    The background of this research by environmental damage, mainly in the province of Riau forest fires annually resulting in smoke that interfere with human health and activity. Schools have a major role in shaping the character of students, one of which is the character of environmental care. Students involved with activities Go Green School which is a program to instill character environmentally conscious students. The problems of the study are how the Go Green School movement towards the formation of character care about the environment a students Model Kuok Kuok District of Kampar regency. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of Go Green School movement towards the formation of character care about the environment a students Model Kuok Kuok District of Kampar regency. This research is useful for the reader to add insight and information about education. This research method is quantitative descriptive. Data collection instruments used in this study is a questionnaire consisting of 34 questions about the influence of the movement Go Green School (variable X) and 39 questions of character formation caring environment (variable Y). Data was analyzed using simple linear regression. Thus the hypothesis that "there is a Go Green Movement Influence on Character Formation School Students in the Environmental Care Model MTsN Kuok Kuok District of Kampar regency" acceptable. This is evidenced by the simple linear regression between the variables X and Y, obtained Fcount 8.051 and 4.10 Ftable obtained from the study of the distribution list Ftable with N = 40, the significant level of 5%, and is therefore known Fcount ≥ Ftable or 8.051 ≥ 4.10 then Ho is rejected, so the hypothesis in this study received

    This research is conducted in order to improve the writing skills of the grade eight students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Talangbatu Tangkiang by using a roundtable strategy. In conducting this research, the researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the method of research. This research consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps, they were: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. To collect and analyze the data, the researcher used the descriptive qualitative method. The qualitative data obtained by observing the teaching and learning process, interviewing the English teachers and the students of grade eight. The qualitative data were in the form of observation sheets, teaching journals and interview. The successful of criteria of this research were the students might be able to write the descriptive text through the successful of process. The results showed that the roundtable strategy can improve the students of eight grade of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Talangbatu Tangkiang's writing skill on descriptive text. The improvements could be seen in the teaching and learning process, participations, enthusiasm, understanding the material of descriptive text, and classroom circumstances became better

    Jenis talas Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott di Jawa mempunyai dua varietas botani yaitu C.esculenta var. esculenta yang umumnya tumbuh di dataian rendah dan C. esculenta var. antiquorum (Schott) Hubbard & Rehdei yang tumbuh liar di tepi-tepi sungai lereng pegunungan. Jenis lainnya yaitu C. gigantea (Bl.) Hook. f. (talas padang, sontrang) biasa tumbuh liar di hutan jati dan tawa. Perbungaan talas-talas budidaya jarang dihasilkan sehingga penanaman daii biji tidak lazim dilakukan dan perbanyakan tanaman lebih dikenal dengan anakan.     Septic arthritis is a rare joint disorder, and can be caused by various pathogenic microorganisms, including bacteria, virus, mycobacterium, and fungus. The incidence of this infection is between 2 to 10 cases per 100,000 populations annually andcan reach as high as 30 to 70 cases per 100,000 in immunodeficient population. This disorder is frequently unidentified in early phase of the disease due to its unspecific symptoms and signs.1 This joint infection can cause numerous problems to the patient ranging from joint damage, bone erosion, osteomyelitis, fibrosis, ankylosis, sepsis,or even death.1-5 The case-fatality rate for this disorder can reach up to 11%, comparable to the case fatality rate for other community infections such as pneumonia.2,6 Salmonella sp. is a Gram-negative bacillus bacterium with main invasion predilection in intestinal villi.7 This microorganism rarely causes septic arthritis although several cases have been reported before.     Molybdenum-99 (99Mo) Adsorption Profile of Zirconia-Based Materials for 99Mo/99mTc Generator Application

    Technetium-99m (99mTc) plays a major role in diagnostic nuclear medicine and has not yet been replaced with any other radionuclides. It is available through the 99Mo/99mTc generator. The use of low-specific-activity 99Mo for 99Mo/99mTc generator application requires high adsorptive capacity sorbents. This study focused on the determination of 99Mo adsorption capacity of several zirconia materials, namely monoclinic nanozirconia, orthorhombic nanozirconia, sulfated zirconia,   and phosphated zirconia. These materials were synthesized by using the sol-gel method and characterized using FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy/energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The determination of 99Mo adsorption capacity of these materials was carried out by soaking the materials in a Na299MoO4 solution with pH of 3 and 7, at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 90 °C, for 1 and 3 hours. The results indicated that monoclinic nanozirconia has a 99Mo adsorption capacity of 76.9 mg Mo/g, whereas orthorhombic nanozirconia, sulfated zirconia, and phosphated zirconia have 99Mo adsorption capacities of 150.1 mg Mo/g, 15.58 mg Mo/g, and 12.74 mg Mo/g, respectively. It appears that orthorhombic nanozirconia has the highest 99Mo adsorption capacity among the synthesized materials and can be applied as a candidate material for the 99Mo/99mTc generator

    ABSTRACTSurfactant represents one of industrial products from a downstream industry of palm. The development of surfactant has a strong prospect. Surfactant which is widely used in the personal care industry is diethanolamide (DEA). The use of DEA in a personal care  product is to improve foam and emulsion stabilizer. In this research, we used DEA for 1, 2 and 3%. The best result was achieved by using 3% of DEA. The characteristics of transparent soap were total water and evaporable substance content of 10,31%, total fatty acid of 32,84%, unsaponifiables fraction of 1,08%, insoluble matter in alcohol of 1,06%, free alkali of 0,44%, pH of 10,33, foam stability of 51,50%, emulsion stability of 98,37% and hardness of 2,95 mm/sec.Key words : dietanolamida, surfactant, transparent soa
