Aims: We investigate the signature of the photospheric albedo contribution in solar flare hard X-ray spectra, the effect of low energy cutoffs in electron spectra, and the directivity of hard X-ray emission.

Methods: Using Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) flare data we perform a statistical analysis of spatially integrated spectra and positions of solar flares.

Results: We demonstrate clear centre-to-limb variation of photon spectral indices in the 15-20 keV energy range and a weaker dependency in the 20-50 keV range which is consistent with photospheric albedo as the cause. The results also suggest that low-energy cutoffs sometimes inferred in mean electron spectra are an artefact of albedo. We also derive the anisotropy (ratio of downward/observer directed photons) of hard X-ray emission in the 15-20 keV range for various heliocentric angles.</p&gt

For several years, Czech mothers of young children have faced the same dilemma: their child, due to low capacity, was not accepted in a state Kindergarten and the family has to decide what to do next. Only few alternatives to a state-run pre-school day care exist in the Czech Republic, yet women are expected and willing to work. The conflict between paid work and family life is emphasized in academic as well as public debates and women are pressurized to choose either work or care/family. Alongside semi-permanent alternatives to Kindergarten child care, several families solve their situation on the permanent basis and opt for the life strategy of unschooling, rooted in the belief in symbiosis of family life, education of the children and paid work of the parents. Paper explores and for the first time ever describes unschooling as practiced in the conditions of the Czech Republic. It introduces the individual education right, under which the Czech parents can practice homeschooling. Key theoretical concepts applied are the habitus and cultural capital of P. Bourdieu, cultural theories of B. Pfau-Effinger and preference theories of C. Hakim.. It also lays out propositions for a primary research, as planned to take place in the following years

Family firms play an important role in the economy. Even they are more conservative than non-family firms, they monitor new trends like corporate social responsibility reporting as well. Studies on family business CSR reporting are not widespread. Because of this, the aim of paper was to find out whether and about what topics family firms disclose information, in what detail and where. Author analysed websites of the 30 Czech largest family firms using content analysis. Results show that family firms disclose more often information about their activities in the community and about their certification standards or more precisely about fulfilment of their commitments resulting from voluntarily accepted norms. If they decide to disclose CSR information, they often provide information in more detail. Information about their social responsibility behaviour is placed usually in the section called “About Us” most frequently in subsections and partly directly in the main body of the section.Family firms play an important role in the economy. From the long-term perspective, Europe as a whole has been described as the leader in reporting on socially responsible behaviour. European enterprises consider a compilation of CSR reports standard. Also, the quality of information provided is, compared to the surrounding regions, relatively high. However, several studies show that regional differences exist. In the Czech Republic, this type of reporting is still at the initial stage of development. Therefore, the first objective of the research is to find out whether Czech companies provide information about their social activities and what specific topics they prefer. The second objective is to determine what the quality of provided information is. To carry out this research, annual reports of 69 companies were assessed. The paper uses the method of conceptual content analysis. The results indicate that in their annual reports, companies tend to disclose issues beyond what is legally required. The most common reported topics concern the company’s direction, information that promote the credibility of information provided and the confidence in the good corporate governance. However, the results also show that the quality of information provided is not too high. From the long-term perspective, Europe as a whole has been described as the leader in reporting on socially responsible behaviour. Notothenioid fish were collected in the coastal part of the James Ross Island (Antarctica) mainly during Austral summer in 2012. In this paper, we report the list of species records and their basic biometric measurements as a reaction to missing ichthyofaunal investigation of this particular area. Collected fishes belong to the families Nototheniidae (Trematomus bernacchii Boulenger, 1902; T. eulepidotus Regan, 1914; T. newnesi Boulenger, 1902; Gobionotothen gibberifrons (Lönnberg, 1905); Notothenia coriiceps Richardson, 1844) and Bathydraconidae (Gymnodraco acuticeps Boulenger, 1902)
