    Tanaman cabai merah keriting dapat menurun kualitas dan kuantitasnya karena penyakit kuning yang menyerang pada fase vegetatif maupun fase generatif. Kelompok Wanita Tani Putri Handayani di Pekon Sidokaton, Kecamatan Gisting masih menerapkan pestisida dan pupuk kimia untuk budidaya tanaman cabai keriting. Metode yang dilakukan untuk pengabdian masyarakat ini dimulai dengan kunjungan dan penyuluhan ke KWT Putri Handayani dan dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan budidaya cabai merah keriting, pembuatan pestisida nabati serta perbanyakan dan pembuatan kompos Azolla. Setelah pestisida nabati dan pupuk kompos Azolla dibuat, kemudian diaplikasikan pada tanaman cabai merah keriting yang ditanam di lahan percobaan. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pengamatan intensitas serangan penyakit dan dilakukan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah KWT Putri Handayani tertarik dan minat untuk membudidayakan cabai merah keriting secara organik (mengimplementasikan pestisida nabati dan kompos azolla). Setelah pemberian penyuluhan KWT Putri Handayani mampu membuat pestisida nabati dan kompos Azolla secara mandiri. Hasil pengamatan nilai intensitas serangan penyakit kuning keriting pada budidaya cabai merah keriting secara organik setelah diaplikasikan pestisida nabati hanya sampai 30%

    Effect of Various Yeasts Antagonists on Anthracnose Disease and the Shelf Life of MangoPostharvest decay on mango may occur due to physiological damage and/or postharvest disease especially anthracnose. This postharvest decay may decrease the quality of mango fruit. The use of antagonists yeast as biocontrol agent is an alternative control measure for postharvest diseases of fruits. This study aimed to screen yeast species as biological control agents and in the same time delaying the maturity of fruits to extend its shelf life.  Six isolates of yeasts were evaluated, namely Cryptococcus albidus, Cryptococcus terreus, Aureobasidium pullulans, Rhodotorula minuta, Candida tropicalis, Pseoudozyma hubeiensis); fungicides treatment using azoksistrobin was applied for comparative treatment. The study was conducted at two temperature conditions, namely room temperature and 15 ° C. It was evidenced that C. albidus, A. pullulans, and C. tropicalis were effective to control anthracnose disease on mango under both temperatures.  Furthermore, C. tropicalis and A. pullulans were able to extend manggo shelf life for 21 days at room temperature and for 54 days at 15 °C, respectively

    Organic waste in the form of food scraps, vegetables, rotten fruit and leaves, fills the gutters and causes unpleasant odors and becomes a breeding ground for disease. Therefore, residents really need to be given education through training to process household organic waste independently. Through this activity, it is hoped that the environment will be cleaner and residents will no longer litter. Organic waste is fermented with EM4. The addition of EM4 activator aims to accelerate composting. The organic fertilizer produced will be applied to various vegetable gardens (spinach, chili, and tomatoes) which are developed in polybag media and planted on the sidelines of the yard. Through this service activity, the knowledge and skills of the people of Rekso Binangun Village, Rumbia District, Central Lampung Regency have increased regarding the use of household kitchen waste into liquid organic fertilizers so as to minimize air pollution due to household kitchen waste and the long-term impact is the community of Rekso Binangun Village accustomed to using organic fertilizers to reduce chemical fertilizer residues
