The Km-18 of Padang Bypass Road is an Arterial road class III-A. This road is burdened by heavy vehicles which carrying loads that exceed the permitted capacity. This activity can lead to road damage and a reduction in road life. This study aims to analyze the effect of traffic loads that exceed permitted capacity on road conditions, including the remaining life of the pavement and the degree of road damage. The primary data used is data on road damage conditions such as the discharge of road surface grains, potholes, and grooves. Secondary data used is in the form of LHR data for 2017 and 2018, also, the vehicle weight data obtained from P2JN West Sumatra Province. The analytical approach uses the 1993 AASHTO method in the form of a cumulative analysis of the 10-year ESAL plan, by the traffic design for flexible pavement. The result of this study indicates that the Km-18 of Padang Bypass Road has decreased 7.58% of its design life in 2020. The cumulative plan ESAL value is 70,792,016.05 and the cumulative ESAL overloading value is 192,394,000.9. The Truck factor (TF) in normal condition is 0.8176692, but in overloading condition, it is 6.1375255. The road life predicted to be ended in year 4 (in 2024), although it planned to end in 2027

Performance Analysis of Li-fi Communication System

Li-fi is a promising technology in today’s communication system. It may bringup the many benefits over other communication technologies. Since light isthe main source to provide data, and this is available everywhere around, itmay compete with other technologies that use radio communication. Thistechnology is completely a new way of communication. Therefore, it isimportant to study firstly the literature review of this new and emergenttechnology. Besides, some prototypes are designed corresponding to this Li-fitechnology. Since Path loss is one of the most important effects in the worldof communication, therefore, a prototype is designed where a proposedmodel is showed which represents the path loss propagation model. There areother prototypes are designed in which a Li-fi communication system has beenestablished using ASK modulation technique, a prototype of Data transmissionby sending bits ‘1’ and ‘0’ using LED (Light-emitting diode) and finally aprototype of the demonstration of indoor navigation that is associated with thetransmitter and the receiver, and the receiver locates the desired places using serial communication

Catharanthus roseus is an important medicinal plant commonly known as Madagasker periwinkle. Traditionally different parts of its used in the treatment of various diseases (e.g. diabetes, menstrual regulators, hypertension, cancer and antigalactogogue etc.) in number of countries. The essential oil of leaves and flowers of Catharanthus roseus growing in Bangladesh were investigated by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrophotometery (GC-MS) to determined the chemical composition of the volatile fraction and identify their chemotypes. Quantification of active principles through analytical tools is essential for establishing the authenticity and credibility. Extraction by steam distillation and analysis with GC-MS have been shown to be valuable tools for the identification of the constituents of essential oil of leaves and flowers of Catharanthus roseus and can provide a useful guide about the variation of the components. The main objective of the present study was focused on identification and quantification of chemical constituents present in the essential oil of leaves and flowers of Catharanthus roseus by GC-MS methods. 24 compounds consisting (95.99%) of the total for the case of leaves were identified. And total 10 compounds consisting (98.20%) of the total for the case of flowers of Catharanthus roseus were identified by GC-MS analysis in Bangladesh. For the case of leaves the identified components were : terpenoids (75.41%) , alkanes (6.0%) , aldehydes (5.5%), fatty acids (3.6 %), ketones (3.2%), alcohol (2.28%) respectively. For the case of flowers the identified components fatty acid esters (98.20) % respectively
