This thesis report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, 2006.Cataloged from PDF version of thesis report.Includes bibliographical references (page 75).Since Internet has become the leading source of information for the users, flames or abusive messages have also become the prominent factors of time wasting for retrieving information. Moreover, a text can contain factual information as well as abusive or insulting contents. This paper describes a new approach for an automated system to distinguish between information and personal attack containing insulting or abusive messages in a given document. In NLP, flames or abusive messages are considered as extreme subjective language, which refers to detect personal opinions or emotions in a news article. Insulting or abusive messages are viewed as extreme subset of the subjective language because of its extreme nature. We defined some rules to extract the semantic information of a given sentence from the general semantic structure of that sentence.Altaf MahmudKazi Zubair AhmedB. Computer Science and Engineerin

The word 2018;Job2019; term as a regular activity performed in exchange for payment is considered as one of the most important activities for many families worldwide .Evaluation is necessary when more than one opportunity come to an To fulfill their desired goal, it is the 2018;evaluation2019; which assesses among the factors. In addition, it is difficult to measure qualitative factors in a quantitative way, resulting incomplete-ness in data and hence, uncertainty. Besides it is essential to address the subject of uncertainty by using apt methodology; otherwise, the decision to choose a job will become inapt. There exist many methods name as Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP), Analytical Network Process (ANP) and so on. But the mentioned methods are not suitable to address the subject of uncertainty and hence, resulting inappropriate selection to the expecting job. Therefore, this paper demonstrates the application of a novel method named Evidential Reasoning (ER), which is capable of addressing the uncertainty of multi-criterion problem, where there exist factors of both subjective and objective nature. The ER method handles uncertainties by using a belief structure is aggregating degrees of belief from lower level factors to higher level factors

Management of a fractured endodontically treated tooth with crown lengthening and glass fibre post: A case report

    Get PDF
Purpose: This clinical case discusses the step-by-step implementation of a core and a post system that uses a single resin composite material for cementation of a glass fibre post and core build up of a fracture endodontically treated maxillary left first premolar with gingivectomy as a crown lengthening procedure. Clinical considerations: Several materials and methods has been discussed in the literatures regarding restoration of endodontically treated teeth with minimal tooth structure left which require fibre post and core build up. Gingivectomy as a crown lengthening is also a common procedure that facilitates restorative dentistry. This case presents a restoration of a tooth with a short clinical crown by gingivectomy and post core build up by glass fibre post with a mono-block technique or core-and-post technique with dual cure composite resin as a luting and core build up material. Conclusion:Post and core is needed to restored tooth with little tooth structure remaining.Glass fibre post are prefabricated posts which makes it easy to manipulate and reduces chairs side time among other advantages. Use of single material system for post-and-core reduces the steps of manipulation and chair side time compared to conventional techniques. Clinical significance: More measures are required when different materials are used for post-cementation and core build-up, increasing the chair time and the number of interfaces between the materials. However, these shortcomings can be overcome by the mono-block technique where only one material is used for both cementation and core build up

The link between Facebook addiction and depression among university students: evidence from a lower‐middle income country

Background and Aims Among all the social media, Facebook is the most popular social networking site among students. That raises a chance of excessive Facebook usage being a form of addiction to hamper students' mental health. The primary goal of this study was to find the association of Facebook addiction with the depression level of university students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method Four hundred ten university students from Bangladesh were selected randomly as samples for this investigation. In this study, the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale and nine-item Patient Health Questionnaire were used to assess the level of Facebook Addiction and depression status of the students, respectively. Ordered probit models were employed to identify the connection between Facebook addiction and depression. Ordinary least square models were utilized further to check the robustness of the findings. Results Ordered probit results confirm that Facebook addiction increases the likelihood of having heightened depression among university students. Besides, sex, household income, and history of being infected by COVID-19 also appeared to be correlated with the depression level of the students. Conclusion Creating opportunities for students to participate in more physically demanding outdoor activities should be prioritized as it could ultimately enhance their capacity to mitigate depression. Appropriate measures must be taken to increase the number of recreational facilities on the campus for students, considering their age, gender, and preferences

Agricultural Diversification and intensification Project (ADIP) was the collaborative program of the Government of Bangladesh (GOB ) and donor agencies. The program was implemented in four district of Bangladesh in order to upgrade the living-standard of the poor people who were engaged in agricultural activities. This study took the initiative to assess the impact of microcredit on the living-standard in terms of household expenditure of the borrowers under ADIP’s fishery program. Primary data was collected from landless and marginal borrowers through a simple random sampling technique from the project areas who took loan for the first time for fisheries activities. Weighted Least Square (WLS) technique was used to examine the influence of socioeconomic variables on the dependent variable “household total expenditure”. The study shows that six variables such as household’s income, years of schooling of the borrowers, training, investment on fishery activities, expenditure on food, distance of rural market from borrower’s dwelling place were significantly related to the household’s total expenditure. The study also indicates that the fishery credit did not have any significant influence on borrowers’ living-standard in terms of household’s total expenditure

Ruthenium complexes:an alternative to platinum drugs in colorectal cancer treatment

    Get PDF
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the intimidating causes of death around the world. CRC originated from mutations of tumor suppressor genes, proto-oncogenes and DNA repair genes. Though platinum (Pt)-based anticancer drugs have been widely used in the treatment of cancer, their toxicity and CRC cells’ resistance to Pt drugs has piqued interest in the search for alternative metal-based drugs. Ruthenium (Ru)-based compounds displayed promising anticancer activity due to their unique chemical properties. Ru-complexes are reported to exert their anticancer activities in CRC cells by regulating different cell signaling pathways that are either directly or indirectly associated with cell growth, division, proliferation, and migration. Additionally, some Ru-based drug candidates showed higher potency compared to commercially available Pt-based anticancer drugs in CRC cell line models. Meanwhile Ru nanoparticles coupled with photosensitizers or anticancer agents have also shown theranostic potential towards CRC. Ru-nanoformulations improve drug efficacy, targeted drug delivery, immune activation, and biocompatibility, and therefore may be capable of overcoming some of the existing chemotherapeutic limitations. Among the potential Ru-based compounds, only Ru (III)-based drug NKP-1339 has undergone phase-Ib clinical trials in CRC treatment
