations. DBT reduces masking and resolves superimposition of breast tissue allowing better discrimination of tissue structures and improves visualization. Leadership development and sport participation : perceptions of selected business managers

The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of selected business managers of their competitive sport experience and whether or not ten events previously identified by researchers of The Center for Creative Leadership were associated with the events. The interview technique was chosen as the research tool to obtain original descriptions of the subjects's sport experiences. The ten events were organized into four categories. The category of OTHER PEOPLE included role models and values playing out. The OTHER EXPERIENCES category was represented by early sport experiences and purely personal. The category of ASSIGNMENTS included only scope. HARDSHIPS were represented by breaking a rut, demotions/missed promotions, failures and mistakes, traumas, and performance problems. A semi structured interview format was used. A short questionnaire was devised to obtain demographic information. The fifteen subjects were enrolled in the Master's of Business Administration Executive Program of the Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University

Swift in his Poetry

Swift appears in many of his poems either in his o person or behind a poetic mask which does little to conceal his identity. The poems contain Swift's view of his own character. Even in the poems addressed to others, the most important subject is Swift himself. This study is divided into chapters which examine the various roles Swift assumed in both his private and public lives. Following a brief introduction are two chapters of more interest than significance. The first of these is concerned with poems on Swift as a houseguest. These poems frequently relate the difficulties Swift's eccentric behavior caused his hosts. The second deals with poems on Swift's relationships with friends such as Thomas Sheridan and Patrick Delany, as well as with a public adversary, Jonathan Smedley

Protect Her . . . Protect Yourself: a Novel

Tom Randolph, the narrator of this short novel, is a recently divorced university instructor. The setting of the novel is inner-city Dallas, where Tom has leased an apartment after leaving his suburban home. Frustrated by a tenacious affection for his former wife Sharon and disgust at her remarriage to a drunken ranch laborer, Tom marries a muddled eighteen-year-old girl, .Faye. When Faye is abducted, Tom assents to Sharon's request to return to him. Tom buries an unrecognizable corpse he thinks is Faye, and Sharon's new "husband" (a bigamist) is killed in a brawl. After Tom and Sharon's remarriage, Faye reappears as a street-corner missionary
