Anhand von konkreten Fallbeispielen werden die Arbeitsbereiche der kirchlichen Interessenvertretung gegenüber staatlichen und gesellschaftlichenInstitutionen, der kritischen Begleitung von Gesetzesvorhaben und parlamentarischen Prozessen aus kirchlicher Perspektive sowie der inhaltlichen Abstimmung der in Nordrhein-Westfalen ansässigen (Erz-)Bistümer und des Austausches mit dem Evangelischen Büro erläutert. Das wohlwollende, dennoch mitunter spannungsreiche Verhältnis zwischen Staat und Kirchen wird beleuchtet und auch die spirituelle Aufgabe des Katholischen Büros herausgestellt.AbstractThis paper attempts to describe the manifold functions of the Katholisches Büro Nordrhein-Westfalen (Catholic liaison office North-Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). Case studies will illustrate the field of activity of this body representing Catholic interests against those of state or social institutions, its critical guidance in legislation projects and parliamentary processes, as well as the project coordination of the North-Rhine-Westphalian (arch)dioceses and the exchange with the Evangelical liaison office. The benevolent, yet occasionally tension-filled relationship between State and Churches will be examined, and special emphasis is put on the Catholic office’s spiritual mission

Flexibility is one of today’s key business requirements. Transferring flexibility to the enterprise means that the enterprise needs to be able to operate in different ways. Classically this should be realized by a high degree of adaptability. However, you could also foresee and forethink possible ways of doing business and build your company accordingly. We call this state, where an enterprise is constructed in a way that it is able to seamlessly enter collaborations, Enterprise Interoperability. In this paper, we conceive the concept of Enterprise Interoperability. Furthermore, we depict its characteristics and decompose it into partial areas of interoperability that affects enterprises. Finally, we conclude in a framework that comprises and captures Enterprise Interoperability
