Peran Karang Taruna Bunga Bakung Dalam Pelestarian Hutan Adat Melalui Kearifan Lokal

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to describe the role and to find out the obstacles of Karang Taruna in Sajau Village in preserving customary forests based on local wisdom. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that the role of Karang Taruna in the preservation of customary forests in Sajau Village was to collaborate with customary institutions, village government, and the Sajau Village community to monitor, report, and enforce customary law based on local wisdom. Constraints in the preservation of customary forests are due to internal factors of the Sajau Village community taking wood in the customary forest without the permission of the customary institutions and the Sajau Village government and external factors there are people who do not know the boundaries of the customary forest, and the company is interested in buying customary forest land. The conclusions of the research are (1) the role of Karang Taruna in the preservation of customary forests, namely: Coordination with the village government and the Sajau Village customary institution to make and stipulate customary rules, conduct supervision, maintain customary forests, enforce customary law (2) Constraints in the preservation of customary forests, namely: Threats from within the village, communities from outside the village and threats from companies.  Keywords: Adat, Forest, Wisdom, Youth Organization. &nbsp

Perancangan Knowledge Management System Menggunakan Tools "Book Review": Studi Kasus pada Universitas Bina Nusantara

The role of knowledge in developing and maintaining an organization has been strongly regarded as a very important asset. Bina Nusantara University is one of the universities that is aware of the importance of book as main knowledge media in the learning process. Reviewing books and sharing the results can be a major resource to perform maintenance on knowledge and accelerate the learning process. A problem that occurs in Bina Nusantara University is no application to do Book Reviews. There are no tools that facilitate discussion between book reviewer and book review reader. The purpose of this research is to design features of Book Review on Knowledge Management System (KMS) in Bina Nusantara University. It is expected that book review features are useful for faculty members and staffs in doing book reviews. The methodology used in this study is literature study and design a KMS application using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 technology. Conclusion of this research is the application of KMS Book Review in Bina Nusantara University can encourage book reviewers and facilitate book review readers to discuss and interact more optimally

The purpose of this study is to design and implement features of Knowledge Management System (KMS) in Bina Nusantara organization specifically to facilitate knowledge capture, knowledge sharing, and document knowledge to nurture the development of knowledge that occurs in the environment Bina Nusantara. KMS is expected to prevent the knowledge walkout that due to the high turnover rate at Bina Nusantara. Cost analysis of warranty based on lemon law with multiple failures and total downtime

Analysis of warranty costs is a topic that is widely studied in various finished product industries. One type of warranty that applies is a product warranty under Lemon Law. This guarantee under Lemon Law applies a lot to automotive products such as cars. Lemon Law is a law that protects consumers from poor quality new goods that are not in accordance with related product standards but can reach consumers. With this Lemon Law, consumers can return products that are proven to have a lemon condition in the hands of producers to then get a refund (replacement ) or replacement with a new similar product ( replacement ). The product can be claimed in a lemon condition if: (1) the car has been returned to the dealer four times because it needs to be repaired on the same problem / faulty part, but the dealer is unable to fix it satisfactorily; or (2) the car has been out of service for more than 30 days due to one or more damage. Analysis of warranty costs in this study includes replacement cases with compliance with conditions (1) only, replacement cases with fulfillment of conditions (2) only, and replacement cases with fulfillment of conditions (1) and conditions (2). A simulation method is designed to illustrate variations in the condition of the damage to the car during the warranty period as well as variations in repair time when damage occurs based on a particular distribution. The algorithm of the simulation is then modified and developed to determine the expected cost that fulfill the conditions (1) and (2)

