Były to periodyki wydawane z różną częstotliwością (dwumiesięczniki, miesięczniki, dwutygodniki i tygodniki). Tadeusza Peche (2 artykuły) i ks. Leona Stasińskiego (11 artykułów). Problematykę, którą w nich poruszali, można generalnie sprowadzić do dwóch bloków zagadnieniowych: kościelnych (24 artykuły) i pozakościelnych (2 artykuły). Pierwszy z nich poruszał wątki zawiązane z administracją kościelną, duszpasterstwem, dziejami parafii i biografistyką. Drugi natomiast dotyczył kwestii społecznych i patriotycznych.
Liquid crystalline materials based on stable organic radicals constitute a unique class
of connections, which combine features typical for liquid crystals and magnetic properties characteristic
for open-shell systems of radicals. Selected issues regarding the fundamental properties of liquid crystals
including the influence of the molecular structure on the type and organization degree of liquid
crystalline phases are described in subsection 4.1. The introduction describes the basic properties of
organic radicals, their use as structural elements of self-organizing systems, and the main techniques for
studying magnetic properties and their analyses as well.
Among the wide range of stable radicals, the most commonly used in the design of liquid
crystals are heterocyclic radicals. The first works on paramagnetic liquid crystals come from
the mid-1970s, and are oriented to the use of π-localized aminoxyl radicals such as DOKSYL
and TEMPO. In next decades, attention was also paid to other liquid crystal nitroxyl radicals, such as
nitronyl-nitroxide and PROXYL derivatives, however, only in the latter ones it was possible to
successfully locate the heterocyclic radical in the center of the rigid core of the molecule, with
maintaining the liquid crystalline properties of the material. From the anisotropic properties (magnetic,
dielectric, etc.) point of view, placement of the radical in the central core favors the self-assembly of
paramagnetic fragments leading to effective spin-spin interactions in the LC phase.
This work briefly describes the achievements in the field of liquid crystal derivatives
of nitroxyl radicals, which are summarized in subsection 4.4.1. Pioneer studies on a new class
of paramagnetic liquid-crystalline 6-oxoverdazyl and 1,4-dihydrobenzo[e][1,2,4]triazin-4-yl radicals,
carried out in recent years in the team of prof. Piotr Kaszyński, showed interesting photoconductive
properties and strong and diverse magnetic interactions in the LC phase.
The most important information on both connection classes is provided in subsections 4.4.2 and 4.4.3.
The main goal of this doctoral thesis, toward to a new class of paramagnetic liquid crystal
materials based on π-delocalized radicals, was to design molecules to self-organizing their paramagnetic
fragments into liquid crystalline phases, their synthesis and physicochemical studies, with particular
emphasis on magnetic studies, and a thorough analysis of structure–liquid crystalline and magnetic
properties relationships. The most attention was paid to the development of the newly-known liquid
crystal derivatives of the 1,4-dihydrobenzo[e][1,2,4]triazin-4-yl, focused on achieving strong magnetic
interaction.
The assumption of the work was to provide valuable information how to obtain
the intended magnetic and photoconductive properties by modification of the molecular structure of
mesogens.1. Grant Preludium 13 (2018-2020) „Zależność stabilności fazy oraz właściwości magnetycznych

Time shift of wind influence on the movement of surface water masses in the Szczecin lagoon
PURPOSE: The study's specific objectives were to analyze the interaction between the
prevailing hydrometeorological conditions and the trajectory of water layer movement in the
Szczecin Lagoon (southern Baltic, Poland).DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: Research experiments verifying the drift movement
trajectory under various hydrometeorological conditions were carried out in the Szczecin
Lagoon. In the presented analysis, 17 fragments from ten drift trajectories were selected, in
which there was a clear time shift in the influence of the wind direction on the change of the
drifting direction. Statistical analysis of directional and linear data allowed us to link the
directions and speeds of drifters moving with the wind parameters recorded in two places,
Świnoujście and Trzebież, with an appropriate time shift.FINDINGS: As a result of the research, it was found that the change of the wind direction
influences the direction change of the flow of surface waters in the Szczecinski Lagoon with
an unavoidable delay. A significant correlation was found between the speed of changes in
the wind direction and the initial wind direction. A relationship was also shown between the
distance of the test site from the weather station and the registered wind direction change.ORIGINALITY/VALUE: The presented relationships between some fundamental processes in the
energy transfer between wind and water surface may be beneficial for the maritime
administration, which is responsible for the safety of navigation in the studied water area.
The analysis results can be used in SAR actions and to project the track of water pollutants. This research outcome has been achieved under research projects No

