Algebraic grid adaptation method using non-uniform rational B-spline surface modeling

    Get PDF
An algebraic adaptive grid system based on equidistribution law and utilized by the Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) surface for redistribution is presented. A weight function, utilizing a properly weighted boolean sum of various flow field characteristics is developed. Computational examples are presented to demonstrate the success of this technique

Analysis of Different Routing Algorithm for 2D-Torus Topology NoC Architecture under Load Variation

The recital of Network-on-Chip (NoC) depends on the underlying routing techniques. There are a lot of requirements that has to be met. Such performance metrics are minimum latency, least power and maximum throughput. This paper deals with XY route, PROM routing, FTXY routing and DyAD routing on 5x5 2D torus topology. The simulation is performed on nirgam NoC simulator version 2.1 for constant bit rate traffic condition. The simulation results reveals the dominance of XY, PROM, FTXY and DyAD algorithms depicting the minimum values of overall average latency per channel (in clock cycles per flit) as 0.409836 overall average latency per channel (in clock cycles per packet) as 6.2535, average throughput as 16.68, and total network power as 35.6768 mw, achieved for FTXY routing algorithm

Naphtha Reduction of Iron Ores to Sponge Iron in Continuous Vertical Reactor

    Get PDF
The development of a process of sponge iron production by naphtha, a petroleum by-product, in a continuous 90mm I.D. vertical reactor is discussed. The process, the equipment and the operational parameters, the results of the campaigns with various iron ores pellets are described. Sized iron ore fines from two deposits were directly reduced by petroleum naphtha to sponge iron at a temperature of about 1000 deg. C. maintaining naphtha injection at different controlled flow rates. The movement of solids in the reactor column was also controlled to obtain predetermined residence times.producing 70-100 kgs of sponge iron per day. Under optium conditions 98 percent metallization was obtained. The results are discussed in the light of efficiency of the reductant and the economics of the process

India is bestowed with rich aquatic resources, both marine and freshwater. These provide an increasing scope for stepping up fish production. So much so, Indian seafood industry achieved a remarkable place in the world seafood trade (Rs.6300 crores, MPEDA, 2001)

Service Recommendation System using Social User’s Rating Behaviors

    Get PDF
The research communities of information retrieval, machine learning and data mining are recently started to paying attention towards Service recommendation systems. Traditional service recommendation algorithms are often based on batch machine learning methods which are having certain critical limitations, e.g., mostly systems are so costly also new user needs to pay the certain cost for new login, can’t capture the changes of user preferences over time. So that to overcome from that problem it is important to make service recommendation system more flexible for real world online applications where data arrives sequentially and user preferences may change randomly and dynamically. This system present a new website of online social recommendation on the basis of online graph regularized user preference learning (OGRPL), which incorporates both collaborative user-services relationship as well as service content features into an unified preference learning process. Also provide aggregated services in only one application (social networking) which increases user’s interest towards the services. This system also provides security about subscribed services as well as documents/photos on online social network application. This system will utilizes services like Education, adventure, Home Services, Hotels & Travel, Restaurants and Shopping

Responsible fisheries and sustainable aquaculture - A pledge for 21st century

    Get PDF
The beginning of the new millennium century the next millennium looks not only to secure enough food for the existing population but also to provide a guarantee to sustained food availability for future generation. Though scientific aquaculture has substituted the traditional practices in a big way, it cannot be fully relied upon to meet the demands of future generation. This is due to the fact that continued over fishing, heavy intensification of farms in localized areas, degradation of aquatic environment etc will put insurmountable strain on the fishery sector which is capable enough for a sustainable food supply

ENDOCRINOLOGICAL ROLE OF LEPTIN IN OBESITY AND ASTHMA

    Get PDF
Objective: Role of leptin resistance in correlation between obesity and asthma. Methods: High-caloric diet was given for 8 weeks to induce obesity. Ovalbumin followed by aluminum hydroxide was given to induce asthma. The animal was treated with leptin analog (0.4 mg/kg, i.p. for 7 days) and leptin antagonist (3 mg/kg, p.o., for 7 days). Biochemical parameters such as serum leptin, ghrelin, and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) and physical parameters such as tidal volume and airflow rate were estimated to confirm the state of asthma and obesity, respectively. Results: It was found that leptin and ghrelin were elevated in obese and obese asthmatic condition, responsible for leptin resistance. Treatment with leptin analog and leptin antagonist significantly increases and decreases serum leptin levels, respectively. There was no significant change in TNF-α and ghrelin level after leptin analog treatment. The result of respiratory parameters improved with leptin analog. From our study, we found beneficial role of leptin analog in obese asthmatic condition. Conclusion: Leptin is an alternative treatment approach to treat obese asthmatic condition

Large Tree Level CP Violation in e+ettˉH0e^+e^-\to t\bar{t}H^0 in The Two Higgs Doublet Model

We find a large CP violation effect within the Two-Higgs-Doublet-Model for the reaction e+ettˉH0e^+e^-\to t\bar{t}H^0 at future linear colliders. The CP-asymmetry arises already at the tree level as a result of interference between diagrams with H0H^0 emission from tt (and tˉ\bar{t}) and its emission from a Z0Z^0 and can be about 10--20\%. In the best case one needs a few hundred ttˉH0t\bar{t}H^0 events to observe CP violation at the 3σ\sigma level.Comment: UU encoded tar compressed tex file with postscript figure
