    ADHD in girls

    This work deals with differences in ADHD manifestation in girls and boys and problems associated with ADHD such as problematic interaction with peers, substance use or problems with self-perception and executive functions. The work also deals with comorbidities with ADHD in girls (eg. depression, anxiety disorders or eating disorders). The aim of the research project is to gain insight into the manifestation of ADHD in girls in school environment, as perceived by teacher who have experience with these girls. This insight can potentially serve as an overview of ADHD manifestation in girls in school environment. This overview could then be used by other teachers to be aware of ADHD manifestations in girls which differ from ADHD manifestations in boys. Awareness of these differences could help in earlier help and support of girls with ADHD. Keywords ADHD, ADHD in Girls, Hyperactivity, Gender Differences, ComorbiditiesTato práce se zabývá rozdíly v projevech ADHD u dívek a chlapců a problémy spojenými s ADHD jako je problematická interakce s vrstevníky, užívání návykových látek nebo problémy se sebehodnocením a exekutivními funkcemi. Práce se také věnuje komorbiditám s ADHD u dívek (např. deprese, úzkostné poruchy nebo poruchy příjmu potravy). Cílem výzkumného projektu je získat vhled do projevů dívek s ADHD ve školní prostředí, tak jak je vnímají učitelé, kteří mají s těmito dívkami zkušenost. Tento vhled může potencionálně sloužit jako přehled projevů ADHD u dívek ve školní třídě. Tento přehled by poté mohl sloužit ostatním pedagogům, aby věděli o projevech ADHD u dívek, které se liší od projevů ADHD u chlapců. Povědomí o těchto rozdílech by mohlo pomoct v dřívější pomoci a podpoře dívek s ADHD.
