The Procedural Aspect of the Rule of Law: India as a Case Study for Distinguishing Concept from Conception
In this thesis, the concept of the procedural aspect of the Rule of Law will be distinguished from what I argue are conceptions that are falsely promulgated as concept. The different aspects of the Rule of Law—form, substance, and procedure— are helpful in making the distinction between concept and conception. Examining procedure within the Rule of Law is particularly important, and I define a broader set of requirements of the concept of the procedural aspect of the Rule of Law. This concept is applied to understand the Indian conception of the Rule of Law, a particularly interesting case that brings out questions about culture and economic capacity. Ultimately, I argue that this broader set of requirements is better suited to evaluate the realization of the Rule of Law in all contexts
Research Into Technological Indicators of a Rye-wheat Dough Semi-finished Product with the Addition of the Polyfunctional Food Supplement "Magnetofооd"
We studied influence of the polyfunctional food supplement "Magnetofооd" on the technological parameters of rye-wheat dough semi-finished product and the finished product. A positive effect of the supplement "Magnetofооd" on the technological parameters of dough and the bread baked using it, is shown. It was established that adding the food supplement "Magnetofооd" in the amount of 0.15 % of the weight of flour reduces dough fermentation time by 13.0 on average %. The introduction of the food supplement "Magnetofооd" also increases the yield of a dough semi-finished product by 2.9 % on average and improves the yield of the finished product by 3.45 % on average. It was revealed that the multifunctional food supplement "Magnetofооd" enhances the quality of rye-wheat dough semi-finished product and the finished product due to its capacity of moisture retention and the inhibition of hydrolysis processes of the basic ingredients of dough. The obtained experimental data could be used to develop a technology of rye-wheat bread, enriched with the polyfunctional food supplement "Magnetofооd"

The impact of stripped Nuclei on the Super-Massive Black Hole number density in the local Universe
The recent discovery of super-massive black holes (SMBHs) in the centers of
high-mass ultra compact dwarf galaxies (UCDs) suggests that at least some UCDs
are the stripped nuclear star clusters of lower mass galaxies. Tracing these
former nuclei of stripped galaxies provides a unique way to track the assembly
history of a galaxy or galaxy cluster. In this paper we present a new method to
estimate how many UCDs host an SMBH in their center and thus are stripped
galaxy nuclei. We revisit the dynamical mass measurements that suggest many
UCDs have more mass than expected from stellar population estimates, which
recent observations have shown is due to the presence of an SMBH. We revise the
stellar population mass estimates using a new empirical relation between the
mass-to-light ratio (M/L) and metallicity, and use this to predict which UCDs
are most likely to host an SMBH. This enables us to calculate the fraction of
UCDs that host SMBHs across their entire luminosity range for the first time.
We then apply the SMBH occupation fraction to the observed luminosity function
of UCDs and estimate that in the Fornax and Virgo cluster alone there should be
stripped nuclei with SMBHs. This analysis shows that stripped
nuclei with SMBHs are almost as common in clusters as present-day galaxy
nuclei. We estimate the local SMBH number density in stripped nuclei to
, which represents a significant fraction (10-40\%)
of the SMBH density in the local Universe. These SMBHs hidden in stripped
nuclei will increase expected event rates for tidal disruption events and
SMBH-SMBH and SMBH-BH mergers. The existence of numerous stripped nuclei with
SMBHs are a direct consequence of hierarchical galaxy formation, but until now
their impact on the SMBH density had not been quantified.Comment: 15 pages, 8 Figures, accepted for publication in Ap
Analyzing the Interaction and Consequences of International Financial Merger & Acquisitions on Nonresident Alien Rates for Higher Education Leadership in the United States
The study used this data to determine the effect between time and merger status upon the DVs of revenue, fall enrollment rates, and nonresident alien rates beginning the AY of the Financial M&A event and 5 years after the event. The results of the study do indicate that nonresident alien rates did grow favorably over the five years for both Financial M&A HEIs and non-merging HEIs but that the interaction effect between time and merger status upon nonresident alien rates was not significant. This suggests that other factors caused growth in nonresident alien rates apart from M&A activity. Researchers have noted that globalization has become an increasing factor in higher education and that there exists increasing competition for nonresident alien students. Therefore, the most effective means of improving nonresident alien rates seems to lie somewhere other than Financial M&A initiatives
Desain Serial Tas Gadget Modular Material Ikat Sasak Kombinasi Kulit Berkonsep Tribal-Etnik untuk Masyarakat Modern
Beberapa produsen tas berpendapat kemunculan gadget mempengaruhi peningkatan penjualan tas.
EXPLORING ATTITUDES AND EXPECTATIONS OF INDONESIAN MUSLIM: A CASE OF UNTAPPED MARKET OF ISLAMIC PENSION FUND
Purpose of the study: This study aims to examine the factors of why the Muslim population is not having Islamic pension funds and to explore their expectation toward Islamic pension funds to make it a promising market in the near future.
Methodology: This study used a quantitative method with primary data through questionnaires distributed to 163 samples of the Muslim population in Indonesia. The Pearson correlation coefficient test is used to indicate normality and linearity. Meanwhile, the Kruskal Wallis test and two-tailed independent group t-tests are used to examine the hypotheses.
Main Findings: It is found that the low level of knowledge and trust toward Islamic pension funds are the two main reasons for not having Islamic pension funds. Meanwhile, the main society’s expectation is to have the allowance from the government and simple administrative procedures by having an automatic enrolment set by the government. In addition to that, female and higher income group is found to have a better attitude and expectation toward Islamic pension fund.
Applications of this study: The study provides a descriptive picture for the Islamic pension fund provider and government to set a product based on the Muslim attitude and expectation.
Novelty/Originality of this study: As far as we are concerned, there is only a small number of research on analyzing the demand of Islamic Pension Fund particularly in the largest Muslim population, this work is an attempt to fill in this gap
Effects of Mass Media and Cultural Drift in a Model for Social Influence
In the context of an extension of Axelrod's model for social influence, we
study the interplay and competition between the cultural drift, represented as
random perturbations, and mass media, introduced by means of an external
homogeneous field. Unlike previous studies [J. C. Gonz\'alez-Avella {\it et
al}, Phys. Rev. E {\bf 72}, 065102(R) (2005)], the mass media coupling proposed
here is capable of affecting the cultural traits of any individual in the
society, including those who do not share any features with the external
message. A noise-driven transition is found: for large noise rates, both the
ordered (culturally polarized) phase and the disordered (culturally fragmented)
phase are observed, while, for lower noise rates, the ordered phase prevails.
In the former case, the external field is found to induce cultural ordering, a
behavior opposite to that reported in previous studies using a different
prescription for the mass media interaction. We compare the predictions of this
model to statistical data measuring the impact of a mass media vasectomy
promotion campaign in Brazil.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures; minor changes; added references. To appear in
