Increase of the Density, Temperature and Velocity of Plasma Jets driven by a Ring of High Energy Laser Beams
Supersonic plasma outflows driven by multi-beam, high-energy lasers, such as
Omega and NIF, have been and will be used as platforms for a variety of
laboratory astrophysics experiments. Here we propose a new way of launching
high density and high velocity, plasma jets using multiple intense laser beams
in a hollow ring formation. We show that such jets provide a more flexible and
versatile platform for future laboratory astrophysics experiments. Using high
resolution hydrodynamic simulations, we demonstrate that the collimated jets
can achieve much higher density, temperature and velocity when multiple laser
beams are focused to form a hollow ring pattern at the target, instead of
focused onto a single spot. We carried out simulations with different ring
radii and studied their effects on the jet properties. Implications for
laboratory collisionless shock experiments are discussed.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, Accepted to HED
Language and communication disorders associated with physiological aging
Introduction: In the process of physiological aging leads to changes related to human functioning. Modifications also apply to the sphere of cognitive and related competencies: language and communication. Ability to efficiently use speech and language at the age of senioralnym is important not only because of intellectual functioning, but also serves as pragmatic. Language is in fact an essential tool for building social relationships.
The aim of the study was to analysis of the literature on changes in language and communicative competence in the process of physiological aging.
Results: With age, the deterioration observed in language and communication skills of older people. In the area of language skills is observed senile changes at all levels of posts: phonological, syntactic and semantic. The elderly are observable phenomenon, which does not notice the earlier stages of life. In the statements of senior citizens should pay particular attention to phenomena such as TOT (tip-of-the-tongue) and OTV (off-target verbosity).
Summary: The speech of seniors is a reflection of changes occurring within the cognitive functions of both the basic and the higher ones. Research on the use of language by seniors are an interesting topic for an interdisciplinary group of specialists. In order to delay the aging process in the field of cognitive and linguistic advised to inspire the elderly to educational activity, providing them thus improving the quality of life
The influence of an intense laser beam interaction with preformed plasma on the characteristics of emitted ion streams
AbstractIntense laser-beam interactions with preformed plasma, preceding the laser-target interactions, significantly influence both the ion and X-ray generation. It is due to the laser pulse (its total length, the shape of the front edge, its background, the contrast, the radial homogeneity) as well as plasma (density, temperature) properties. Generation of the super fast (FF) ion groups is connected with a presence of non-linear processes. Saturated maximum of the charge states (independently on the laser intensity) is ascribed to the constant limit radius of the self-focused laser beam. Its longitudinal structure is considered as a possible explanation for the course of some experimental dependencies obtained

Homoclinic Chaos in Generalized Henon-Heiles System
This paper considers the generalized Henon-Heiles system, defined by the Hamiltonian Η = (p + p + Αq + Bq)/2 + Cqq + Dq. Melnikov's method is used to prove the existence of nondegenerate homoclinic orbits near two integrable cases: (o) C = 0; A, B, D arbitrary; (i) A = B; C = 3D. The existence of such orbits precludes the existence of analytic second integrals