Probing and manipulating valley coherence of dark excitons in monolayer WSe
Monolayers of semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides are
two-dimensional direct-gap systems which host tightly-bound excitons with an
internal degree of freedom corresponding to the valley of the constituting
carriers. Strong spin-orbit interaction and the resulting ordering of the
spin-split subbands in the valence and conduction bands makes the lowest-lying
excitons in WX (X~being S or Se) spin-forbidden and optically dark. With
polarization-resolved photoluminescence experiments performed on a WSe
monolayer encapsulated in a hexagonal boron nitride, we show how the intrinsic
exchange interaction in combination with the applied in-plane and/or
out-of-plane magnetic fields enables one to probe and manipulate the valley
degree of freedom of the dark excitons.Comment: Manuscript: 6 pages, 3 figures; SM: 6 pages, 5 figure
Neutral and charged dark excitons in monolayer WS
Low temperature and polarization resolved magneto-photoluminescence
experiments are used to investigate the properties of dark excitons and dark
trions in a monolayer of WS encapsulated in hexagonal BN (hBN). We find
that this system is an -type doped semiconductor and that dark trions
dominate the emission spectrum. In line with previous studies on WSe, we
identify the Coulomb exchange interaction coupled neutral dark and grey
excitons through their polarization properties, while an analogous effect is
not observed for dark trions. Applying the magnetic field in both perpendicular
and parallel configurations with respect to the monolayer plane, we determine
the g-factor of dark trions to be -8.6. Their decay rate is close to 0.5
ns, more than 2 orders of magnitude longer than that of bright excitons.Comment: 6 pages, 6 figures, supplemental materia
The use of neural networks for modeling the movement of surface water masses in enclosed sea areas
PURPOSE: The article presents the use of neural networks to predict the parameters of the
movement of surface water masses in enclosed sea areas.DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: The input data were meteorological parameters recorded at
the stations Trzebież and Świnoujscie. The output data were the parameters of moving drifters,
obtained because of an experiment in 2018 in the waters of the Szczecin Lagoon. The model
uses Multi-Layer Perceptron networks with different activation functions. As a criterion for
selecting the best networks, the highest correlation statistics for the test and validation sample
were used.FINDINGS: As a result of the research, predictions of the speed and direction of surface water
masses were obtained based on the meteorological conditions recorded on the outskirts of the
studied reservoir.ORIGINALITY/VALUE: The presented research is a new application of artificial neural networks in
security in restricted waters. The results obtained in the study may be beneficial for the
maritime administration, which is responsible for the safety of navigation in the studied water
area. The model can be used to design a survivor's route or a contamination route. This research outcome has been achieved under research projects No

Evaluation of the efficacy and safety of AVANDIA (rosiglitazone) in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus : the ROSE trial
WSTĘP. Z punktu widzenia patogenetycznego obiecującą grupą leków w terapii cukrzycy typu 2 są tiazolidinediony - agoniści receptorów PPARg. Celem badania była ocena skuteczności i bezpieczeństwa stosowania rosiglitazonu (AVANDIA) w cukrzycy typu 2.
MATERIAŁ I METODY.
i ewentualnie podczas kolejnych wizyt zwiększano
obserwacji. Badanych podzielono na dwie grupy, ze
względu na medianę wyjściowej wartości HbA1c:
grupa A (n = 45, HbA1c £ 7,51%), grupa B (n = 44,
HbA1c > 7,51%).
WYNIKI. W grupie A średnia wartość HbA1c zmieniła
się z 6,77% na 7,28%, a w grupie B z 9,34% na 9,07%.
Stwierdzono statystycznie istotną różnicę między
zmianami (D) wartości HbA1c u pacjentów w grupach A i B (p = 0,0012). Obniżenie stężenia HbA1c
względem wartości wyjściowych stwierdzono
u 8 chorych w grupie A (17,8%) i u 24 chorych w grupie B (54,5%); p = 0,0003.
£ 125 mg/dl), niż w grupie A (n = 17, 37,8%);
p = 0,0224.
WNIOSKI.
źle wyrównaną cukrzycą typu 2 i zaburzeniami lipidowymi.
From the pathogenetic point of view
thiazolidinediones (PPARg agonists) appear to be the
promising group of drugs used in the treatment of
type 2 diabetes mellitus. The aim of the study was to analyze the efficacy and safety of rosiglitazone in
type 2 diabetes.
MATERIALS AND METHODS. We enrolled 120 patients
with insufficient control of glycaemia into the study, range of age was 40-65 years. Initially we started treatment with 4 mg of rosiglitazone once daily. The dose was increased on following visits due
to unsatisfactory glycaemia. We assessed HbA1c level and fasting insulinaemia at the study entry and
at the end of the study, after 6 months. We divided
patients into two groups due to median value of
initial HbA1c: group A (n = 45, HbA1c £ 7.51%), group B (n = 44, HbA1c > 7.51%).
RESULTS. In the group A the mean HbA1c value changed from 6.77% to 7.28%, and in the group B respectively from 9.34% to 9.07%. The difference between the changes of the HbA1c between group A
and B was statistically significant (p = 0.0012). The
decrease of the HbA1c during the study was observed in 8 patients from the group A (17.8%) and in
24 patients from the group B (54.5%), p = 0.0003.
At the final visit we found in the group B significantly more patients (n = 27, 61.4%), with LDL cholesterol below the median value (£ 125 mg/dl), than
in the group A (n = 17, 37.8%); p = 0.0224.
CONCLUSIONS. The best results of treatment with
rosiglitazone can be expected in the patients with
poor glycaemic and lipid control. In the study we
did not observe significant adverse events, what is
consistent with the observation that treatment with
rosiglitazone is safe if the known contraindications
are respected

Valley polarization of singlet and triplet trions in WS monolayer in magnetic fields
The spectral signatures associated with different negatively charged exciton
complexes (trions) in a WS monolayer encapsulated in hBN, are analyzed from
low temperature and polarization resolved reflectance contrast (RC) and
photoluminescence (PL) experiments, with an applied magnetic field. Based on
results obtained from the RC experiment, we show that the valley Zeeman effect
affects the optical response of both the singlet and the triplet trion species
through the evolution of their energy and of their relative intensity, when
applying an external magnetic field. Our analysis allows us to estimate a free
electron concentration of cm. The observed
evolutions based on PL experiments on the same sample are different and can
hardly be understood within the same simple frame highlighting the complexity
of relaxation processes involved in the PL response.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures; source file correcte
