    Az olyan társadalmi és gazdasági szempontból is kiemelt fontossággal bíró témában, mint a munkaerőpiac, foglalkoztatás elengedhetetlen, hogy a hivatalos statisztikai szolgálat rendszeresen elérhetővé tegyen részletes és releváns információkat. A Központi Statisztikai Hivatal havonta publikál adatokat a népesség gazdasági aktivitásáról, foglalkoztatottságáról. Emellett egy másik megközelítésben számszerűsíti a magyarországi foglalkoztatók meghatározott körénél dolgozókat is. A két statisztikai megközelítés egymás információtartalmának kiegészítésére szolgál, azonban az adatok értelmezésénél fontos tisztában lenni a számbavétel különbözőségeivel. A két adatforrásban rejlő lehetőségek magasabb fokú kihasználhatósága érdekében ezeket a főbb eltéréseket, illetve a szakstatisztikák jellemzőit mutatjuk be

    SignaFish: A zebrafish-specific signaling pathway resource

    Understanding living systems requires an in-depth knowledge of the signaling networks that drive cellular homeostasis, regulate intercellular communication, and contribute to cell fates during development. Several resources exist to provide high-throughput data sets or manually curated interaction information from human or invertebrate model organisms. We previously developed SignaLink, a uniformly curated, multi-layered signaling resource containing information for human and for the model organisms nematode Caenorhabditis elegans and fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. Until now, the use of the SignaLink database for zebrafish pathway analysis was limited. To overcome this limitation, we created SignaFish ( http://signafish.org ), a fish-specific signaling resource, built using the concept of SignaLink. SignaFish contains more than 200 curation-based signaling interactions, 132 further interactions listed in other resources, and it also lists potential miRNA-based regulatory connections for seven major signaling pathways. From the SignaFish website, users can reach other web resources, such as ZFIN. SignaFish provides signaling or signaling-related interactions that can be examined for each gene or downloaded for each signaling pathway. We believe that the SignaFish resource will serve as a novel navigating point for experimental design and evaluation for the zebrafish community and for researchers focusing on nonmodel fish species, such as cyclids

    The Past, Present and Future of the ELKH Cloud

    This review article summarizes the history the Hungarian Scientific Cloud Infrastructure project. This research infrastructure was launched officially on 1 October 2016, funded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. With the support of ELKH, the infrastructure’s capacity has been substantially boosted; the features and workflows that it offers to scientists were significantly expanded to celebrate the arrival of the year 2022. The article reviews the types of work Hungarian researchers implemented on the infrastructure, thereby providing an overview of the state of cloud-computing enabled science in Hungary

    A Formally Verified NAT

    We present a Network Address Translator (NAT) written in C and proven to be semantically correct according to RFC 3022, as well as crash-free and memory-safe. There exists a lot of recent work on network verification, but it mostly assumes models of network functions and proves properties specific to network configuration, such as reachability and absence of loops. Our proof applies directly to the C code of a network function, and it demonstrates the absence of implementation bugs. Prior work argued that this is not feasible (i.e., that verifying a real, stateful network function written in C does not scale) but we demonstrate otherwise: NAT is one of the most popular network functions and maintains per-flow state that needs to be properly updated and expired, which is a typical source of verification challenges. We tackle the scalability challenge with a new combination of symbolic execution and proof checking using separation logic; this combination matches well the typical structure of a network function. We then demonstrate that formally proven correctness in this case does not come at the cost of performance. The NAT code, proof toolchain, and proofs are available at https://vignat.github.io

    Observation of the Rare Decay of the η Meson to Four Muons

    A search for the rare η→μ+μ−μ+μ− double-Dalitz decay is performed using a sample of proton-proton collisions, collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC with high-rate muon triggers during 2017 and 2018 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 101  fb−1. A signal having a statistical significance well in excess of 5 standard deviations is observed. Using the η→μ+μ− decay as normalization, the branching fraction B(η→μ+μ−μ+μ−)=[5.0±0.8(stat)±0.7(syst)±0.7(B2μ)]×10−9 is measured, where the last term is the uncertainty in the normalization channel branching fraction. This work achieves an improved precision of over 5 orders of magnitude compared to previous results, leading to the first measurement of this branching fraction, which is found to agree with theoretical predictions

    Search for new physics in multijet events with at least one photon and large missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV

    A search for new physics in final states consisting of at least one photon, multiple jets, and large missing transverse momentum is presented, using proton-proton collision events at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 137 fb−1, recorded by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC from 2016 to 2018. The events are divided into mutually exclusive bins characterized by the missing transverse momentum, the number of jets, the number of b-tagged jets, and jets consistent with the presence of hadronically decaying W, Z, or Higgs bosons. The observed data are found to be consistent with the prediction from standard model processes. The results are interpreted in the context of simplified models of pair production of supersymmetric particles via strong and electroweak interactions. Depending on the details of the signal models, gluinos and squarks of masses up to 2.35 and 1.43 TeV, respectively, and electroweakinos of masses up to 1.23 TeV are excluded at 95% confidence level
