The goal of this research is to elicit whether there is positive impact on the increase of competency toward working effectiveness. The object of this research is employees at the Secretariate Directorate General of Human Resources and Post and Informatic Devices (Secretariat General SDPPI). Variable indicator of the competence studies includes knowledge, ability and attitude. Data analysis to test the hypothesis is done using multiple linear regression, determination coefficient, F-test and T-test analysis. From the three independent variables that were individually tested, the most dominant compensation that affects work effectiveness of workers is knowledge, with a coefficient of 0.366. F-test analysis showed that knowledge, ability and attitude, all together has positive effect toward workers' work effectiveness

This study aims to determine both the Springate model, Grover and Zmijewski able to predict the condition of financial distress in finance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. And of the three models can be known which model is the most accurate in predicting financial distress. The population in this study are companies in the financing sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2013 to 2017 as many as 17 companies. By using purposive sampling technique, a total sample of 85 financing companies was obtained. The data used are secondary data sourced from the company's annual financial reports. The analysis model used is logistic regression. Simultaneously, all predictive models for Springate, Zmijewski, and Grover affect the probability of financial distress. While partially only Zmijewski can influence the prediction of financial distress conditions in Financing sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Nagelkerqe Square value shows 0.606 meaning that only 60.6% variation of the accuracy of these three models in predicting financial distress conditions of finance companies. While the remaining 39.4% can be explained by other models not examined in this stud

This paper reports on an on-going research and development effort in remote surface inspection of space platforms such as the Space Station Freedom (SSF). It describes the space environment and identifies the types of damage for which to search. This paper provides an overview of the Remote Surface Inspection System that was developed to conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations and to perform experiments in a laboratory environment. Specifically, the paper describes three technology areas: (1) manipulator control for sensor placement; (2) automated non-contact inspection to detect and classify flaws; and (3) an operator interface to command the system interactively and receive raw or processed sensor data. Initial findings for the automated and human visual inspection tests are reported

Background: The prevalence of non-communicable diseases in Malaysia are still rising, despite a slight increase in the prevalence of physical activity from 64.8% to 66.5% according to National Health and Morbidity Surveys 2011 and 2015. This rising trend is mostly related to environmental, socio-economic changes in relation to the development of a country. Determining the gap and improving the environmental health policy and strategy would be helpful for the community. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in the Universiti Putra Malaysia from September 2015 to May 2016.The sample size was calculated by using two-proportion formula and the proportionate stratified sampling method was used in this study. The short version of International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used for physical activity measurement and the Physical and Social Environmental Scales (PASES) was used to measure the physical and social environmental factors. Result: The prevalence of physical activity participation in this study was 72.2%. The majority of the respondents were below 24 years of age (61. 4%), female (63.8%) and Malay (75.1%). The female respondents were less likely to participate in physical activity than male (p= 0.01) (OR= 0.558; CI: 0.358-0.869). The respondents who agreed to have poor neighbourhood safety (p=0.034) (OR=0.623; CI: 0.403-0.965) and good social cohesion (p=0.005) (OR= 1.956; CI: 1.23 - 3.11) were more physically active. Conclusion: The predictors of physical activity participation were female, the neighbourhood safety, and social cohesion
