    In This paper  the influence of heat transfer on peristaltic transport of Johnson Segalman fluid in an inclined asymmetric channel are investigated theoretically and graghically .Aregular perturbation method is used to obtain the analytical solutions for the streame functions, temperature fields, axial pressure gradient, and pressure rise.The effects of the physical parameters of the problem on these distributions are discussed and illustrated graphically through a set of figures.     Mixed culture of fishes in seasonal ponds through fertilization and feeding

    A study on mixed culture of mirror carp (Cyprinus carpio Lin.), tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus Lin.), silver carp (Hypophthalmicthys molitrix Val.) and Thai sharpunti (Puntius gonionotus Bleeker) in the ratio of 1:2:2:5 was conducted in 12 seasonal mini ponds (30 m² each) for 105 days. There were six treatments each with two replicates and each pond was stocked with a total of 100 fishes. Rice bran and mustard oil cake were used as supplemental feed either in combination or alone in presence or absence of fertilizer. Fertilizers were used in the form of organic, inorganic or both. The best growth performance of mirror carp, tilapia and Thai sharpunti was obtained in treatment III which received both fertilizer (organic+inorganic) and rice bran while the highest growth of silver carp was obtained in treatment VI receiving only inorganic fertilizer. However, the overall best production (2450 Kg/ha) and economic return for the culture period was obtained in treatment VI followed by treatment III. The results are discussed in the light of water quality parameters

    Association of Oral Contraceptives use with Breast Cancer and Hormone Receptor Status in Iraqi Women

    BACKGROUND: Worldwide, there is a significant concern regarding the association of breast cancer risk and oral contraceptives use. Differences in demographical and pathological breast cancer characteristics in Iraqi patients have been reported compared to other western countries; however, studies addressing the risk of breast cancer among oral contraceptive users in Iraq and subsequent correlation with hormonal receptor status are lacking. AIM: The aim of the study was to evaluate association of breast cancer risk and oral contraceptives use in patients visiting tertiary oncology center and to correlate hormone receptor status with history of oral contraception use in breast cancer patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Two hundred women with breast cancer were compared regarding patterns of oral contraceptives use with 300 age-matched healthy female controls by personal interview and questionnaire. Patient’s records were reviewed for hormone receptor status. RESULTS: A significantly higher proportion (49%) of women with breast cancer reported a positive history of combined oral contraceptives use as compared with (35.7%) healthy controls. Ever oral contraceptives users had a significantly increased risk of breast cancer (odds ratio [OR] = 1.73; 95%, confidence interval = 1.2–2.5, p = 0.003), with the highest risk was seen in early use before the age of 20 (OR = 6.62, p = 0.02); whereas increased duration of use did not significantly increase the risk of breast cancer. There was no significant association between estrogen and progesterone receptors expression profile in breast cancer patients and combined oral contraceptive use. CONCLUSION: In Iraqi women, the risk of breast cancer increases with oral contraceptives intake particularly when starts early before the age of 20 years. The hormonal receptor status of breast cancer patients is not significantly affected by combined oral contraceptives use

    Comparative Study to Measure the Quality of Big Scholarly Data and Its Hypothetical Mapping towards Granular Computing

    Nowadays, researchers are interested on granular computing in order to solve the big data problem. The volume of Big Scholarly Data (BSD) is rapidly growing. In order to evaluate the research performance, it’s becoming essential to evaluate the impact of BSD. Traditionally, journals have been ranked by their journal impact factor (JIF). However, several impact evaluation methods have been used by different BSD digital systems, such as the citation analysis, G-Index, H-index, i10-index, jurnal impact (JIF), and the Eigenfactor. In this paper, a detailed study of these different impact evaluation methods is shown along with their advantages and disadvantages. From this study, we can say that although the evaluation methods appear highly correlated but they lead to large differences in BSD impact evaluation. We conclude that no one evaluation method is superior and the present research gap is to develop standard rubrics and standard benchmarks in order to evaluate these existing methods. Furthermore, we have hypothetically modeled a new fuzzy granular approach as evolving structural fuzzy model (ESFM) which consider the concept of granular computing. Therefore, information granules exhibit the expressive and functional depiction of the global concept

    Effect of decapsulation on viability and hatching performance of Artemia cysts at different salinity levels

    Artemia cysts were produced from the traditional solar salt works of Bangladesh through different fertilization treatments were tested for viability and hatching performance in different forms, such as processed and preserved, processed and decapsulated and unprocessed and undecapsulated. Decapsulated cysts performed maximum hatching (86.0%) in 20ppt salinity during 48 hours of incubation. The hatching percentage by the unprocessed and undecapsulated cysts were very low (12.0- 18.7%) in all the tested salinity grades

    Russia–Ukraine crisis: The effects on the European stock market

    We examine the effect of the Russia–Ukraine crisis on the European stock markets. Because of increased political uncertainty, geographic proximity and the ramifications of the fresh sanctions imposed on Russia, the European stock markets tended to react negatively to this crisis. We find that on 21 February 2022, when Russia recognized two Ukrainian states as autonomous regions, European stocks incurred a significant negative abnormal return. Moreover, the negative stock price reactions continued in the post-event period. The magnitude of the stock price reactions to this crisis exhibits considerable variation across industries, countries and size of the company.© 2022 The Authors.     Nonexistence of nonzero derivations on some classes of zero-symmetric 3-prime near-rings

    We give some classes of zero-symmetric 3-prime near-rings such that every member of these classes has no nonzero derivation. Moreover, we extend the concept of “3-prime” to subsets of near-rings and use it to generalize Theorem 1.1 due to Fong, Ke, and Wang concerning the transformation near-rings M o (G) by using a different technique and a simpler proof.Наведено дєякі класи 3-простих майже-кілець з нульовою симєтрією таких, що будь-який елемент цих класів не має ненульової похідної.
