Back from the future. Defining sustainable employment through backcasting = Vissza a jövőből: A fenntartható foglalkoztatás definiálása backcasting módszer segítségével

A doktori disszertáció a fenntartható foglalkoztatás fogalmának tisztázásához kíván hozzájárulni a főáramú gazdasági paradigmákon túl. A dolgozat kutatási kérdései arra vonatkoznak, hogy a) mi a fenntartható foglalkoztatás; b) milyen elemei vannak a fenntartható foglalkoztatásnak; és c) milyen szakpolitikai beavatkozások vezethetnek egy ökológiailag és társadalmilag fenntartható foglalkoztatás irányába. A disszertáció elméleti háttereként szolgáló ökológiai közgazdaságtan olyan kutatási terület, amely a neoklasszikus elméleteken túllépve keresi a környezet eltartóképességét, és a társadalmi igazságosságot is tiszteletben tartó, nem növekedés-központú gazdasági működés alapelveit

The capital and its surrounding areas constitute an important agglomeration even by European standards. Greater Budapest includes Budapest itself with its two million inhabitants and the adjoining areas which include altogether 0.4 million inhabitants in 43 settlements. 32 per cent of Budapest's passenger traffic is made up of journeys directed towards or coming from the inner part of the capital, 17 per cent are journeys within the inner districts; 90 per cent of the latter ones are handled by means of public transport and 10 per cent by individual means of transport. Approximately 55 per cent of the starting points of transport in the settlements of the area of Greater Budapest represent journeys directed towards the capital. 39 per cent of the daily transport in one direction is run by the buses of the Budapest Transport Company (BKV) and 26 per cent by the local train (HÉV) lines, which amount to 65 per cent in total. The total length of the public transport network is 1019.4 km in the capital, beyond its boundaries it amounts to 121.3 km. Its density in Budapest is 2.0 km/sq.km, in the populated areas it is 4.0 km/sq.km
