Effect of a combination of donepezil tablets and butylphthalide soft capsules on neurological function in dementia patients, and its effect on serum inflammatory factors

Purpose: To determine the effect of combined use of donepezil tablets and butylphthalide soft capsules in the treatment of patients with vascular dementia, and its effect on serum inflammatory factor levels and neurological functional recovery of patients.Methods: 120 patients with vascular dementia were selected and assigned to group A (n = 60) and group B (n = 60). All patients were treated with donepezil tablets, while patients in group A were, in addition, treated with butylphthalide soft capsules. Mini mental state examination (MMSE) scores, clinical dementia rating scale (CDRS) scores, activities of daily living (ADL) scores, incidence of adverse reactions, serum inflammatory factor levels and neurological functional recovery were determined.Results: There was significantly higher MMSE score in group A than in B, while CDRS score was lower in group A. The ADL scores and inflammatory factor levels were lower in group A than in B (p < 0.001), while neurological functional recovery was markedly better in A (p < 0.001). Incidents of unwanted events were comparable in groups A and B, and there were no serious complications in the patients.Conclusion: The combination therapy of donepezil tablets and butylphthalide soft capsules reduces inflammatory factor levels and improved cognitive level and quality of life of patients with vascular dementia. It also produces good neurological functional recovery and low incidence of adverse reactions. Therefore, this treatment strategy has potentials for the management of vascular dementia

Factors Controlling Spatial Variation of Iodine Species in Groundwater of the Datong Basin, Northern China

AbstractTo better understand the distribution of iodine speciation composition and the controlling factors in groundwater from the Datong basin, hydrochemical studies were conducted. Total iodine concentrations in groundwater ranges from 6.2 to 1380μg/L, with the mean value of 243μg/L. Speciation of iodine in groundwater is mainly controlled by redox potential. Under reducing conditions, iodide is the dominant dissolved species, while in sub-oxic and oxic conditions, iodate is the major species, with a lower proportion of iodide. The evident existence of organic iodine in several groundwater samples may be related to anthropogenic activities

THE CORRELATIONS BETWEEN DYNAMIC WALKING STABILITY AND PERCEPTION-MOTOR ABILITIES OF HUMANS

External perturbations can challenge a person’s walking stability, and people will autonomously make a series of responses to regain the balance of walking, which includes two periods: perturbation-perception (reaction time, RT) and posture-adjustment (motion time, MT). The purpose of this paper was to investigate the correlations between the dynamic walking stability and perception-motor abilities. During the 30 level walking trials preformed by sixteen healthy participants, perturbations were applied at random. The fall probability (FP) during the walking with perturbations was calculated to evaluate the dynamic walking stability of each participant. Furthermore, the ground reaction force (GRF) of each participant during walking with perturbations was recorded and analyzed. The experimental results show that the RT had a significant positive-correlation with FP, while MT had no correlation with FP

Greenhouse gas emissions from municipal wastewater treatment facilities in China from 2006 to 2019

Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) alleviate water pollution but also induce resource consumption and environmental impacts especially greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Mitigating GHG emissions of WWTPs can contribute to achieving carbon neutrality in China. But there is still a lack of a high-resolution and time-series GHG emission inventories of WWTPs in China. In this study, we construct a firm-level emission inventory of WWTPs for CH4, N2O and CO2 emissions from different wastewater treatment processes, energy consumption and effluent discharge for the time-period from 2006 to 2019. We aim to develop a transparent, verifiable and comparable WWTP GHG emission inventory to support GHG mitigation of WWTPs in China

This study through reading to sort out quality management and quality inspection standards and specifications, identify five the prefabricated building quality specifications and workers professional quality of 16 factors, and then using the theory of quality management theory, labor productivity, literature research, identify quality evaluation specifications and general factors of professional workers, using the method of case analysis and expert interview to collect quality evaluation specification and workers professional quality characteristic factors, identify common workers professional quality influencing factors of 4 first-level indicators, 16 secondary indexes, prefabricated building quality five evaluation indexes, and further to a total of 21 indexes both generality and individual character classification, found 11, 10 personality. The extraction and analysis of the key factors affecting workers’ occupational literacy on the quality of assembly construction provide a research basis
