Reusing Test-Cases on Different Levels of Abstraction in a Model Based Development Tool
Seamless model based development aims to use models during all phases of the
development process of a system. During the development process in a
component-based approach, components of a system are described at qualitatively
differing abstraction levels: during requirements engineering component models
are rather abstract high-level and underspecified, while during implementation
the component models are rather concrete and fully specified in order to enable
code generation. An important issue that arises is assuring that the concrete
models correspond to abstract models. In this paper, we propose a method to
assure that concrete models for system components refine more abstract models
for the same components. In particular we advocate a framework for reusing
testcases at different abstraction levels. Our approach, even if it cannot
completely prove the refinement, can be used to ensure confidence in the
development process. In particular we are targeting the refinement of
requirements which are represented as very abstract models. Besides a formal
model of our approach, we discuss our experiences with the development of an
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system in a model driven development process.

Numerical analysis and case study on the mitigation of mining damage to the floor of no. 5 coal seam of Taiyuan Group by grouting
Based on the geological condition of panel 22507 of the no. 5 coal seam at Dongjiahe coal mine, numerical analysis of the stability and water permeability of the floor aquiclude before and after grouting was conducted using Rock Failure Process Analysis (F-RFPA2D). The dynamic development, extension, and distribution of the cracks in the aquiclude are discussed. It is shown that grouting can increase the effective thickness of the aquiclude, reduce the floor damage depth, and control the floor water inrush path, thus effectively improving the overall strength and water blocking capability of the aquiclude. These numerical study results were applied to facilitate relevant engineering work at Dongjiahe coal mine. The mitigation measures involved grouting the floor of the no. 5 coal seam, allowing panel 22507 to be mined safely above confined water. This exercise provided invaluable experience in preventing water inrush hazards
Simulations of cold electroweak baryogenesis: dependence on the source of CP-violation
We compute the baryon asymmetry created in a tachyonic electroweak symmetry breaking transition, focusing on the dependence on the source of effective CP-violation. Earlier simulations of Cold Electroweak Baryogenesis have almost exclusively considered a very specific CP-violating term explicitly biasing Chern-Simons number. We compare four different dimension six, scalar-gauge CP-violating terms, involving both the Higgs field and another dynamical scalar coupled to SU(2) or U(1) gauge fields. We find that for sensible values of parameters, all implementations can generate a baryon asymmetry consistent with observations, showing that baryogenesis is a generic outcome of a fast tachyonic electroweak transition