Perancangan Sistem Otomatis Update pada Aplikasi Desktop Abios

Unlike web applications easier to update the latest version, desktop applications more difficult and must involve the user in doing so. It is caused by a desktop application is an application that is installed in the computer user. The purpose of this research is to design an automatic system updates on a desktop application, an example case: Application Binus International Operational Support (ABIOS). This research used literature study and system design. In desktop applications, often there is update the latest applications that are not known to the user who sometimes fatal and disrupt business operations. Generally, developer will inform the changes version to user that they can update the application. In an update of applications, should be done by the system automatically, not manually by users. Once in a while, the user background is not from computer base. After doing the research, it can be concluded that the system automatically updates the application has benefits to users in obtaining information regarding the latest version, and can assist in automatically update the latest application is based on computerization. For further development of this system is expected to operate on multi platforms and or mobile applications

THE EMPOWERMENT OF YOUTH COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN KARANG ANYAR NEIGHBORHOOD OF MATARAM CITY THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE CAPACITY ON HYDROPONIC FARMING SYSTEMS

Abstrak: Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan sistem bertani hidroponik bagi kelompok Karang Taruna Lingkungan Karang Anyar Kota Mataram. Penerapan sistem bertani hidroponik sangat cocok digunakan di daerah perkotaan karena memiliki beragam keunggulan, diantaranya adalah pertumbuhan tanaman dapat dikontrol, kuantitas dan kualitas hasil produksi tanaman tinggi dan yang paling utama adalah dapat diaplikasikan secara optimal pada lahan yang terbatas. Adapun metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan melalui tiga tahapan, antara lain: (1) Tahapan Persiapan; survey pendahuluan yang merupakan tahapan untuk melihat kondisi awal mitra akan kebutuhan serta potensi yang ada, (2) Tahapan Pelaksanaan; sosialisasi dan pelatihan bertani dengan sistem hidroponik, dan (3) Tahap Akhir; pendampingan dan evaluasi kegiatan untuk menilai sejauh mana mereka memperoleh manfaat dari bertani dengan sistem hidroponik. Meningkatnya kapasitas pengetahuan mitra tentang sistem bertani hidroponik, keterampilan untuk mengaplikasikan serta wawasan saluran distribusi penjualan diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif bagi mereka untuk memperoleh manfaat secara ekonomi dan sumber tambahan penghasilan.Abstract:  This community service program aims to increase the knowledge capacity about the hydroponic farming systems for the members of youth community in Karang Anyar neighbourhood of Mataram City. The application of hydroponic farming systems is very suitable in urban areas because it has many advantages such as controllable plant growth, high quantity and quality of crop production, and most importantly, applicable optimally on limited space and limited soil. The method of implementing the community service was carried out through three stages that included: (1) Preparation stage: conducting a preliminary survey to observe the initial conditions of partners regarding their needs and potentials, (2) Implementation stage: conducting socialization and training on hydroponic farming, and (3) Final stage: mentoring and evaluation to measure the extent to which the community service program has benefited our partners in using hydroponic farming systems. The increased capacity of partners' knowledge about hydroponic farming systems as well as skills to apply and insight into sales distribution channels is expected to be an alternative for them to gain economic benefits and additional sources of income

Polemik Dasar Negara Islam antara Soekarno dan Mohammad Natsir

Soekarno dan Natsir adalah dua tokoh yang mempunyai pandangan yang berbeda tentang hubungan antara Islam dan negara. Soekarno sebagai seorang ideolog dan pemikir politik yang pemikirannya banyak mempengaruhi dasar-dasar nasionalisme dewasa ini berpandangan bahwa agama harus dipisahkan dari urusan negara. Sementara Natsir sebagai seorang ideolog reformis muslim dan arsitek negara Islam yang moderat berpandangan bahwa agama Islam sebagai agama peradaban yang membimbing manusia memasuki alam modern harus disatukan dengan negara. Namun dari polemik yang terjadi antara kedua tokoh ini terdapat kesamaan keyakinan diantara mereka dalam hal demokrasi. Natsir menyatakan bahwa Islam adalah ajaran yang paling demokratis. Tidak ada satu pun agama yang menghendaki kesamarataan lebih dari Islam. Soekarno juga berkeyakinan bahwa umat Islam dapat memperjuangkan aspirasinya secara optimal dalam suatu negara yang demokratis
