Finite-element simulations of hysteretic ac losses in a magnetically coated superconducting tubular wire subject to an oscillating transverse magnetic field
Numerical simulations of hysteretic ac losses in a tubular
superconductor/paramagnet heterostructure subject to an oscillating transverse
magnetic field are performed within the quasistatic approach, calling upon the
COMSOL finite-element software package and exploiting
magnetostatic-electrostatic analogues. It is shown that one-sided magnetic
shielding of a thin, type-II superconducting tube by a coaxial paramagnetic
support results in a slight increase of hysteretic ac losses as compared to
those for a vacuum environment, when the support is placed inside; a
spectacular shielding effect with a possible reduction of hysteretic ac losses
by orders of magnitude, however, ensues, depending on the magnetic permeability
and the amplitude of the applied magnetic field, when the support is placed
outside.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figure

A classification of emerging and traditional grid systems
The grid has evolved in numerous distinct phases. It started in the early ’90s as a model of metacomputing in which supercomputers share resources; subsequently, researchers added the ability to share data. This is usually referred to as the first-generation grid. By the late ’90s, researchers had outlined the framework for second-generation grids, characterized by their use of grid middleware systems to “glue” different grid technologies together. Third-generation grids originated in the early millennium when Web technology was combined with second-generation grids. As a result, the invisible grid, in which grid complexity is fully hidden through resource virtualization, started receiving attention. Subsequently, grid researchers identified the requirement for semantically rich knowledge grids, in which middleware technologies are more intelligent and autonomic. Recently, the necessity for grids to support and extend the ambient intelligence vision has emerged. In AmI, humans are surrounded by computing technologies that are unobtrusively embedded in their surroundings.
However, third-generation grids’ current architecture doesn’t meet the requirements of next-generation grids (NGG) and service-oriented knowledge utility (SOKU).4 A few years ago, a group of independent experts, arranged by the European Commission, identified these shortcomings as a way to identify potential European grid research priorities for 2010 and beyond. The experts envision grid systems’ information, knowledge, and processing capabilities as a set of utility services.3 Consequently, new grid systems are emerging to materialize these visions. Here, we review emerging grids and classify them to motivate further research and help establish a solid foundation in this rapidly evolving area
Analisis Bibliometrik dalam Penelitian Bidang Pendidikan: Teori dan Implementasi
Bibliometrics is an analysis method that uses Mathematical and statistical tools to measure the interrelationships and impact of publications in a particular research area. Bibliometric analysis is a popular method used to analyze large amounts of scientific data and this analysis is rigorous in nature with the aim of exploring that data. The use of this analysis in research allows researchers to uncover the evolutionary nuances of a particular field, while highlighting emerging areas in that field, including the field of education. In this paper, the researcher will use a type of literature research or literature review with the descriptive research method, which is to describe regularly and in detail the data obtained related to the bibliometric method, so that finally the readers get a clear understanding of the descriptions and explanations presented. The focus of this study is on the fundamental question in research methodology, which is what is bibliometric analysis and how is it used in education research? What are the key metrics and indicators used in bibliometric analysis for education research? What are the challenges and limitations associated with using bibliometric analysis in education research? And the final question is what are the best practices for conducting bibliometric analysis in education research

The Relationship Between Participation in Extracurricular Activities and Academic Achievement of FIK Uncen Students Class of 2017
The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of participation in extracurricular activities with the academic achievement of FIK Uncen students class 2017. The reason behind the researcher lifting the title of this research is because students' interest in extracurricular is so low. In essence, where extracurricular activities have a relationship with academic achievement. This research includes correlational research. The sample in this study were FIK Uncen 2017 students, totaling 26 people. There are two data collection instruments used, namely questionnaires used to measure participation in extracurricular activities and documentation (Study Results) to see the academic achievements of FIK Uncen 2017 students. The data collection techniques used were in three stages, namely interviews, distributing questionnaires, and achievement data. academic. There are two stages of data analysis technique, namely expert judgment validity testing and hypothesis testing with product moment correlation with the help of the SPSS version 22.0 program. The results showed that the p value of 0.036 was smaller than the alpha value (α) of 0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between participation in extracurricular activities and academic achievement of FIK Uncen students class 2017
