Empowering Democracy: A Robust and Secure Online Election System

    Get PDF
Every democracy and organization’s hallmark are the voting system. The absentee ballot which India has been using have proved to be defective and even ineffective since they require a large manpower, taking longer processing time for the publication of results. Accordingly, to eliminate such flaws from the system, these amendments are implemented in the systems that could circumvent these considerable disadvantages. Physical presence as a criterion is also eliminated by the new method, hence decreasing overall complexity. The country has been undergoing significant changes since 2014 especially the use of online voting to control and manage elections. The system may help to achieve a better performance and enhance the overall voter numbers. On the one hand, it has a positive side in terms of protecting privacy and providing authentic information. The primary points describing security include minimization emerges as everyone’s motive. In our research paper, we conducted an analysis of this system that involves three stages of authentication for guaranteeing the reliability and validity are utilized in the entire voting procedure. A process begins with voter card verification, then comes the second and third level- Aadhar verification and face verification respectively

In this way, folk literature, which is unwritten literature, reflects human feelings. A man expresses his subconscious thoughts and beliefs through folk literature. Mythical Reverence and Rational Reasoning Towards Nature: A discussion

The ancient art of storytelling is flavoured with numerous myths. Literature reflects this in various forms of writing. One can find numerous myths in association with religion and culture. Primitive men worshipped nature, as it seemed to be superior to human power. They looked at the environment in awe. And myths prevailed on nature in the ancient era. Later on, men raised questions against these myths based on scientific arguments. They found that these myths were laid to preserve nature. Humans need a healthy environment to live a healthy life. Thus it is mandatory for them to safeguard it. With time humans started disregarding these myths saying that science is more important. Thus the reverence towards nature is also neglected which leads to disrespect and carelessness towards the environment. The present paper focuses on the myths prevalent in Southern India with particular reference to Tamil literature and also points out the mythical reason behind preserving nature. It explores how the human race failed to safeguard nature by neglecting the ancient myths. It attempts to prove that science is there to restore the environment and not to degrade

Impact of multi mix herbicide on growth and weed indices in irrigated groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

Food and nutritional security for the country India depends on the agriculture sector. Groundnut is an important food legume cum oilseed crop and weed infestation is the major problem causing yield reduction. Therefore, the field experiment study was conducted during the winter season of 2022 at Central farm, Agriculture College and Research Institute in Madurai to evaluate the newer multi-mix herbicide combinations and find out the appropriate weed management practices for yield enhancement and weed suppression in irrigated groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.). The experiment consisted of twelve treatments (T1 to T12) laid out in a randomized complete block design. Among the weed flora, almost two third of the weed infestation was documented as broad-leaved weeds (51%), followed by grassy weeds (36%) and less infestation by sedges (13%) in groundnut at the experimental site. Application of pre-emergence alone and post-emergence alone does not suppress the weed infestation efficiently. For that, this study focused on using multi-mixed herbicides along with hand weeding to determine herbicide's efficacy on weed control and growth parameters. Among the weed control methods, weed-free check (T12) increased the growth parameters viz., Plant height (65.3 cm), Leaf Area Index (4.34) and Dry matter accumulation (5536 kg ha-1) and higher weed control efficiency (99.2%). Among the herbicidal treatments, pre emergence application of pendimethalin + imazethapyr (ready mix) followed by hand weeding at 40 days after sowing (T7) gave significantly (P=0.05) higher results in growth components of groundnut and weed suppression compared to other herbicidal treatments

Data Hiding in Video Streaming by Code Word Substitution

Data hiding techniques can be used to embed a secret message and secret image into a video bit stream for copyright protection, access control and transaction tracking. They are some data hiding techniques to assess the quality of video in the absence of the original reference. To avoid the drawback of existing system such as lossless compression, gray scale mapping and noisy images forces higher bit plane when distortion are easily visible.Data hiding is also used for concealment in applications of video transmission, gray scale mapping and noisy image. Edge quality information and number of bits of a block are hidden in the bit streams processed in an encrypted format to maintain security and privacy. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15035

E-cigarette exposure causes early pro-atherogenic changes in an inducible murine model of atherosclerosis

Introduction: Evidence suggests that e-cigarette use (vaping) increases cardiovascular disease risk, but decades are needed before people who vape would develop pathology. Thus, murine models of atherosclerosis can be utilized as tools to understand disease susceptibility, risk and pathogenesis. Moreover, there is a poor understanding of how risk factors for atherosclerosis (i.e., hyperlipidemia, high-fat diet) intersect with vaping to promote disease risk. Herein, we evaluated whether there was early evidence of atherosclerosis in an inducible hyperlipidemic mouse exposed to aerosol from commercial pod-style devices and e-liquid.Methods: Mice were injected with adeno-associated virus containing the human protein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) variant to promote hyperlipidemia. These mice were fed a high-fat diet and exposed to room air or aerosol derived from JUUL pods containing polyethylene glycol/vegetable glycerin (PG/VG) or 5% nicotine with mango flavoring for 4 weeks; this timepoint was utilized to assess markers of atherosclerosis that may occur prior to the development of atherosclerotic plaques. Results: These data show that various parameters including weight, circulating lipoprotein/glucose levels, and splenic immune cells were significantly affected by exposure to PG/VG and/or nicotine-containing aerosols.Discussion: Not only can this mouse model be utilized for chronic vaping studies to assess the vascular pathology but these data support that vaping is not risk-free and may increase CVD outcomes later in life
