    A Survey on Graph Database Management Techniques for Huge Unstructured Data

    Data analysis, data management, and big data play a major role in both social and business perspective, in the last decade. Nowadays, the graph database is the hottest and trending research topic. A graph database is preferred to deal with the dynamic and complex relationships in connected data and offer better results. Every data element is represented as a node. For example, in social media site, a person is represented as a node, and its properties name, age, likes, and dislikes, etc and the nodes are connected with the relationships via edges. Use of graph database is expected to be beneficial in business, and social networking sites that generate huge unstructured data as that Big Data requires proper and efficient computational techniques to handle with. This paper reviews the existing graph data computational techniques and the research work, to offer the future research line up in graph database management

    Dynamics of 10 clusters of galaxies with substructures

    We present a detailed Chandra study of a sample of 10 clusters of galaxies selected based on the presence of substructures in their optical images. The X-ray surface brightness maps of most of these clusters show anisotropic morphologies, especially in the central regions. A total of 22 well resolved significantly bright X-ray peaks (corresponding with high-density regions) are seen in the central parts (within rc/2) of the clusters. Multiple peaks are seen in central parts of six clusters. We found 11 peaks to have optical counterparts (10 coinciding with the brightest cluster galaxies of the 10 clusters and 1 coinciding with the second brightest galaxy in A539). For most of the clusters, the optical substructures detected in the previous studies are found to be outside the field of view of Chandra. In the spectroscopically produced two-dimensional temperature maps, significantly lower temperatures are seen at the locations of three peaks (two in A539 and one in A376). The centers of five clusters in our sample also host regions of higher temperature compared to the ambient medium, indicating the presence of galaxy scale mergers. The X-ray luminosity, gas mass, and central cooling time estimates for all the clusters are presented. The radial X-ray surface-brightness profiles of all but one of the clusters are found to be best-fitted with a double-β model, pointing toward the presence of double-phased central gas due to cool cores. The cooling time estimates of all the clusters, however, indicate that none of them hosts a strong cool core, although the possibility of weak cool cores cannot be ruled out

    Floral stalk on date palm: a new discovery

    Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) is harvested for its sweet fruit mainly in the middle east and other parts of the world. It has been cultivated for several thousand years and is known to be found in Mesopotamia as well. Besides the fruit, the various parts of the tree are employed for variety of uses. The stalks of the fruit, which connect the fruit to the spikelet, are very beautiful, colourful flower like structures, which have never been described earlier. These fruit stalks could be used for decorations in houses and would then add to more economic gain to the farmer.     IOBR: Interoperable bee-hive routing in a heterogeneous multi-radio network

    WiMAX and WiFi are the two proliferating wireless technologies with different physical and Media Access Control (MAC) layers. Today, WiFi radio is present in almost all the devices, and most of the devices are equipped with WiMAX radio. Both these technologies can be utilized, if the devices are equipped with both of them, to improve the performance. To cope up with the scenario, a method for routing in a heterogeneous infrastructure based mesh network is proposed. The heterogeneous network consists of a coordinator node and a subscriber node. In this paper, we assume that the coordinator nodes are equipped with both WiMAX and WiFi radios, whereas, the subscriber nodes need not have WiMAX radio. The protocol used for routing data is based on the bee-hive algorithm, in which the entire network is divided into foraging zones/regions. We propose a technique in which the intra-foraging zone communication happens through WiFi and the nodes across the foraging zone communicate via the coordinator using WiMAX. It is observed through simulations that our technique improves the overall network performance by making use of both the radios efficiently

    Reliability and delay analysis of slotted anycast multi-hop wireless networks targeting dense traffic iot applications

    Studies on IEEE 802.15.4 MAC in the current literature for anycast multi-hop networks do not capture a node's behaviour accurately. Due to the inaccurate modeling of state-wise behaviour of a node, the optimization of network parameters has not been efficient so far. In this work, we include the state-wise behaviour of a relay node into a 3D Markov model to more accurately investigate the protocol performance. Performance analysis of the proposed analytical model is evaluated for different variants of active state length, packet length and wake up rates considering reliability and delay as key performance metrics.
