    Phase Space Analysis and Thermodynamics of Interacting Umami Chaplygin gas in FRW Universe

    In this work interacting Umami Chaplygin gas has been studied in flat FRW model of universe in context of it's thermodynamic and dynamical behaviour. In particular, considering Umami fluid as dark energy interacting with dark matter, irreversible thermodynamics has been studied both for apparent and event horizon as bounding horizon in two separate cases. Also the model has been investigated in purview of dynamical systems analysis by converting the cosmological evolution equations to an autonomous system of ordinary differential equations. With some restrictions on model parameter ω\omega and coupling parameter λ\lambda, some cosmologically interesting critical points describing late time accelerated evolution of the universe attracted by cosmological constant and accelerated scaling attractor in quintessence era have been found to alleviate coincidence problem.Comment: Accept 16 pages, 8 figure

    Design and Development of an Energy Efficient Multimedia Cloud Data Center with Minimal SLA Violation

    Multimedia computing (MC) is rising as a nascent computing paradigm to process multimedia applications and provide efficient multimedia cloud services with optimal Quality of Service (QoS) to the multimedia cloud users. But, the growing popularity of MC is affecting the climate. Because multimedia cloud data centers consume an enormous amount of energy to provide services, it harms the environment due to carbon dioxide emissions. Virtual machine (VM) migration can effectively address this issue; it reduces the energy consumption of multimedia cloud data centers. Due to the reduction of Energy Consumption (EC), the Service Level Agreement violation (SLAV) may increase. An efficient VM selection plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability between EC and SLAV. This work highlights a novel VM selection policy based on identifying the Maximum value among the differences of the Sum of Squares Utilization Rate (MdSSUR) parameter to reduce the EC of multimedia cloud data centers with minimal SLAV. The proposed MdSSUR VM selection policy has been evaluated using real workload traces in CloudSim. The simulation result of the proposed MdSSUR VM selection policy demonstrates the rate of improvements of the EC, the number of VM migrations, and the SLAV by 28.37%, 89.47%, and 79.14%, respectively

    History and/through Oral Narratives: Relocating Women of the 1971 War of Bangladesh in Neelima Ibrahim’s A War Heroine, I Speak

    In the postmodern era, one of the primary objectives of oral narratives is to tell the untold stories of history. Amidst the allegations that historical representation of war narratives, tend to be gendered and biased, these oral narratives of women offer not only a fresh perspective to the wars like the 1971 war of Bangladesh, the Sri Lankan Civil War (1983 – 2009) and the Kashmir Insurgency (1989 – present), but also become their own version of pain, suffering, prejudice, and plight. In that sense, they become the voice of the voiceless, giving the victims a chance to assert themselves, despite their subaltern position. They also converge as tools to reinvestigate or rather question the representation of war history and the politics of submerging women in traditional documented historiography. In the context of the 1971 war of Bangladesh, Neelima Ibrahim’s Aami Birangana Balchi (first published in Bengali in 1994, translated in English as A War Heroine, I Speak by Fayeza Hasanat in 2017), was the first narrative of its own kind that addressed victimization and survival of the Biranganas or literal brave heroines of the 1971 war. Ibrahim, being an active member of the humanitarian group ‘Bangladesh Women’s Rehabilitation and Welfare Foundation’ was a close observer of their struggle and thus, she recorded their narratives and published it. In a theoretical framework, where oral narratives play a seminal role in this sort of representations, this paper will broadly discuss Neelima Ibrahim’s narratives of Biranganas of the 1971 war of Bangladesh

    Gravitationally induced matter creation and cosmological consequences

    In this work, a two-fluid interacting model in a flat FLRW universe has been studied considering particle creation mechanism with a particular form of particle creation rate Γ=Γ0H+Γ1H\Gamma=\Gamma_0 H+\frac{\Gamma_1}{H} from different aspects. Statistical analysis with a combined data set of SNe Ia (Supernovae Type Ia) and Hubble data is performed to achieve the best-fit values of the model parameters, and the model is compatible with current observational data. We also perform a dynamical analysis of this model to get an overall qualitative description of the cosmological evolution by converting the governing equations into a system of ordinary differential equations considering a proper transformation of variables. We find some non-isolated sets of critical points, among which some usually are normally hyperbolic sets of points that describe the present acceleration of the Universe dominated by dark energy mimicking cosmological constant or phantom fluid. Scaling solutions are also obtained from this analysis, and they can alleviate the coincidence problem successfully. Finally, the thermodynamic analysis shows that the Generalized second law of thermodynamics is valid in an irreversible thermodynamic context.Comment: 26 pages, 14 captioned figure

    Retroperitoneal liposarcoma is an uncommon malignant mesenchymal tumour of adipocytic differentiation. Giant retroperitoneal liposarcoma is a rare entity which achieves such a large tumour bulk without any significant clinical symptoms due to deep seated location of the tumour. Though incidence of distant metastasis is less but local recurrence is fairly common. Surgical management is the key of management in retroperitoneal liposarcoma in spite of its large size and local invasion to vital organs. We are reporting a case of giant retroperitoneal liposarcoma of 27.5 Kg in a 45 year old female patient
