    Analysis on the Influence of Director Leadership Style to Patient Safety Culture in Hermina Pandanaran Hospital

    Hermina Pandanaran hospital had established a policy regarding patient safety program based onseven steps of patient safety. However, patient safety culture had not adequately performed. Objectiveof this study was to explain transformational leadership style of a director according to seven steps ofhospital patient safety in order to implement patient safety culture in Hermina Pandanaran hospital.This was a qualitative study. Main informants were a head and team member of hospital patientsafety; it included a hospital medical deputy director, a medical support manager, a nursing manager,a domestic affair manager, and PPI nurses. Triangulation informants were people who involved in the hospital patient safety program. Data management was done by applying content analysis method.Results of the study showed that transformational leadership style of a director involved staffs inthe implementation of patient safety culture especially none blaming culture and learning fromincident culture. However, reporting culture was not implemented properly. Seven steps of hospitalpatient safety were not done completely; staffs had not been motivated optimally, steps to managepatient safety incident were not described directly in the field, policy regarding patient safety wasnot established, risk management system was not developed, RCA training in the hospital was notimplemented.Suggestions for hospital director are to do more frequent socialization on reporting culture withstressing on non-blaming culture to staffs; to describe steps on the management of patient safetyincident and conducting risk assessment. Director is expected to go directly to the field and involvedin the patient safety round, and to establish a policy regarding patient safety education and trainingincluding RCA training. It could be in the form of decree in order the implementation of policy wasdone properly, and the results could be evaluated

    PENGARUH KUALITAS PELAYANAN TERHADAP KEPUASAN PELANGGAN PADA PT. MALIKA TOUR AND TRAVEL KOTA TANGERANG

    Abstract. Customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction are feelings of satisfaction or dissatisfaction wgit what is offered by consumers. Satisfied cunsumers will return to using the services the company provides. The method use in this study is an associative quantitative approach using validity, reliability, correlation analysis, normality test, simple linier regression, and t-test. The total population that the authors obtained in this study 3.000 congregations in August 2022 – March 2023. The sampling in this study was by using probabilty sampling technique and the slovin formula so that the sample obtained 97 respondent. The method used in this study is to use a validity test with an r table of 0,1996 and 20 statements have been declared valid. In the reliability test, the statements have been declared reliable with a critical value of > 0,60 which results in service quality of 0,976 and customer satisfaction of 0,964. The results of the correlation analysis of service quality have a significance value of 0,00 and customer satisfaction of 0,00 with a significance level of 0,60 yang mendapatkan hasil kualitas pelayanan sebesar 0,976 dan kepuasan pelanggan sebesar 0,964. Hasil analisis korelasi dari kualitas pelayanan mempunyai nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 dan kepuasan pelanggan sebesar 0,00 dengan tingkat signifikansi < 0,05 maka variabel tersebut dapat dinyatakan berkolerasi. Hasil uji normalitas menyatakan bahwa data terdistribusi secara normal karena titik yang menyebar disekitar garis diagonal serta mengikuti arah garis diagonal. Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan nilai konstanta -0,860 yang artinya nilai koefisien tersebut bernilai negatif. Hasil uji t- test diketahui bahwa variabel bukti fisik, jaminan, dan cepat tanggap memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadapkepuasan pelanggan karena nilai signifikansinya lebih kecil dari nilai alpha 0.05, sedangkan variabel perhatian, dan kehandalan yang diberikan PT. Malika Tour and Travel tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan.Kata kunci: Kualitas Pelayanan; Kepuasan Pelangga

    Characterisation of Maclura cochinchinensis (Lour.) Corner Trunk Heartwood Extract and its Toxicity Evaluation

    Introduction:  Maclura cochinchinensis is widely used as a natural dye for clothing in Indonesia. Besides, there are some researches about its activities as an antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antidiabetic. However, there is a lack of comprehensive information regarding the standard characteristics and safety of use of its heartwood extract. Therefore, this study aimed to characterize M. cochinchinensis heartwood extract and to evaluate its toxicity.  Method:  To obtain the extract, coarse powder of M. cochinchinensis heartwood was macerated using 70% ethanol and evaporated by vacuum rotavapor. Subsequently, phytochemical screening and thin-layer chromatography profiling were carried out, while the toxicity evaluation was conducted using brine shrimp lethality test. Results: The phytochemical screening showed that this extract contained flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids, triterpenoids, coumarins, and essential oils. The extract exhibited a dark brown colour, distinct odour, flavourlessness, the value of water-soluble content, ethanol-soluble extract content, loss on drying, moisture content, moisture content, total ash content, acid-insoluble ash content, and water-soluble ash content of 31.44%±1.31, 50.44%±8.48, 9.51%±0.32, 1.62%±0.48, 4.93%±0.27, 1.10%±0.11, 3.81%±0.19, respectively. The residual solvent and heavy metal contamination were undetectable. Microbial contamination was minimal and dominated by a semipolar compound, and brine shrimp assay indicated low toxicity with an LC50 value of 174.40 mg/L. Conclusion:  M. cochinchinensis heartwood extract has good quality and tends to be safe for the environment. This research obtained data that could be used as a supporting evidence for more specific utilization of M. cochinchinensis heartwood and its isolated compounds

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional direktur sesuai tujuh langkah keselamatan pasien rumah sakit dalam pelaksanaan budaya keselamatan pasien di RS Hermina Pandanaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Informan utama adalah ketua dan anggota tim Keselamatan Pasien Rumah Sakit meliputi wakil direktur medis, manajer penunjang medis, manajer keperawatan, manajer rumah tangga dan perawat PPI. Informan triangulasi pihak yang terkait dalam program keselamatan pasien rumah sakit. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui indepth interview dan observasi. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan metode analsis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional direktur telah melibatkan staf dalam menerapkan budaya keselamatan pasien, terutama non blaming culture dan budaya belajar dari insiden, tetapi budaya pelaporan belum berjalan dengan baik. Tujuh langkah keselamatan pasien RS belum dilaksanakan seluruhnya, yaitu belum memotivasi staf dengan optimal, menjabarkan langkah-langkah penanganan insiden keselamatan pasien secara langsung di lapangan, menetapkan kebijakan tentang diklat keselamatan pasien, mengembangkan sistem pengelolaan risiko, melaksanakan pelatihan RCA di rumah sakit. Disarankan agar direktur rumah sakit lebih sering melakukan sosialisasi budaya pelaporan kepada staf dengan menekankan non blaming culture, menjabarkan langkah-langkah penanganan insiden keselamatan pasien dan melaksanakan asesmen risiko. Direktur diharapkan turun langsung ke lapangan melalui ronde keselamatan pasien dan menetapkan kebijakan tentang diklat keselamatan pasien termasuk pelatihan RCA dalam bentuk Surat Keputusan agar berjalan sesuai ketentuan dan hasilnya dapat dievaluasi.
