Syn-odos: o elemento estruturo-sinodal na Igreja Católica

A Igreja possui uma estrutura e composição hierárquica e sinodal. Esta verdade da história e sabedoria da Igreja é, ao mesmo tempo, um binómio de tensão para o qual há que procurar reiteradamente o equilíbrio nem sempre fácil. O presente texto começa por mostrar a não-equivalência estrutural entre o princípio hierárquico e o sinodal, quase sempre em detrimento da constituição sinodal que aparece, na Igreja Católica, como o princípio fraco face ao princípio forte ou hierárquico; que marcou um franco avanço no sentido de um novo equilíbrio entre os dois referidos princípios (ponto II). Num terceiro momento (ponto III), apresentamos algumas propostas concretas para reforçar o elemento estrutural sinodal no seio da Igreja Católica.The Church possesses a structure and composition that is hierarchical and synodal.
