Lichens of Kesap district (Giresun, Turkey)
In this study, 135 taxa belonging to 60 genera are
reported from Ketap district, NE coast of Turkey. All are new to the district
and Acrocordia cavata (Ach.) R. C. Harris, Arthonia leucopellaea (Ach.) Almq.,
Bacidia arceutina (Ach.) Arnold, Caloplaca atroflava (Turner) Mong., Gyalecta
biformis (Körb.) H. Olivier and
Rhizocarpon infernulum (Nyl.) Lynge are new records for Turkey
A new lichen record for Turkey and additions to the lichen diversity of the Giresun Province (Turkey)
A list of 136 lichen species from the Giresun province (Turkey) is reported. Among them, 73 are new records for province, and Acarospora molybdina is new to Turkey. Here with, the infraspecific taxa for the province rise from 475 to 548. Locality and substrate data is presented for each taxa. Brief taxonomic description and comments are also provided for the Acarospora molybdina. © 2018 Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest
Samsun İlinde İz Element Konsantrasyonlarinin Likenler Kullanilarak Biyolojik Olarak Belirlenmesi
Lichens have been widely used in biomonitoring studies. In this study, Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn concentrations in some foliose and fruticose lichens which are found in Samsun were investigated and the differences among the species in terms of trace element concentrations and possible interactions among heavy metals were also examined. The results of the present study show that the study area is polluted by Pb and Cd. The cadmium contamination levels were also higher than those of the other elements. The highest Pb (101.39 ppm), Cu (43 ppm) and Zn (67.60 ppm) levels were found in Physcia adscendes. In addition to this, Hypogymnia physodes is one of the foliose species and the best accumulator of Cd (245.73 ppm) as compared to the other species
