    Internalization of Conservation Values in Forming Green Consumption Attitude

    The research aims to know a friendly environmental governance system. One sector of economic governance can certainly be initiated through green consumption. The focus of the problem was the green consumption education. This research was conducted by using qualitative approach in order to reveal how the process of conservation education in the Faculty of Economics in fostering behaviors that tend to conserve the consumption behavior in this case the green consumption attitude. The collecting data of research used observation, documentation and interview. This research uncovers how the conservation education is able to shape and build the green consumption attitudes that exist among the students from planning process, implementation, and evaluation of conservation education on the aspects of green consumption. Internalization of conservation value performed by the educators (in this case the lecturers at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang) runs well enough

    The purpose of this study was to determine whether inventory records in the implementation of internal control has been reliably. Authors proposed hypothesis is: "inventory accounting records in the implementation of internal control has not been reliably.     Determination of Catechin Content in Gambir Powder from Dried Gambir Leaves Quickly using FT NIR PLS Model

    Conventional production process of gambir often produces gambir with low content of catechin. Engineering of production processes of gambir leaves to produce gambir powder has been developed by previous researchers. The objective of this study was to develop a calibration model to predict the content of catechin in gambir powder from dried gambir leaves quickly using FT-NIR PLS model.  Reflectance spectra of gambir powder from dried gambir leaves obtained at a wavelength of 1000 to 2500 nm. Spectra pre-processing treatment method used was a combination between normalization between 0 and 1 (n01) method and first derivative Savitzky-Golay 9 points (dg1). The result showed that correlation coefficient and standard error of prediction (SEP) were 0.99 and 2.10 % respectively, obtained when used 6 factors of partial least square (PLS). Calibration model developed has shown higher accuracy and precision to predict catechin content of gambir powder from dried gambir leaves

    Xylanase is an extracellular enzyme produced bymicroorganisms. This enzyme is able to hydrolise xylane(hemicellulose) to produce xylooligosaccharide and xylose.Thermoalkaliphilic xylanase is an agent that can be used asa substitute in the pulp whitening process instead of chlorine.A study was done to isolate, identificate of bacteria andcharacterize xylanase. The isolation of xylanase producingbacteria has been done from soil and waste of starch industry.Colonies which produced clearing zone were presumedas xylanolytic bacteria and chosen for further screening.Identification of potential isolate in xylanase production wasdone using 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing. Isolate Bacilluspumilus RXA-III5 originated from lime or alkaline soil wasmore potential isolate in xylanase production than other 24isolates. Precipitation of xylanase, that was done usingammonium sulphate followed by dialyzes produced xylanaseof a higher specific activity (267.1 U.mg-1) than that usingacetone (131.1 U.mg-1) and ethanol (186.65 U.mg-1). Xylanasewas done at purification produced three fractions of xylanase.Xylanase characteristics consist of pH and temperature(9 and 50oC), Km and Vmaks value 6 mg.ml-1 and 0.2mol.minute-1, respectively.     Pengaruh Pemberian Dua Jenis Mulsa Dan Tanpa Mulsa Terhadap Karakteristik Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Cabai Merah (Capsicum Annum L) Pada Dataran Rendah

    Cabai (Capsicum annuum L.) merupakan komoditas sayuran yang mempunyai prospek cerah untuk dapat dikembangkan. Permintaan produk cabai cenderung terus meningkat. Nilai ekonomi yang tinggi merupakan daya tarik pengembangan budidaya cabai bagi petani. Untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar yang semakin meningkat dan pemenuhan gizi masyarakat, banyak USAha yang dapat dilakukan guna peningkatan produksi cabai merah yang tinggi. Salah satu USAha yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan teknik budidaya yang baik dan benar sehingga hasil yang diperoleh optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dua jenis mulsa dan tanpa mulsa terhadap karakteristik pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai merah, (2) mengetahui jenis mulsa yang menghasilkan karakteristik pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai merah yang terbaik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Suka Banjar, Gedong Tataan pada bulan Oktober 2011– April 2012. Penelitian ini disusun dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga perlakuan (tanpa mulsa, mulsa plastik, mulsa jerami) dan tiga ulangan. Homogenitas ragam diuji dengan uji Bartlett. Jika asumsi terpenuhi, dilanjutkan dengan sidik ragam dan apabila hasil uji F nyata maka dilakukan uji lanjut menggunakan uji ortogonal kontras pada taraf 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1)Pemberian mulsa plastik hitam perak dan jerami menunjukkan pengaruh terhadap karakteristik tanaman cabai yang berbeda dibandingkan tanpa mulsa, yaitu pada variabel tinggi tanaman dan tingkat percabangan, (2 Penggunaan mulsa plastik lebih baik daripada mulsa jerami untuk produksi tanaman cabai

    The objective of this resarch has been to examine the utilization of hydrolysed sago starch as main substrate to produce PHA by Ralstonia eutropha using fed batch cultivation method. The results show that the hydrolysed sago starch can be used as carbon source for the production of PHA by Ralstonia eutropha. A higherformation and accumulation of PHA can be achieved through feeding of hydrolysed sago starch in a fedbatch cultivation method. The best treatment can increase the specific product yield up to 76.54% and product concentration up to 3.72 g/L

    Pengaruh Ekstrak Steroid Teripang Pasir (Holothuria Scabra) Terhadap Perilaku Seksual Dan Kadar Testosteron Darah Mencit (Mus Musculus)

    Teripang diketahui mengandung berbagai jenis bahan aktif yang sangat berguna bagi manusia. Masyarakat sekitar pantai meyakini teripang dapat dijadikan makanan yang dapat meningkatkan vitalitas laki-laki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi teripang sebagai aprodisiaka dengan mempelajari pengaruh ekstrak steroid teripang pasir terhadap perilaku seksual mencit jantan. Perlakuan yang dikaji adalah pemberian ekstrak steroid pada tingkat dosis pemberian 10, 30, dan 50 ìg/100 g bobot badan, sebagai kontrol digunakan perlakuan tanpa pemberian hormon dan pemberian metil testosteron. Pemberian ekstrak dilakukan selama 12 hari. Pengamatan yang dilakukan meliputi perilaku seksual dan kadar testosteron. Perilaku seksual yang diamati meliputi aktifitas kissing vagina dan mounting yang dilakukan satu jam setelah pemberian ekstrak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa pemberian ekstrak steroid tidak dapat meningkatkan perilaku seksual mencit. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh tidak berbedanya frekuensi perilaku kissing vagina dan mounting dibandingkan dengan kontrol, akan tetapi pemberian ekstrak steroid teripang dapat meningkatkan kadar testosteron dalam darah hewan percobaan
