ObhájenoThe aim of this work is to develop an application that will display song lyrics with chords using a clear simple user interface. The application will use spectral analysis of the incoming sound to evaluate the chords in the played music. Based on the evaluated chords, the application will scroll the song lyrics synchronized with the chord accompaniment

    Manipulace a morální odpovědnost

In recent philosophy debates, conflicting views persist on the influence of manipulation on moral responsibility of individuals. One side sees manipulation as not different from any other deterministic environmental influence on the agent, others advocate for historicism - the idea of deviant causal route - if manipulation is present in the agent's history. Historicist account of moral responsibility is based on disruption of natural development, but this may not be trivial to detect in cases of covert non-constraining control and social conditioning. In addition, opinions on the resulting responsibility of the agent are influenced by intuitions on her identity, locus of control and nature of motivating reasons. The aim of this thesis is to map the recent debate and identify the factors playing the role while searching for the borderline of responsibility of the manipulated agent. Metrics of Growth Habit Derived from the 3D Tree Point Cloud Used for Species Determination-A New Approach in Botanical Taxonomy Tested on Dragon Tree Group Example

    Get PDF
Detailed, three-dimensional modeling of trees is a new approach in botanical taxonomy. Representations of individual trees are a prerequisite for accurate assessments of tree growth and morphological metronomy. This study tests the abilities of 3D modeling of trees to determine the various metrics of growth habit and compare morphological differences. The study included four species of the genus Dracaena: D. draco, D. cinnabari, D. ombet, and D. serrulata. Forty-nine 3D tree point clouds were created, and their morphological metrics were derived and compared. Our results indicate the possible application of 3D tree point clouds to dendrological taxonomy. Basic metrics of growth habit and coefficients derived from the 3D point clouds developed in the present study enable the statistical evaluation of differences among dragon tree species.O

World of Children as Media Users

    No full text
This dissertation consists of two parts - a theoretical and an analytical, empirical part. In the theoretical segment, there is a summary of theoretical knowledge about celebrities and their relationship to society and the public, a comparison between celebrities and real authorities, an overview of mass-communication and its influence on the socialisation of children and a series of advantages and disadvantages of the impact of mass-communication on children. The final stage of the theoretical segment characterises, from the point of view of developmental psychology, the two age groups that will be compared in the second segment. The empirical segment answers such questions as how much do children use media in their leisure time, what types of media are most popular amongst them, which celebrities do the children admire and why are these celebrities important for them in particular. The empirical segment is based on analysis of data taken from questionnaires created purposely for qualitative-quantitative research. These questionnaires were given to students in the 4th and 6th grades of an elementary school in Polepy in the Czech Republic (ages 10/11 and 12/13 respectively). The goal of this dissertation is to show the trending habits of children as mass- media users

This dissertation analyzes the trending habits of children as mass-media users. The goal of this dissertation is to show how children use massmedia, what does television mean to them and who are their favourite celebrities. The empirical segment is based on analysis of data taken from questionnaires created purposely for quantitative research. These questionnaires were given to students in the 6th grades of elementary schools and 1st grades of 8-year secondary grammar schools, both in Prague in the Czech Republic. At the beginning, there is a general theoretical part - an overview of mass-communication and its influence on the socialisation of children and a series of advantages and disadvantages of the impact of mass-communication on children and also characteristics of the age group of my respondents. The following text is divided in three parts that relate to three parts of the questionnaire. The first part analyzes how much children use media in their leisure time, what types of media are most popular amongst them. The second part focuses on television, what TV programmes are popular amongst children and why, if adolescents have something forbidden from their parents and what they think about watching television. And finally, the third part debates which celebrities our children admire,..
