Gig Economy: A Dynamic Principal-Agent Model
The gig economy, where employees take short-term, project-based jobs, is
increasingly spreading all over the world. In this paper, we investigate the
employer's and the worker's behavior in the gig economy with a dynamic
principal-agent model. In our proposed model the worker's previous decisions
influence his later decisions through his dynamically changing participation
constraint. He accepts the contract offered by the employer when his expected
utility is higher than the irrational valuation of his effort's worth. This
reference point is based on wages he achieved in previous rounds. We formulate
the employer's stochastic control problem and derive the solution in the
deterministic limit. We obtain the feasible net wage of the worker, and the
profit of the employer. Workers who can afford to go unemployed and need not
take a gig at all costs will realize high net wages. Conversely, far-sighted
employers who can afford to stall production will obtain high profits
Az ösztönzés következményei a haknigazdaságban
Folyamatosan terjed a világban a határozott idejű, szerződéses alapú foglalkoztatás. Ezt a munkaszervezési módot sok elnevezéssel illetik, mi a legátfogóbb
értelemben a haknigazdaság (angolul gig economy) elnevezést használjuk a dolgozatban. Ismertetjük a haknigazdaság alapvető jellemzőit, különös tekintettel a
munkás Ă©s a munkáltatĂł viszonyát meghatározĂł, rövid távĂş Ă©s ösztönzĹ‘ szerzĹ‘dĂ©sekre.
a rövid távĂş ösztönzĹ‘ szerzĹ‘dĂ©sbĹ‘l eredeztethetĹ‘ bizonytalanság számtalan pszicholĂłgiai Ă©s társadalmi kihĂvás okozĂłja

Haknigazdaság – egy dinamikus megbĂzó–ügynök modell
A haknigazdaság, amelyben a munkavállalók rövid távú, projektalapú munkát
vállalnak, egyre inkább terjed az egĂ©sz világon. Ebben a cikkben dinamikus megbĂzó–ügynök modell segĂtsĂ©gĂ©vel vizsgáljuk a munkáltatĂłk Ă©s a munkavállalĂłk
viselkedését és interakcióját a haknigazdaságban. Javasolt modellünkben a munkavállaló korábbi döntései a dinamikusan változó és endogén részvételi korlátján
keresztül befolyásolják a későbbi döntéseket. A munkavállaló heurisztikus döntési
szabálya szerint elfogadja a munkáltatĂł által kĂnált szerzĹ‘dĂ©st, ha annak várhatĂł
hasznossága magasabb, mint a munkavállaló referenciaértéke. Ez a referenciaérték
a korábbi tapasztalatain, a korábban elért fizetéseken alapszik.
nagyobb részesedést kap a munka gyümölcséből
The causal impacts of empty stadiums on women’s sports activities
This paper examines the effect of spectators on women’s football games. COVID-19 and related restrictions
provide a unique opportunity with an adequate sample size to test the effect of lockdown on sports activities.
Studies have recently exploited this opportunity for men’s football to better understand the potential causes of
home advantage and, more specifically, assess the psychological consequences when matches are played without
supporters. Despite the increased scientific interest, there was only one paper that focused on women’s football.
Therefore, we aim to contribute to this research field by considering matches from four major European women’s
football leagues. The findings suggest that for three of these leagues, lockdown has a statistically significant effect
on the sanctioned yellow cards by either reducing the number of yellow cards sanctioned to the away teams or
increasing the number of yellow cards sanctioned to the home teams. Nonetheless, lockdown does not affect any
final match outcomes; therefore, it does not significantly affect the magnitude of home advantage for women’s
games
